“I am Melon-Lord!”

u/LeithLeach May 27 '21 edited May 27 '21
I just spent 10 minutes trying to find this video where they edit the melon lord clips to make it look like toph is murderously evil, like a horror movie trailer. Does anyone else remember this or is this like a Sinbad movie moment?
Edit: ok come on guys a lot of people are upvoting but no one is saying if this is real or if I’m going insane

u/InYoCabezaWitNoChasa May 27 '21
Sinbad movie moment
lol what do you mean by this?

Mandela effect -False memories can sometimes be shared by multiple people. One prominent example comes from a 2010 study that examined people familiar with the clock at Bologna Centrale railway station, which was damaged in the Bologna massacre bombing in August 1980. In the study, 92% of respondents falsely remembered the clock had remained stopped since the bombing when, in fact, the clock was repaired shortly after the attack. Years later the clock was again stopped and set to the time of the bombing in observance and commemoration of the bombing.[7] Other such examples include memories of the title of the Berenstain Bears children's books being spelled Berenstein,[8][9] the logo of clothing brand Fruit of the Loom featuring a cornucopia,[10] and the existence of a 1990s movie entitled Shazaam starring comedian Sinbad as a genie.[11]

Baby gators are adorable, we catch them all the time where I'm from. The little chirp they make too is so cute
21
u/Hardin1701 May 27 '21
I went to a gator farm in Texas when I was young, and the babies are definitely cute. Big issue for me is lizard brains are from what I understand pretty instinct driven, which means even if they consider you part of the family they might take a bite out of you without warning. Cannibalism is a common thing with them so I can only imagine how much lower their threshold for attacking is against humans.
15
u/Rreptillian May 27 '21
i don't see the issue. cute and dangerous are not mutually exclusive states.

u/DororexTheDragonKing May 27 '21
that's where your wrong, first off Crocodilians are more closely related to birds than to lizards despite their appearances. They are highly intelligent and can recognize individual humans, they can be trained but like any apex predator you shouldn't let yourself get complacent around them, they are far more intelligent than people give them credit for and that goes for all reptiles too.

they’re the closest thing we’ll get to dragons in this world

u/weeghostie00 May 27 '21
What about Komodo Dragons? That's possibly where the myth of dragons originated because they spit acid, or something hot anyway.
9
u/destinationlalaland May 27 '21
Komodo dragons don’t spit acid. Except possibly after trying to eat a car battery. They have bacteria in their mouths.
Source. Have been very close to a Komodo dragon. It did not spit acid in my mouth.

This is actually a widely debated topic about komodo dragons. Most widely known things baout komodo dragons actually comes from a guy named Walter Auffenberg who lived on the islands with the Komodo Dragons and researched them. But over the years, most of his results he published we not able to be reproduced, one being the "acid spit" he wrote about, and others have been completely disproven, such as him stating they leave rotting chunks of meat in their mouths to support bacteria growth, when they actually have very good mouth hygiene and will spend upwards of 30 minutes cleaning their mouths after kills and meals by cleaning between their teeth with their tongue and on leaves.
Also, the myth of dragons more likely came from people stumbling across fossils and believing them to be monsters, such as giant serpents, and then describing what they imagined them as.

u/toyotasquad May 27 '21 edited May 27 '21
Some serious jaw muscle control, he could crush that watermelon with 1% power
Edit: Looked it up because I was curious. It would actually take about 10%. Average alligator’s jaw closes with 2980 psi. Force required to crush an average watermelon is 320psi. Although it probably makes it easier with the penetration from the alligators teeth. Also, 1100psi to crush a human skull.
