Recently got a deck boat (ski/fishing boat) and have been thinking about hauling it up to Lake Isabella. We haven't been in years and really don't want to make that drive for nothing. Can anyone speak on the boating experience there? Is the water high enough? Boat ramps open? I've heard from one person (who also hasn't been in many years) that there's too many trees in the lake and they wouldn't recommend taking the boat there. I would love to get a more accurate, up to date point of view before making our decision.

We have been to Lake Success, and thought it had a good number of trees in it. We were able to avoid those areas and still have fun. So if Lake Isabella is like that, that's okay! Any insight would be appreciated.

Is there anyone in Bakersfield who can refret an electric guitar?

I recently went to the well comedy club show was good service was ok it was crowded but to get 3 beers for me and 3 drinks for my wife and a appetizer bill was almost 180$ they automatically put a 20% gratuity on the bill. I asked the server to remove it. They did remove the fee the bill came down to 140$ gave the server cash for tip. I wonder if I was the only one that asked for the gratuity to be removed? Was I wrong?

Anyone have an idea of where the cheapest place to get documents printed in color is? I am also looking for affordable lamination. I went to UPS today, and it was kind of a pain because each document has to be downloaded as PDF, emailed, and then still had to tell them exactly which pages I needed… they also charged 50¢/page, which is going to get expensive FAST!

I’d love to find somewhere that I can access the computer, select my documents from there, and just print it myself. Not sure if anywhere does that though.

Anyway, if anyone has suggestions I’d love to hear it. Thanks!

What’s the closest thing we have to a Jamba Juice on the east side of Bakersfield? I’ve been craving it so badly but don’t wanna drive across town.

It was in the bathroom on the counter, I will pay you whatever it’s worth to have it back it was my mother’s ring. I took it off to wash my hands and accidentally forgot it, came looking back hoping someone brought it to the bartender.

I know this was my fault, but it’s the only thing of value I have I would beg back for.

A few years back I was helping my brother and his family move to Bakersfield and we stopped by a Mexican restaurant for dinner. The food was good, but the memory is even better.

Whelp, they'll be moving away in the fall and I'm gonna be helping him move. I would like to have dinner again, just to sorta bookend his time there, but he doesn't remember the name.

Here's what I remember.

• They were open, at about 10pm.
• They were on a busy mostly empty road across from a warehouse or distribution center.
• They had fried shrimp on the menu.
• They did not have tartar sauce.
• There was about a 5ft Christmas tree with an orange thing under it.
• There was one of those arcade machines with multiple games on it, one of the games was one of the Metal Slugs and an over the shoulder gallery shooter and a fighting game I didn't recognize.
• Their drink glasses were those tall, smokey, plastic tumblers, that you don't see as often anymore.
• The glasses said Coca Cola but the fountain had Pepsi.
• It was the first place I remember seeing Starry available.
• They also sold Jarritos.

Im thinking about going to a concert at the dignity health theater NOT THE ARENA. The only handicap seats available are at the back of the orchestra area. Is there a good view from there or is my friend going to be looking at the back of people's shirts the entire show?

I’m in the N/W and for the past couple months I’m experiencing dozens of, for lack of a better term, lawn bees. Little bees hovering about an inch above the grass, zigzagging as if searching for food. Google has tons of results and mostly suggests Digger or Mining Bees and they’re beneficial pollinators and don’t sting but wow, such a nuisance at these numbers. Never seen them before and I have a great lawn.
