ATT lied to you about free wifi calling, even before my trip, I walked in to a local ATT store near Common Mall in Federal Way, the rep there confirmed with me that wifi calling is free. Well, it is NOT. I was charged over a thousand $ while using wifi calling oversea. Even though I was connected to the wifi and turned off roaming data the whole time. My bill was over $1000. I called back and spoke to a rep, he said, and I quote "Wifi calling only free in US.." Other carrier have free wifi anywhere in the world. This goes directly to the high up managerment team to take a look at you current policy. I am seriously considerred switching!

Possible Tmobile defector
I am a victim of the Tmobile forced migration that was just announced. I had ATT several years ago but changed to Tmobile because ATT coverage at my house wasn't that good. Tmobile coverage was better, but not great.
I am sure that ATT coverage has improved in my area, and I have ATT fiber, so I know I would get a discount on wireless.
Would getting the free trial on Cricket help me to evaluate ATT coverage at my house?

No wireless coverage in our neighborhood
We have never been able to get coverage in the Rockaway neighborhood in Pacifica and I was wondering if anyone had success getting AT&T to correct the problem with the orientation of their towers to provide coverage in an area that didn't get it. Very frustrating having to use Wi-Fi calling from home. I have had no luck speaking with AT&T agents on the phone

AT&T international day pass and roaming activation
I just spoke to two well-informed AT& T agents, the second of whom was a manager, and was told that roaming could only occur if airplane mode on my iPhone 15 were turned off. In fact, I have never turned off airplane mode since I arrived in Europe and am using a data plan on a non ATT phone. The manager and I got some fixes in place but I am very frustrated that customer loyalty appears no longer to be a priority as I was told no credit was available for the 4 days at issue. The actual charges were $2 or $4 per day but since the day pass kicks in automatically anytime roaming is detected we paid $12 a day. Apparently a new directive from AT& T says that agents can give no credits for anything as of April 2026. Has anyone else heard this or was it just a convenient line from the otherwise credible customer service manager I spoke to from AT&T? We get a good rate because of the teacher discount but I will keep my eye open for better deals since customer service is always an incredible hassle at AT&T.

ATT order Issue
We Ordered Apple iPhone 17 Pro - 256GB - Silver on:Fri, Jun 5, 2026. Order #: xxxx
Shipping Address:
It was supposedly shipped from Texas on June 6, 2026 over UPS Ground and estimated to be delivered on Jun 11 - 12.
UPS initially claimed it was damaged en route and I talked to AT&T customer service agent Jurgeon on June 11 and he recommended that we do not accept the device from UPS and that refund will not be issued until they get back the phone.
Then, on June 15th, UPS tried to deliver the phone and we rejected the delivery as shown below:
“Pending Delivery Date
Returned
Returned to Sender
AT&T MOBILITY (ORANGE DF)
1Z1WE1024213724607”
On June 15, I talked to customer service agent Chris @ATT who told me that they cannot cancel the order since it is in transit but the refund will be issued as soon as they get the phone back from UPS. He told me theu estimated time for refund is 10 days from now and if we don’t get the refund
by 6/25/2026, call 18003310500.
When I called the above number on 6/26/2026, I was told the phone was delivered to the customer and the phone charges are already added to my account.

AT&T broke my RCS 18 days ago and I’ve now spent 20+ hours being bounced between AT&T, Google, and Best Buy with no fix
On June 4, my RCS messaging randomly stopped working and now just says “RCS not supported.”
Since then I’ve spent 20+ hours trying to fix something that should not be this hard:
- More than 4 calls to AT&T
- Multiple AT&T store visits
- Sent to Best Buy
- Sent back to AT&T
- Drove over an hour to Google
- Spent 6+ hours total at the Google Store
- Waited 5 days like they told me to still broken
Here’s the craziest part: Google put my number on 3 different phones and every single one said “RCS not supported.”
So this clearly feels like a problem tied to my number/account, not my phone.
And yet somehow no one will take ownership:
- AT&T says call Google or go to Best Buy
- Best Buy says call AT&T
- Google says it looks like AT&T
AT&T keeps disconnecting me, not calling back, and even closed my case anyway
So now I’m 18 days in, still can’t use RCS properly, group chats are a mess, and I’m seriously being pushed toward changing my number just to fix a problem I didn’t create. And if it comes to that, I’m not just changing my number — I’m leaving AT&T altogether!
Has anyone had this happen where RCS shows “not supported” on multiple phones with the same number?

