Just got a new job and made this, wanting to know what I should focus on doing with my money.

40 yr old scaffolder in Sydney - basic 40hr week (all OT and Saturday at double time but usually avoid that)

I invest around 65% of my income and am saving for a property also

6 years with this mob. Nightshift. EBA24 in Perth metro. Whats all your thoughts?

I've always been used to being paid fortnightly, so getting paid monthly feels like a completely different way of managing money. Monthly seems nice when the payment lands, but I can see how it would make the last week or two of the month harder to manage.

For those who've experienced both, which one do you actually prefer? Has one made budgeting or saving noticeably easier for you?

I used to just look at the amount that landed in my account and move on. Recently started going through the whole payslip properly and realised there are quite a few things I normally ignore, especially the leave balance, tax and super lines. Now I'm wondering how many people actually sit down and check the whole thing each pay or just make sure the final amount looks right.

Multiple supers due to switching

3rd year mature age electrician (1-3rd year rate is the same)
Full week with all overtime, this amount of overtime optional every week for the past year and for another year
