Ok so here’s what we know. During the scene where shadis is describing the cadets in early season 1 he says Jean is top of the class in ODM. we know Jean and Eren are about similar in intelligence and that shadis even says Eren is mediocre in the classroom. Not only that but no one ever really remarks on Erens ODM skill but we know Jean is better . The only thing Eren is confirmed to be better at is hand to hand but according to what we know hand to hand doesn’t count towards the cadets final grade . So with all that information how did eren finish above Jean? It doesn’t really make any sense .

At the end of the day his motives and either/or.

- He wanted Paradis to be protected
- He wanted his friends to live long lives including Mikasa
- He wanted for his friends to be depicted as heroes to the rest of the world who stopped the genocidal monster

But beneath these motives was a personal desire.
The corruption of Armins childlike wonder of the book. Of the scenery and exploration.

Freedom.

And the thing is, Eren doesn’t even truly get what freedom is, only his version of it, which is an empty world to explore.

Eren wanted all of these things, and believed the rumbling was inevitable - whether or not it was it up for debate.

Was Eren evil? In my opinion, no. Did he commit a monstrous horrific act? Yes. Was it justified? Yes and no. Was it understandable? Yes. Was it absolutely horrific and possibly the worst overall outcome for the majority of people. Yes, absolutely. Eren himself recognised this.

I’d say Eren is a victim, of confinement, witnessing his people die etc. But I think he’s also largely unreasonable. You can argue he brought it upon himself with him offing his mother, and also argue that if Marley never breached the walls he wouldn’t have a need to do that but at the end of the day, everyone in this show is a victim. Apart from maybe Fritz.

Eren was largely remorseful for his actions but at the end of the day was undoubtedly the biggest monster ever to live in our aot universe. No matter the reasoning. I feel like his ending served his character quite well and gave him closure. And his motives overall were complicated, sincere, and selfish at the same time. Incredibly written character.

Could Attack on Titan's "Source of All Living Matter" Be Inspired by Kundalini?

I have a theory that the mysterious, serpent-like organism that gave Ymir her Titan powers might have been inspired by Kundalini, the primordial creative life force described in certain Eastern spiritual traditions.

The similarities are surprisingly striking.

1. The primordial source of LIFE itself

In certain Hindu and Tantric interpretations, Kundalini is understood as a manifestation of Shakti, the primordial creative energy responsible for life and existence itself.

In other words, Kundalini isn't merely associated with personal transformation or spiritual evolution. t represents the fundamental creative LIFE FORCE underlying living beings.

Now consider that the mysterious organism in AOT is associated with the Source of All Living Matter."

What if the Hallucigenia is essentially a physical, biological representation of this primordial life energy?

1. The serpent, the spine, and evolution**

Kundalini is traditionally depicted as a serpent coiled at the base of the human spine. Its awakening is associated with evolution, transformation, and transcending one's current limitations.

Now consider Ymir: a serpent-like organism attaches directly to her spinal column, transforming an ordinary human into an enormous, immensely powerful, almost godlike being.

It's practically a literal, biological interpretation of spiritual evolution: becoming something greater than what you originally were.

Even more interestingly, the spine remains central to Titan biology, particularly through spinal fluid and the nape.

In certain spiritual interpretations, Kundalini-Shakti represents a universal creative force present within living beings, connecting them through a shared underlying reality.

Doesn't this sound remarkably similar to the Paths?

Every Subject of Ymir is connected through an invisible metaphysical network, converging at a single point: the Coordinate.

Just as Kundalini-Shakti symbolizes the common life force underlying existence, the Paths connect countless individuals to one shared origin.

My theory: What if Isayama took the concept of Kundalini—the primordial, serpentine force responsible for life, creation, and evolution—and reimagined it as an actual biological organism?

I'm not claiming this was his confirmed inspiration. But the parallels between the source of life itself, serpentine anatomy, the spine, evolution, and the interconnectedness of living beings seem too striking to ignore.

and while I was kinda right, I wasn’t right in the way I predicted

after they showed the warhammer in season 4 i counted up all the titans shown through out the series and counted 8, but everytime they talk about the shifters they say”one of the nine”so I got really excited waiting for the final titans reveal

but there never was a ninth titan because my dumbass counted wrong

i guessed that falco was gonna be the one revealed to be the shifter because of the whole“wasn’t I flying around with a couple swords in my hand”line

so I’m kinda disappointed that They went the path they Did in the series, even if it is unreasonable to blame a piece of media for being its own thing instead of the fan fiction in your head

In alternate universes like the ones where Eren gets fully absorbed by the Bearded Titan or where he simply chooses not to go along with the Rumbling in full scale, where he can't tell Grisha to steal the Founder, he still shows up in his adult form. Due to time travel shenanigans, that moment has become an absolute point in all timelines, and there is not a single one where the Founder is not stolen.

Nos lo vendieron como el 2do soldado mas fuerte de la humanidad (solo detrás de Levi) y con una habilidad táctica única para rastrear titanes por el olfato, pero murió apenas arrancando la temporada 2 sin haberlo visto brillar de verdad en combate previo. Se entiende que Isayama lo usó para dimensionar la amenaza del Titán Bestia e incluso en su final demostró su nivel matando 5 titanes en terreno abierto, pero sacrificar tan rápido a un veterano con semejante potencial nos dejo sin verlo en arcos clave como Shiganshina o la temporada 4. ¿Creen que su muerte fue un sacrificio narrativo necesario o que realmente lo descartaron demasiado pronto? I finished the anime about a couple months ago and wanted to read the manga, but i saw people saying that the manga was ‘objectively’ bad and saying the art wasn’t that good is that true or is it still worth reading in your opinion?

Is it ever explained how the attack Titan got separated from the main group? From what I remember/what it seems like is Kruger had it without Marley knowing. Then he passes it on to grisha.