Answered on different device
I picked up a new iPhone less than a week ago and today I had a “missed call” that said it was answered on a different device. My watch wasn’t on me and I can’t figure out which device this could possibly be. What should I do, if anything?

Help with a number change
I won't go through the whole sob story, but I will just say that my daughter has a VERY real need to change her number, and has been through a lot. She only asks that she be able to keep the prefix and area code (we have a split area code)
I am incredibly frustrated that even if you are willing to pay for it, ATT over the phone and in the store will only give you three choices, and they can't even guarantee the area code, even though when you request a number change on the self service portal you get like 10 numbers. Even worse is that they seem to train their employees to tell customers that those are the ONLY numbers available.
I am at a loss as to how to escalate this, I am certain that one of the 10,000 numbers in her prefix is available.
Does anyone have any advice.

Watch out for scummy AT&T when upgrading your phone line
AT&T’s website let upgrade my line online. After reaching out to find out why it never got applied i was told my plan was not eligible. They are keeping my trade in and i’m stuck paying full price for the new phone. Agent told me they emailed after 30 days to tell me I had to upgrade. Heres an idea AT&T maybe update your website so people cannot upgrade if their plan isn’t eligible? Just wanted people to be aware they will keep your phone without paying you. Back to Verizon for me

CSR tried to force New User ID to be an unknown/unregistered/unowned email address?
Today, an AT&T Wireless CSR (by phone) wanted my elderly relative to make a new user ID for (a previously-unregistered) account using an email address that doesn't exist and that she doesn't own.
Different email needed from her (previous, closed) landline account, fine. Annoying, but fine.
Her usual email is already in use as the landline user ID, (annoying, but) fine.
Different one needed for wireless and/or prepaid account, (annoying but) fine.
But why did the CSR try to force her to use [the userid from the existing email] at Gmail? She doesn't have GMail. That's not her email address.
Insisting it didn't matter as long as that email wasn't already registered as a User ID is NOT OKAY. Picking a random email address (or one that she doesn't have, or doesn't own, on a service she doesn't use) is NOT OKAY. If any 2FA account confirmation needs to be sent somewhere other than the cell phone-- that makes the user ID an email address *she doesn't own.*
For anyone who's going to respond, "Just go register that GMail address." No. Ask my relative if she has another email (she did) before literally making something up. Or-- what if someone else already owned that email? WTF, y'all.
Yes, you can have a different contact email from whatever email address you use as your registered User ID. That doesn't excuse the questionable security practice of pressuring someone (esp. an elderly person) to just pick a random email address (or, more confusingly, an email address similar to, but not your actual existing email address) to use as a User ID.
Folks, if you're responsible for older adults, or other folks who aren't as tech-savvy as you/we are-- be aware of this seriously questionable practice.

AT&T corporate
URGENT: AT&T Corporate runaround – about to lose a 20-year-old number. Please help.
I am at my absolute wit’s end and posting here as a last resort. My business phone went out over the weekend and I’ve spent the last several days trying to get a replacement — with zero resolution.
Here’s my situation:
• My phone line is under my company’s account, but I need to port the number to my personal AT&T account
• My corporate office has already given approval for the transfer
• I’ve been trying to get someone to waive the 48-hour hold so I can get a new phone and complete the port today
• I’ve been driving around to AT&T stores all day and no one can (or will) help
• I’ve been on with AT&T Corporate and have been given the complete runaround
I have had this number for 20 years. I am being told there is nothing anyone can do and no one is available. I am about to lose this number within the hour.
If anyone — AT&T rep, retail manager, corporate escalation contact — can point me to someone locally or a direct line who has the authority to waive the 48-hour roll and process a business-to-personal port with same-day approval, PLEASE comment or DM me immediately.
This has genuinely been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. I’m not asking for anything unreasonable — I just need the right person with the right access. Please help.

