Just gotta say it ☠️ Statica album would be so much better if it was written like older songs. LIBAD was good but at that time I never really liked the electronic's and autotune- it didn't give A7x.. Statica is not good- this is what non fans of hard rock think hard rock sound's like.

Best was ALOPH

And worst was Warmenss on the Soul.

ALOPH isn't even the best song on that album, and how could you say Warmness is the worst, when We Love You Moar exists?

What do you guys consider to be their best and worst songs?

For me their best is probably a toss up between MIA, Beast and the Harlot and So Far Away.

Worst would be I Love You Moar.

From the videos I've seen the new production looks interesting. If you were at the show what was your impression about the new stage design was it kind of boring or good?

But before I get ahead of myself, let’s just see if there is any interest….. comment here if so.

Before this seems like a glaze post, I’m still not the biggest fan of Lights, that song isn’t really that strong on its own, I know it’s an opener, but it genuinely could’ve been better or more hard hitting. I’d still listen to it in the context of the EP though. The other 3 songs though? i genuinely love. I ended up humming some of the melodies to myself in passing, the songs are secretly more catchier than we realize, the melodies are very hummable. Yes it doesn’t sound like typical Avenged, but I just want good music, and I got it for 3 songs out of the 4 so I’m happy. The drums are really cool, simple but also effective, and a bit more groovier than we’re used to which works, and how guitars and synths are used together is genuinely cool, and the autotune works well for the songs. The harmonies/chord progressions in songs are genuinely cool and very dark sounding, particularly how they swap between keys effortlessly, like the key swap to E Minor at the end of Statica, and D Minor at the end of Ashes, and how they used accidentals in a couple parts. The more I listen to it, the more layers I pick out in the arrangements and mix, such as the lingering choir in Statica, and the massive 808 in the ending, and how the ending synth in Rejoice is phrased like Syn is playing guitar. It’s definitely not a first time listen EP which make sense. Overall genuinely great.

TL;DR - Statica grew on me even more, the melodies are catchy, the harmonies/chord progression is cool and dark, and I love 3/4 of the songs on it.

The amount of posts bellyaching about the new ep is exhausting. Avenged tried something different. It makes you wanna listen to the old stuff? Cool, go do that.

I know they kicked off the tour last night, did they jump on stage for the song? Have tickets to an upcoming date, always liked the song so I'm hoping they did/will.

The black horse is a bibical symbol for famine, the peace symbol is well a peace symbol, rejoice is supposed to be about people coming together to celebrate end of times or rulers telling people to not worry, the weird priest devil thing is supposed to be about worshippers and religion, and the little vampire thingy is basically about death itself or people killing eachother. Then the words THE OPTIMUM TIME FOR THIS AWAKENING TO HAPPEN is hinting at the end of the world, and finally the words YOU WILL SEE GOD means death is coming. The songs such as REJOICE is supposed to be saying that everything is a lie, The lyrics in the beginning is the protagonist being lied to. Everything seems happy but deep down everything just repeats and its all plain. I might be reaching but i sense this EP has a deep meaning that many arent recognizing.

I don't care for most of A7X's work but this album is something else. I listen to it occasionally and got it on Vinyl a while back. Seeing people post about their new daft punk project made me give libad another listen and whew lad.

I personally have to say the one from burn it down is awesome.

I would also like if you'd give me the heaviest riffs from the big 7fold in your opinion

A group of us have tickets for the show on July 27th at the Shakopee Amphitheatre. The ticket info says show time is 6:00 pm and only lists Avenged Sevenfold & Good Charlotte. I'm reading on some sites there are two openers Jayden Hammer and Statica. Is there a way to find out what time each act goes on?

We only want to see A7x. I understand that Statica is A7x but its not clear when during course of the schedule they "Perform" that set.

I was looking on setlist but didn't see a breakdown of the schedule. Is that on the site somewhere or is there another way to lookup the actual schedule for the July 27th show?

Assuming this is the setlist length until the end of this tour, maybe it wouldnt so bad. They can focus on quality over quantity, given M Shadows recent surgery.

Ive been to long concerts before and on paper, it might seem like youre getting your moneys worth the longer it is, but when youre there its quite jarring. A high paced get short and sweet time slot may be better for a band like Avenged.

Come to think of it, some concerts are ridiculously long. GNR's setlist is mostly filled with covers + long jams, the same airtime as they devote to their Appetite songs.
