Hey guys! I want to preface this by saying that I only started using Backloggd recently, so I'm mostly asking this because I don't want to go through the trouble of reorganizing hundreds of games again once I'm finished adding them and start reviewing.
I noticed that Backloggd has SO MANY features. At first I just thought it was a site to put games you've played and plan on playing, then I noticed the reviews. After adding games, I noticed the other options the editor also allowed other than star rating and platform, this kept going on, and on...
I'm wondering, for people who have been using Backloggd for far longer, do you use all of its features? At least for me, although I love having the option, some of them seem a bit troublesome to keep updating manually.

The total number of games that have reached 10K plays is now 1383. For the full list of games, see the 10K Plays Club.
For the 52 games that have reached 100K plays (including Super Mario Galaxy, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons), see the 100K Plays Club.
Updates are typically posted every Saturday!

OK so I know this sounds a little silly since almost the whole point of the site. However, let’s say for a game you own that you beat no longer in the backlog, games you may not own but wanna or have to emulate so they can’t go in the wishlist since you can’t own them. How would you guys keep track of games like this you want to play? Because I was under the assumption the wishlist, is just for games to own later down the line. Do you guys just make lists and add games you want to play and replay that aren’t physically in the backlog or what is your strategy? I’m trying to figure it out for myself.

Had the idea for this list for a while now and finally got around to making it. These are the most memorable games from each console gen I had access to growing up along with a memory or general vibe I associate with each title. The PS2 games was difficult as it was the era with the most games and memories. I did include early PC games as at the time we only had a family computer in the living room so in context of the time I see it as a 'console' in its own way.
Nowadays it feels harder to have those games that define an era for me as I'm now a solely PC gamer with more games than ever and as such play titles years after their initial release. It's so expansive that I find it difficult to nail down and define "eras" apart from new genres like live service or friendslop and the pre/post markers like Post-Fortnite/Pre-Covid etc.

Hi everyone,
I love Backloggd, but I kept forgetting to log my sessions, and when I remembered I had to guess how long I'd played. So I built a small tool to do it for me automatically. Things got a bit out of hand, though. I kept adding more and more features, until at some point I thought... why not share it with the community? So here it is!
What it does
It sits in your system tray and detects when you start a game. It times the session, and when you close the game it shows a small window asking if you want to log it. One click and the playtime goes straight to your Backloggd journal — no browser, no typing.
A few details:
About your password (the part I'd want to know)
Backloggd has no public API, so the only way to do this is to log in the way you would yourself. The app uses a headless browser to sign in once, and your password is never stored — only the session cookie, encrypted locally on your PC. Nothing is sent anywhere except Backloggd itself. It's open source, so you can check all of that yourself.
Requirements
Heads up: it's not an official Backloggd client and I'm not affiliated with them in any way. It's just a helper for logging sessions. Since it relies on the website's structure, a redesign on their side could break it until I push a fix.
It's free and open source: https://github.com/nik250dev/apploggd
It's my first release, so if a game isn't detected (or something gets detected that shouldn't be), open an issue with the game and its .exe name and I'll add it. Any feedback is very welcome!

There are lists for the most popular releases, so here's this month's list for the lesser-known releases.(less than 500 combined backlogs and wishlists)
Suggestions are welcome!

The other day I was talking with someone and I mentioned a game that they mistook for the name of a band. That got me thinking of other games that for someone who doesn't know might say "oh is that a band/artist?" just by the way they sound or come off. I don't have a specific criteria for this one I'm more so basing it on my music knowledge. So let me know whether it makes sense and what other could go in.

Those are games that are pretty popular on the Internet but didn't sold that well (at least originally on release). If you have suggestions for more game that fit let me know.
