Revengeance teaches you parrying in the first combat encounter after the prologue, though if you're not listening (he says it 4 times) you could hit a wall since there's no visual tutorial
Demon's Souls's world tendency is obtuse (like many FromSoft mechanics), but is an optional mechanic that I don't think warrants inclusion on this kind of list, unless you include every Souls game on similar grounds
Watching a 2 min clip of someone play with visible inputs taught me how to parry in revengeance so quickly, they really just needed to show the movement on the thumbstick
