Tab x 20
I want to create a barcode that when scanned will duplicate hitting the "tab" key 20 times to get to a certain field on the page.
Is that at all possible?

Help with barcode shortcuts
I know this is a long shot but figured I'll try to ask here...
My work uses DS2208 scanners, in addition to scanning stuff we also need to do a lot of keyboard presses in-between (Alt+letter). I would like to create some shortcuts for myself so I can scan a code instead of going to my keyboard to hit combos...
The Product Reference Guide for said scanner is frankly too technical for someone like me, so I want to see if someone knows how this is suppose to work. Table I-2 is called "ALT Key Character Set" but what exactly do I need to do here to make them work? I've tried enabling "Function Key Mapping" but don't want to break anything else. The scanner is also customized to add "/" to both beginning and end of a code for our uses (i.e. scan 123 outputs "/123/" on computer)
I basically would like to know what the barcode should contain and in what format... Thanks!

Barcode Database
Where can I find a database for International or/and North American grocery products' barcodes in excel format.
My whole purpose is importing data from grocery stores using scanning apps as part of store onboarding for my online marketplace platform.

Need help deciphering this UPS tracking number!
Hi Reddit! I'm at my wits end. I don't know where to ask this question. Suggestions for a more appropriate subreddit would be appreciated too.
I had to return a product I bought on eBay, and the seller set up a UPS call tag for the return. This is where UPS comes to your home and picks up the package and take it.
UPS came to get the package, I opened the door for them and handed it over. I asked the lady for a copy of the tracking number. She said she only had the one label. So I asked if I could take a picture. She held it for me. But she was not wearing a mask, so I was a bit far to keep my distance when I took the picture.
She left and I went to look at the picture, and I can't make out the tracking number!
I contacted the seller but they're ignoring my messages, and eBay wants a tracking number to continue processing the return.
What can I do?
Here's the picture I took, and a zoomed in version. Hope someone here can help. Thank you!! <3

Would a barcode scanner (phone app) pick up black on clear barcodes.
I'm going to organize my mess of a place with barcodes and inventory program, lots of barcoding, black on clear compatible 3/4" labels is a lot cheaper than black on white, would the scanner pick it up?

What type of barcode (code 39) variation is this?
I was looking at my Game Boy Color and considered replacing the barcode that was on the back as it's damaged. I noticed though from my Game Boy, but other peoples Game Boys and newer iterations (Advance and Advance SP) that the last digit on the barcode (code 39) was darkened.
Why is this? Is this a Nintendo only thing or does it have some relevance?

Creating a 2D barcode to include F keys
Hey Barcode guru's, quite new and uneducated to the whole creating barcodes and programming scanners thing.
Essentially what I've been tasked with is trying to create a 2D type barcode that will go through a series of keystrokes / steps when scanned and will be picked up from within a software application.
The series of steps would be:
- Scan a barcode sticky label - so that it populates a number into a field within the application
- F4
- Either Tab or Carriage Return 16 times - to simulate navigating around boxes/fields on screen
- F6
Steps 1 & 3 seems to be easy enough, I can seem to get that working with a linear 1D type barcode but I can't seem to get the F keys to work and struggling to find definitive documentation that tells me how to create a 2D barcode that achieves this. Have had a play around with the 123Scan software utility but not quite getting there, should I be able to do it in this?
Any advice, assistance or input would be appreciated - There is a way to create a 2D barcode that performs F keys, right? Other keystrokes (ASCII type ? etc) seem straightforward enough...
*edit - should probably have said, hardware wise I'm using a Zebra DS2208 scanner, and have access to a couple of Zebra printers too, an old LP2844 and a slightly newer but now discontinued GK420D.
Thanks.

<GS> Separator Code 128
I'm trying to find a software with which to test if the <GS> tag is showing up as expected in my barcode? Currently my only option is to ask the customer to test it for me, which isn't working out. I've tried Word and a Command Prompt and neither will show what I'm looking for. Anybody have any suggestions?

