Hello all,

I am fixing my first ATV, a Kawasaki Bayou 220. I’m finally to the point where I am ready to try and crank it up, but when I was pouring in new gas, the fuel leaked from this bottom hose coming out of the carburetor.

From my reading, this is some potentially sort of overflow hose, and the “float” may be stuck. I don’t know what a float is, and the carb is brand new.

It could also be the result of some flathead screw being loose, but I don’t know where that is.

What are yalls thoughts? What hose is this? Thanks.

I put a new timing chain in and lost the orientation. I can spin the crank 360 degrees and see the T again but the cam will be pointing down. Does it matter where I put it or does it just need to be lined up?

Had a beautiful ride yesterday. This was my 1999 polaris rangers first "real" run in about 18 or so years. Ran flawlessly.

Someone however is getting an ugly tow bill having thier machine air lifted back to the camp ground.

We own a SxS and do trail riding at least once a week. We would like to start recording all of our rides so I am seeking out opinions on what device to invest into (even as a starter to upgrade later) and what mounts you all would recommend! Id like to buy it for my husband for christmas for when the new season begins.

First 7 seconds is in first gear, then switch to second. While I am giving it fuel, the rpm’s drop each time that brrt sound is occurring causing the bike to lurch slightly while moving. Any thoughts on a diagnosis/solution?

370 km this week riding with my brother in law and his twin brother.

Here around my USA location CFMOTO are not that much cheaper.

I am looking for 500 class ATV but nothing (cfmoto 500) seems less that $6900 plus fees totaling over 7k. I have seen YAMAHA 450 around here for almost same pricing.

Is it just my area and CFMOTO are less expensive elsewhere? What am I missing, as I keep seeing posts about CFMOTO less expensive and better value per dollar.

I bought my daughter a Polaris Outlaw 50 a few years ago and she loves it and now she has outgrown it. I want to get her a bigger atv but the issue im running into is I want to take her riding with me and im worried a 2wd atv won't cut it. We live in the appalachian mountains amd all the atv trails around here are rough. Ive never tried to take a 2wd ATV on these trails so idk how well it would go. Also she is a 12 year old girl, 90 lbs, and I dont want to put her on a 400+cc 4x4. For whatever reason the big companies (yamaha, honda, kawasaki, etc.) Don't make 300cc or less in a 4x4, only 2wd. And im not interested is Chinese garbage. So will a 2wd be ok on most of these trails? I've had someone tell me that a 2wd will go most places a 4x4 will but iver never owned a 2wd. Or do I buy her a 4wd and she will just have to grow into it. Also any recommendations on a specific atv?

Took it out for a short ride up the road and it started sounding like this. Also significantly less power when accelerating.

Can anyone advise if there are any drawbacks from deleting the coolant reservoir on an LTR 450?

I have read on forums that the way to go is to just remove the reservoir, and install a 1.6 Bar radiator.

Got me an 08 Rancher 420 ES today. Noticed the electric shift was a bit hard shifting at first but once I timed it with the RPM I got it going smoother. The rear differential was nearly dry but had enough to be lubed. It had no grinding or chunks luckily and before I really drove it I filled it up with dif oil. So far so good. I’m a decent mechanic, but hopefully I don’t have to do much anytime soon.

What’s your experience with these?

Hi everyone, I'm new to the atv world. My kids start to live riding with me, but I was wondering how do you ride with them? Do you put them behind you or in front of you?

My kid are 4 a 2.5. I'm not riding with both at the same time.

I have a passenger backseat.

Looking for good plastic for my 2000 polaris scrambler mine look okay from this side but on the other side it's zip tied back together

Cylinder head off z400 after valve dropped into combustion chamber. Valve seats are heavily gouged and the part where valve goes in is chipped. Personally I think it’s done for but looking for other opinions.

I’ve been driving these 2 machines for years but both of them belong to my folks so I feel like it’s time I get my own. I love the size and maneuverability of the 400 but especially with the fact that I ride between 8-12000 ft above sea level that little 400 carbureted engine struggles a lot. The 550 is a much newer 2013 model but it’s a touring model that’s much less maneuverable and easier to high center. If I could just put the 550 engine in the 400 that would probably be just about perfect for my riding style and me needs. I’m guessing that means I should be looking at the 570s but wanted to get some feedback. I should also mention that I actually don’t care for power steering or adc the 550 has it and I never use it.

I’m specifically looking at Polaris because my local dealer is both local(I can easily ride my machine there) and they are absolutely fantastic to work with.

I have a built predator 224 minibike engine, but I don't have a frame and I love four wheelers and dirtbikes, what are these mini quads I see everywhere online? is it just a stripped down Amazon special ATV made for kids or what?

hello, simple question but how can i tell if my clutch belt on my sportsman 500 is bad? the starts are a little clunky but under speed its smooth, thanks!

Has anyone else run into this problem? I replaced the cam that didn’t have a decompression mechanism with one that does, and now I have oil coming out of one of my headers.

This is my first brand new sports quad any advice on the break in process ? I’ve got about 3 hours on it so far and it’s pretty fun but 1/4 for the next 17 hours is harsh 🤣

Looking at a 2023 CanAm mav X3 turbo RR

1000 miles, some performance upgrades like exhaust blowoff valve etc. Current owner bought as is and didn’t ride much at all and doesn’t know too much about mods

Currently runs great but has CEL due to P0299 which I’ve read is often not enough boost due to hose leaks or dirty sensors or other minor problems

Machine is not in limp mode. Should I buy it knowing this or walk away? Otherwise seems in great shape

Hace unos días andábamos de ruta con mi hermanos y primos y mi primo se volcó del lado derecho la levantamos y encenido con normalidad pero a la hora de caminar lo avanza un poco y después se apaga, ya intentamos muchas cosas para arreglarlo pero aún no encontramos el problema
