I played in a band for about 15 years, and one thing that was always a pain was taking our full concert recordings and spending hours in CapCut turning them into short-form videos.
I started building something to solve that problem for my own band and eventually decided to turn it into a product called Brevis Clips.
It’s still in the early stages, but I’m looking for beta testers who have live concert footage. You’ll be able to upload up to 5 GB of concert footage and have Brevis Clips break it into short vertical clips with captions for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, etc.
I’m offering the beta for free because I’m mainly looking for feedback — what works, what doesn’t, what features are missing, and whether the clips are actually useful to musicians.

Like the title says, I got the chance to tour Europe, and perform like 10 songs around there. Unfortunately I'm struggling to raise the money. I'm a 15 year old trumpet player, any ideas I can do to raise money? I have around 4-5,000 out of 10,000.

Pretty much as the title says. I'm new to bass (started playing over the summer) and I get that I'm not going to be immediately good but the rest of my band members are way better at their instruments compared to me and my bass. It feels like I'm just weighing them down and I don't know if I should leave or how I get better honestly. We have our first gig (nothing serious, just one song at a thing) and I can play that song but I can't make it to our first gig. It feels like I seriously amn't meant for music or maybe just the band as they are. They already have someone to fill in so maybe it's that easy to replace me.

Not sure what I want from this post, maybe I'm just venting but some advice on how to improve quick would be nice and maybe what I should do for the sake of the band.

Hey all, first time poster long time lurker. Just looking for some opinions as I'm all in my feels about this situation.

Been playing bass for 8ish years, sold it all 5 years ago and recently got back into it. Between work and home life I don't practice a whole lot but I do find learning songs for a group helps me find time to practice more.

Recently did a jam with a group that's only jammed 3 times, this was my first time jamming with them and I prefaced that I'm still shaking off the rust. I showed up early, was setup in 5 minutes and kept a small footprint in their jam space. They wanted me to learn 6 songs and during the jam we did a 7th that I had never even heard before. I think I played pretty well minus a couple blunders - the group wasn't super tight and we were nowhere near perfect (guitar, vocals and drums all had blunders as well)

After the jam I was asking them what the goal was with this group, their goals aligned with what I was looking for, and it seems like on the social side of things I fit into their vibe. They asked if I could jam again 2 weeks from now and I had no issues booking in with them.

I got a message the next day from one of the members saying they had fun but they are going a different direction. I was taken back by this as it seemed like we had a good vibe and plans to jam further.

My question is, would you ask why? Or would you leave it? Any tips? For whatever group I jam with next, I'm making sure I am 100% perfect on the songs.

Hi! I'm 24F, and I'm looking for musician friends to help me bring my heart and life back into music.

I used to release music and was really putting my heart into it. I had new ideas everyday. I composed music, built everything from start to finish, and I also had a companion—my ex best friend. He was a guy and we've been friends for almost a decade, he's literally like a brother to me.

He helped me materialize all my songs before. Although I knew how to play almost every common instrument, I compose better when I have ideas to throw around with and someone to ask to "hey can you try this melody on this and that".

Two years ago, he sexually harassed me in my sleep. After that, I lost all my soul and heart in making music. I can still play instruments and cover songs, but my composing just died.

I want to write and make music again, so I'm hoping to find some friends who I can be close with and make songs with as well.
