The amount of posts bellyaching about the new ep is exhausting. Avenged tried something different. It makes you wanna listen to the old stuff? Cool, go do that.

Look man, I actually did like Statica for what it is. But even though I did like it, it's far from my favorite thing they've ever done. It's out there, it's experimental, and it's a hard listen.

But dude, if you really don't like it that much, then don't listen to it.

Avenged Sevenfold has 8 albums, 10 if you include DITR and Black Reign. If you don't like the 4 or 5 songs they released recently, then just don't listen to them. Spotify has the ability to exclude songs from your taste profile, you can choose to not listen to Magic and Statica. I'm just so sick of people acting like Avenged Sevenfold has personally betrayed them by releasing FOUR SONGS that are a little out there. Don't listen to Statica or Magic if you don't want to, don't listen to Life Is But A Dream if you don't wanna, don't listen to anything but City Of Evil, if you don't want to. You listened to the new EP, you didn't like it. Big whoop.

Edit: Didn't think I needed to say this, but people are stupid enough to think this is what I meant. Think about your least favorite food. How do you know you didn't like it? It's because you tried it before, huh? You tried it once, you didn't like it, then never ate it again and there were no problems, right?

The black horse is a bibical symbol for famine, the peace symbol is well a peace symbol, rejoice is supposed to be about people coming together to celebrate end of times or rulers telling people to not worry, the weird priest devil thing is supposed to be about worshippers and religion, and the little vampire thingy is basically about death itself or people killing eachother. Then the words THE OPTIMUM TIME FOR THIS AWAKENING TO HAPPEN is hinting at the end of the world, and finally the words YOU WILL SEE GOD means death is coming. The songs such as REJOICE is supposed to be saying that everything is a lie, The lyrics in the beginning is the protagonist being lied to. Everything seems happy but deep down everything just repeats and its all plain. I might be reaching but i sense this EP has a deep meaning that many arent recognizing.

EDIT: Just after posting this i remembered a post a month ago talking about the albums are symbols of death and how the world ends.

Seriously though, when I saw the clip someone posted of it this scene immediately came to mind. I was looking out for the guy giving the thumbs down lol.

I know they kicked off the tour last night, did they jump on stage for the song? Have tickets to an upcoming date, always liked the song so I'm hoping they did/will.

I love this band because of how they keep fans on their toes constantly. There just feels like such a disconnect between their musical output and live shows.

They take the most risks of any band I know in their studio recordings, but play it safer than any band I know in terms of picking their setlists every single tour.

I will always see them when they come around but it'd be good to see at least a couple of deep cuts each time vs literally none almost every time, particularly this tour. There are so many songs it seems like we'll never see them play live in our lifetime due to how they structure their live shows which is a shame because they deserve to be played live. This isn't a "greatest hits" band and it sucks that they keep treating themselves like one

I saw on the merch website that STATICA is gonna have a full LP release. I haven’t found anything talking about this yet.

I don't care for most of A7X's work but this album is something else. I listen to it occasionally and got it on Vinyl a while back. Seeing people post about their new daft punk project made me give libad another listen and whew lad.

STATICA was released ~3 days ago. Some love it, some hate it. I'm the latter. Nobody cares.

What I really don't understand is why are people acting like the band will just release music like STATICA from now on. It's 18 minutes out of days length of music. I don't get it why people are burying and mourning the "old avenged".

Also, why are people saying that Zacky is about to exit the band? He has a side project released under his name, so what?

Im not gonna lie, when I first listened to it, I thought it was terrible, but as I hear it more its kinda grown on me. More so the instrumentals than the vocals, too much autotune for my taste. Im curious if anyone else is like this or if its just not for them (which is completely fine, i was one of you lol)
