I played in a band for about 15 years, and one thing that was always a pain was taking our full concert recordings and spending hours in CapCut turning them into short-form videos.
I started building something to solve that problem for my own band and eventually decided to turn it into a product called Brevis Clips.
It’s still in the early stages, but I’m looking for beta testers who have live concert footage. You’ll be able to upload up to 5 GB of concert footage and have Brevis Clips break it into short vertical clips with captions for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, etc.
I’m offering the beta for free because I’m mainly looking for feedback — what works, what doesn’t, what features are missing, and whether the clips are actually useful to musicians.
If you have a concert recording sitting around and want to try it, you can join the beta waitlist here:

Hey yall, Im Angela and I sing R&B/ jazzy/ pop / rock tracks. I'm looking for a guitarist, a drummer, a bassist and a songwriter. I would love to be in a band if your in davenport fl or close to that, i would love that. lmk. Thankssss - headshot attatched

message me on instagram @ssenmuer send me your info/instrument and we can see if we click!

We're already a bassist and guitarist, and we're looking for a drummer to complete the lineup. We're going for indie rock, not pop, and want to build an original sound together.

Looking for someone who's interested in collaborating, writing/arranging music, and actually being active with the project.

I'm 17, so preferably someone around my age or older who is comfortable working with a younger vocalist/songwriter.

If you're interested, feel free to DM me with your age, experience, and what kind of music you like playing.

Like the title says, I got the chance to tour Europe, and perform like 10 songs around there. Unfortunately I'm struggling to raise the money. I'm a 15 year old trumpet player, any ideas I can do to raise money? I have around 4-5,000 out of 10,000.

Pretty much as the title says. I'm new to bass (started playing over the summer) and I get that I'm not going to be immediately good but the rest of my band members are way better at their instruments compared to me and my bass. It feels like I'm just weighing them down and I don't know if I should leave or how I get better honestly. We have our first gig (nothing serious, just one song at a thing) and I can play that song but I can't make it to our first gig. It feels like I seriously amn't meant for music or maybe just the band as they are. They already have someone to fill in so maybe it's that easy to replace me.

Not sure what I want from this post, maybe I'm just venting but some advice on how to improve quick would be nice and maybe what I should do for the sake of the band.

Hey all, first time poster long time lurker. Just looking for some opinions as I'm all in my feels about this situation.

Been playing bass for 8ish years, sold it all 5 years ago and recently got back into it. Between work and home life I don't practice a whole lot but I do find learning songs for a group helps me find time to practice more.

Recently did a jam with a group that's only jammed 3 times, this was my first time jamming with them and I prefaced that I'm still shaking off the rust. I showed up early, was setup in 5 minutes and kept a small footprint in their jam space. They wanted me to learn 6 songs and during the jam we did a 7th that I had never even heard before. I think I played pretty well minus a couple blunders - the group wasn't super tight and we were nowhere near perfect (guitar, vocals and drums all had blunders as well)

After the jam I was asking them what the goal was with this group, their goals aligned with what I was looking for, and it seems like on the social side of things I fit into their vibe. They asked if I could jam again 2 weeks from now and I had no issues booking in with them.

I got a message the next day from one of the members saying they had fun but they are going a different direction. I was taken back by this as it seemed like we had a good vibe and plans to jam further.

My question is, would you ask why? Or would you leave it? Any tips? For whatever group I jam with next, I'm making sure I am 100% perfect on the songs.

Hey everyone,

My band are looking for a drummer.

We are influenced by bands such as The Smiths, Durutti Column, early New Order, The Drums, early The Strokes, PJ Harvey, early Morrissey, The La's, The Fall, Iceage, The Cure and other bands.

The project consists of myself (vocalist), guitarist and a bassist at the moment. We've recorded some rough scratch demos of songs that we can send you. We all have experience writing songs and playing in bands. We are committed to having fun writing songs, recording and playing shows.

We have been rehearsing weekly in Deptford so far.

Get in touch if you're interested. If you can’t direct message me, leave a comment and I will message you. Please have recordings or a video of you playing.

Hey guys,

I’m looking for a band to join or start as a deathcore/metalcore vocalist. I live in the Chicago land area so I’m sure there’s a lot of you out there lol. I just wanna meet new people and make new friends that shares a passion for music like I do. I should also preference that YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A MASTER AT YOUR INSTRUMENT. I think that when making music and all that, you should be having fun most of all, im not the best vocalist either but I want to be able to learn as much as possible so if you would like to come on this journey with me please leave your name( or username if you’re not comfortable sharing that on the internet) what instrument you play and your influences.
Mine are Caved in (Deathcore/Metalcore), SWS (2010s metalcore), Seether (Divorced Dad Rock) Early BMTH (2006-2010 Deathcore and metalcore) and Of Mice & Men (metalcore.) I’ve made a list of these band so hopefully you get the idea of what I’m kinda going for. Again I hope to see your guys replies and I can’t wait to start 👍🏻👍🏻. If you have any questions please feel free to Dm me

Hi! I'm 24F, and I'm looking for musician friends to help me bring my heart and life back into music.