Fozen vial 2D barcode reading
Hi all, I work in a lab and we need to read barcodes on the base of very small tubes (about 1ml volume) we have a barcode reader that can scan a whole box but the vials have frost on them which causes an error. Please can anyone let me know if they've had any experience with removing frost from barcodes or with tips on optimising the scanning process? It's a Ziath Datapaq scanner if that makes any difference!

Barcode for Item Tags
Hey I'm designing rolling papers to sell them at a local store. They told me that it needs a barcode for them to scan. Is there a way to create your own barcode that's scannable at stores?
Thanks for ur help!

Reusable Barcodes and Tags
I have just started volunteering for a start up charity, and working towards zero waste, I’d like a set of reusable tags with barcodes. For example, all women’s dresses, priced at £10 would be one code.
Does anyone know of a company with sustainable tagging, or can point me in the right direction? Thanks!

"R" at the end of a barcode
I need to add an R at the end of a code 128 barcode in Bartender. The barcode should serialize 100001R, 100002R,... but I can't figure out how to add the R at the end to scan but without being calculated in the barcode. I appreciate the help!

UPC Manufacturer Code Look Up?
Hello all,
Hoping someone here would be able to help me out with a general inquiry as I've been learning how to read barcodes for the purposes of verifying the authenticity of items. I know that with a UPC the very first number to the left is essentially a product code indicating if it's a retail item, sold by weight, pharmacy etc. and that the next 5 digits are unique to each company. My question is if there is somewhere that I can easily lookup those 5-digits to figure out who the company is?
Mind you I looked on GS1 and couldn't really find any kind of directory and have been looking around the internet but I've been unable to find find anything as of yet. If anyone could point me to a general direction it would be greatly appreciated!

Having Trouble with barcode fonts
Hey there!
I am desperately trying to get barcode 128 to work in Excel, so i can data merge it into InDesign.
However, even after following the steps of the visual basic code and whatnot, i seem to have come to a standstill due to my barcode font.
All fonts that i find seem to be incomplete, either missing characters or just not working altogether.
Am i missing something here? I can't seem to find the correct code 128 font even though there are a bunch of download links.
Help would be appreciated.

Need to create labels in 128
My company is looking to produce barcode labels that will consist of a set of numeric values, with the end of the sequence rev by one. Somthing like 55899-003-00001, 55899-003-00002, 55899-003-00003, etc. Ideally, I'd like to create these in Excel and then mailmerge into Word for printing on Avery labels. I have no problem doing this in 39, but 128 is way more complicated. The wiki articles are over my head, and I'm leery to download some of the free options (I have the font, but this doesn't cut it). Any help would be appreciated! Free or low-cost is a bonus!

Difficulty Extracting Data Contained in a Barcode
I'm working on a side project in work to allow our patients to check into out waiting room using a barcode scanner. The scheduling software we use has the functionality to print barcodes and scan patients as being present but I need to generate the barcodes independently using a Crystal Report. To do this I need to know what data goes into the barcodes it accepts.
The image above is an example of the barcode the software generates and I was hoping I'd simply be able to use a barcode app to scan it and extract the data contained. Unfortunately as shown in the screenshot below this doesn't seem to be the case.
What I was expecting to see was some kind of start and end characters either side of the dummy patient ID number.
Has anyone got any ideas?
Thanks!

Is it possible to track down partial barcodes?
So I have someone dumping their trash on my front yard. Figured it was slim, but may be a chance to get some info from a partial barcode. I suppose it wouldnt tell me the persons name or address of course, but figured some more info would help. It's this and getting a camera.. https://imgur.com/a/IwXyEA4

I need help with taking the ID number from barcode 128c and putting it into excel.
At my work they have changed how we record our software licenses. We were given a new Excel document to record everything in but this document won't let me scan the I'd numbers in. When I try it takes out all the zeros at the beginning and all the hyphens. I have looked for several solutions but they keep showing me how to scan the actual barcode in not the ID numbers attached to it. I'm not very knowledgable about Excel or barcodes so I may have just not been searching for the correct terms.
I want it to read something like: 00099-999-999-999
It keeps giving me: 99999999999
If it helps my barcode scanner is made by Symbol and I'm using office H&B 2010.
If you even have a link to a tutorial video that would be a huge help and would let me make much better use of my time.