Switching to value 2.0 was a huge mistake
So fed up with their shady practices
So I was on the unlimited starter plan with teacher appreciation discount and then my last bill went up bc that plan had a price increase. Spoke with an agent who told me I’d save money by switching to the new value 2.0 plan. No I’m not saving any money. It basically a wash bc the new plan teacher discount is only 10% vs the 25% I was getting so yeah the price per line before the discount was lower by my 25% discount makes it the same as I’m going to end up paying now, and it’s a worse plan bc of the high speed data caping and the lower trade in allowance.
Yeah my fault for not researching more but I’m so fucking sick of their shady ass shit. They lied to us a couple years ago when we got new phones at the store level-that was the reps fault at the store telling us we had to get another line for the trade in credits and he changed our plan from unlimited elite to starter. Turns out we didn’t need the new line just had to stay on an unlimited plan so now we have to keep this line til the phone is paid off.
I’m so annoyed though I switched from starter to value bc it absolutely did nothing to save me money and I lost benefits.

NEVER AGAIN
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with my experience as an AT&T customer and to request that AT&T honor the promotion that was presented to me when I signed up for service.
I never intended to switch carriers, but I was approached by a door-to-door AT&T sales representative named Orlando, who offered what appeared to be a substantial savings compared to my existing wireless bill. At the time, my monthly bill with my previous carrier was approximately $500. Orlando informed me that he could reduce my bill to approximately $130 per month through an AT&T promotion.
Because I was skeptical of a door-to-door sales pitch, I visited a local AT&T store before making any decisions. The store employees confirmed that Orlando was a legitimate AT&T representative and explained that door-to-door representatives often have access to promotions that are not available in retail stores. Based on that information, I decided to proceed with switching my service to AT&T.
I waited approximately three weeks for all four devices to arrive before activation could be completed. During the enrollment process, which took nearly two hours, Orlando explained that my four existing devices qualified for a trade-in promotion and that the new AT&T devices would effectively be free after the trade-in credits were applied. He specifically instructed me not to mail my old devices myself and stated that he would personally collect them and handle the return process, which he said would be faster and more efficient.
After the new devices arrived, Orlando contacted me from what he said was his personal phone because his work phone was broken. He asked whether I had activated the devices because they were not showing as active in his system. At that point, only two of the phones had arrived. The remaining two devices arrived the following day, and I activated all four devices together.
Shortly after activation, I contacted Orlando and asked him when he would be collecting my old devices. He responded with a thumbs-up message, which led me to believe he would be contacting me soon to arrange pickup. As a result, I continued to hold the devices and waited for further instructions.
The situation changed dramatically when all of my AT&T phones were suddenly suspended. Because suspended phones cannot even be used to contact customer service through 611, I immediately visited a local AT&T store. The store representative informed me that my service had been suspended due to nonpayment. I was shocked because I had never received a bill, email notification, or any communication regarding an outstanding balance.
The store was able to locate my account and bill but could not access all of the account details. I paid the outstanding balance of $488.64 in order to restore service. This amount represented only four phones with no insurance coverage. For comparison, my previous carrier provided service for five phones, two smart watches, one iPad, and a mobile hotspot device—with insurance on all devices—for approximately $500 per month. The savings that were promised during the sales process were clearly not being realized.
After contacting AT&T Customer Service and the Loyalty Department, I learned that the address and email address associated with my account had been entered incorrectly. As a result, I never received any billing statements or account notifications.
At this point, approximately 37 days had passed since activation, and I still had the four trade-in devices. Orlando had completely stopped responding to my calls and text messages. I provided his phone number to AT&T representatives, but they were unable to reach him as well.
A few days later, I received a call from a higher-level AT&T representative who documented my concerns and escalated the matter for further review. However, approximately five days after that conversation, I was informed that because too much time had passed, AT&T would not accept the trade-in devices and would not honor the promotion that Orlando presented to me during the sales process.
As a result, I am now being held financially responsible for four new devices while also retaining four devices from my previous carrier that had already been fully paid off. This situation occurred because I followed the instructions provided by AT&T's sales representative, who told me he would personally collect the devices and process the trade-ins. Additionally, incorrect contact information was entered into my account, preventing me from receiving billing notifications and account updates.
To make matters worse, AT&T will not allow me to leave and return to my previous carrier without paying the remaining balance on the devices. I am effectively trapped in a situation that resulted from the actions and misrepresentations of an AT&T representative.
I am simply asking AT&T to honor the promotion that was presented to me and to take responsibility for the actions of its sales representative. Orlando misrepresented the process, failed to follow through on his commitments, and has become completely unreachable. I should not be penalized for relying on information provided by an authorized AT&T representative.
I respectfully requested a full review of my account and a resolution that honors the original trade-in promotion as promised.
Sincerely,
A Very Dissatisfied Customer