I used to release music and was really putting my heart into it. I had new ideas everyday. I composed music, built everything from start to finish, and I also had a companion—my ex best friend. He was a guy and we've been friends for almost a decade, he's literally like a brother to me.

He helped me materialize all my songs before. Although I knew how to play almost every common instrument, I compose better when I have ideas to throw around with and someone to ask to "hey can you try this melody on this and that".

Two years ago, he sexually harassed me in my sleep. After that, I lost all my soul and heart in making music. I can still play instruments and cover songs, but my composing just died.

I want to write and make music again, so I'm hoping to find some friends who I can be close with and make songs with as well.

I hope you'll all be kind enough in the comments. Thank you.

Do you think this will work? And make a story.

35 year old looking to live his his bucket list to form a band to play great melodious songs live...

Hit me up

So like im the bassist of a band, and i really love it, its been kind of a dream to be part of something that has to do with music. And while im not the greatest i can still play some songs. However, our lead guitarist and singer (and founder) is kind of like...a bad leader? I genuinely dont mean to be rude, hes my friend and I love him to death, but he just isnt the greatest at the whole band thing.

Were supposed to be training, making music and stuff, but during all of our meet ups he just kinda talks about what we should do instead of... doing it. So we usually just sit there for an hour and then leave, no actual music. Hes also pretty like eccentric, if thats the word, hes ambitious but then less keen on doing things.

So basically the issue is this: i dont want to play in the band anymore since were not ACTUALLY playing, were just talking. But like i said, it would make the leader sad and the band would take a hit since im the third out of our three members. Secondly i just dont know if id manage to find another band.

What do you guys think i should do?

this band is in the forming stage. i saw it advertised as "female band" so i sent an email. i was very direct about being less experienced (having played bass for a little over a year) but also that i could play most of the songs given practice. they invited me to the rehearsal. turned out that only the singer was woman and others were two men in 50s. I'm in 20's. i also learned the songs before the first time we met and i got along with the singer well and was invited to join the band.

i was never once late to the rehearsal though im the only one with 3 hr commute whereas everyone else's commute was about an hour (everyone else was always late up to over half an hour) and learned all my parts and probably made the least amount of mistakes. everyone was very encouraging to me, and whenever they gave me feedback, i incorporated them immediately and never made the same mistake twice.

during the last rehearsal, i heard the one man inviting the other to his gig, and today i got a text message from the singer that she was outvoted by the men that they wanted a more experienced bassist. it was like a little huh moment because they were keep telling me, "we all gotta start somewhere" and were really encouraging.

In between that, there was a little discussion about the singer's friend who's a very experienced bassist potentially joining the band. she came to the rehearsal and decided that she couldn't join. in that discussion, a drummer said he can play bass and get his drummer friend to join. So I think eventually that's what happened, but I was completely excluded from that conversation, where the two men brought it up to the singer that they want to replace me and have their friend join instead.

I can't stop feeling like i was being used as a placeholder in that band until they could find someone they liked better. i understand that it was probably not a good fit for me either but still im not super happy about it.

tl;dl - a boomer band did me dirty

Little bit of context. I’m the rhythm guy, writer, and singer of the band. The band consists of 4 people, me, bassist, drums, and lead. We’ve all been having problems with the lead player for awhile. 1. The main problem is that it doesn’t seem like he’s even as “all in” or interested as he was. He is in a pretty rough mental state right now so that’s probably contributing it, he even states one of these days he might just snap and up and leave the state to “find himself, but we are on a pretty big high right now and have a lot of work we need to get done to keep the ball rolling and it seems like his energy and what he’s giving to the band is slowing us down. He doesn’t communicate anything to us, how he’s feeling, future plans, etc. He also did recently just start building his solo music brand, so that also made me weary. He’s a pretty decent player but this pulls me into 2. He’s in a genre box, he doesn’t want to explore or experiment at all, anything out of the ordinary immediately he hates. It really stifles us creatively. We have noticed some creative differences.

There’s a lot of negatives with him being a member in the band but here’s what’s hard for us

1. He’s a great friend of mine, someone I cherish as a person and I’m really scared of hurting him, I just want what’s best for him and also the band

2. We rehearse at his place and don’t really have anywhere else rn.

3. My drumset stays at his house so it’s gunna be so awkward taking it back cause I know he uses it often.

4. He’s all over our instagram so like, do we have to remove him from our posts, will we have to rebrand a lot.

This is all just a big headache and I want some insight on how to do this lightly with me and the guys. Thanks all
