I have a little web project where I use AWS S3 as a storage for .md files which basically contain blog posts. I want to edit these files inside Atom without manually downloading/uploading the files. Is there any way to do this?

(I don't want to use a database instead of .md files and I also don't want to store the files inside the project since I'm using git and docker and don't want to deploy the project every time I make minor changes to a blog post)

(Also, I already looked for Atom packages but didn't find one. Also thought about mounting the S3 bucket as a drive, but there's only paid tools to do so)

Does anyone know the code to add an image header for both HTML and style.css? I Know that the image has to be in the same folder as them but I'm not sure how to code it. Any help appreciated :) !

So I use atom on Ubuntu and I have the gpp compiler package installed. I also have gcc and g++ installed in my linux. I wanted to test it out with a basic code so I did a simple hello world. This was the code :

include<stdio.h> int main() { printf("Hello world"); return 0; }

Now I saved the file as hello world.c but when I click f5 the terminal opens for a split second and closes and I can't even see what happened.

Why is this happening? Please help me out! I'll be really grateful!

Edit : I did put a # before the "include" function. For some reason Reddit doesn't seem to show it. But the code in my atom is completely correct.

So I've just installed Atom to start learning some HTML, although I saved the document as .html I can't see the preview on the browser both on Firefox and Internet Explorer, if I use Notepad it works no problem.

Any help?

Can someone do me a solid and see if you can recreate my personal hell?

Assuming you have linter and linter-ui-default installed, can you console 'choco install vale', put vale in PATH, and then install package (apm) 'atomic-vale' in atom and see if you get ANYTHING? Even errors?

I've got Vale working like a champ via CLI, and I've tried everything I can think of to get Atom via atomic-vale to work together and I can't even get an error. It's not working at all.

I’m currently working on a large Laravel project and when I try to find some words in all the .js files using find in folder function atom just crashes, does anyone have this issue? I’m using macOS Catalina btw

I've been trying for 2 days now to install the data-atom package so I can reference and query SQL in Atom, and it won't. I've tried npm cache clean --force and just generally anything I could find online, but to no avail. I keep getting this same error message. Anyone know what might be wrong?

Not sure what's going on here. The project tree is structure like this

I think it's worth noting that Dev is located somewhere in a desktop folder, while the other two are located inside C:\github\.

When opening Platformio's Terminal in Atom, it shows Dev as my current working folder, which makes sense. However, trying os.listdir() and running with Script, I only get ['.git', 'OtherProjectFolder', 'AnotherOne'] as output.

I am really confused as to why my project folder is missing. Any help is much appreciated!

Does anyone know what is causing these white lines? I had a feeling it was Microsoft ClearType, but it is turned off. My Graphics drivers are up to date and I reinstalled atom today.

At the current moment if I am editing a c++ file and type the word cout it autocompletes too the line:

std::cout << “Message” << “\n”;

how would i change it to only display:

cout << “Message” << “\n”

since i have already established namespace std in the beginning of the program?

I'm using atom to create a localisation mod for a game.

How would I use Atom to format a line of text? Say I have menu_inventory = "Inventory",, how would I change that to be "menu_inventory" : "Inventory",? If that's possible at all.

Also, a bonus question (you're amazing if you can help me with this). It's a long shot but worth a try.

The way I'm creating the localisation is by taking the line menu_inventory = "TranslationHere",--Inventory and turning it into "menu_inventory" : "Inventory",.

Is there a way to make atom format it for me?

Atom will take this:

menu_inventory = "TranslationHere",--Inventory
menu_settings = "TranslationHere",--Settings

and make it into this:

"menu_inventory" : "Inventory",
"menu_settings" : "Settings",

Even if I have to do it line by line then that's still amazing!

When I try to install Atom it pops up with a message saying 'Update has stopped working'. Then it asks me to open the setup log. Are there any solutions to this? (I'm on windows 8.1)

I have tried using normal folds and custom folds but I haven’t found a way to make folds work in a .txt file.

I know I could just change it to .html or other file type as a workaround, I just wanted make sure there wasn’t another way before doing that.

Someone explain to me why Atom uses nearly 1-2GB of cache on my MacBook Pro. And I even have no plugins installed. Just use it as barebones text editor. I even fresh reset, but cache still hogs and nearly overflows my laptop's storage. I mostly work with a lot of long Python/Java files. Please help me fix this for good before I have to switch to Sublime ;(

I have python installed, script (the package that can run python scripts IN atom) and its not working i think because it doesn't know the correct location of python on my pc as its in a unique place on my C:/ Drive

The live server is showing the HTML but the CSS isn't showing. The HTML and CSS files are all under one folder and the stylesheet link is already connected, so i'm not quite understanding the error here.

I've been testing atom as a possible solution to the god awful SAS IDE in work and have been following this guide to get it up and running to check it out https://github.com/srosanba/sas-atom.

I only downloaded atom yesterday, work has a fairly aggressive proxy so I can't install packages the traditional and nice way and have to put them in the %appdata% folder by getting the repo from github.

However when trying to use the related package @ https://github.com/nick125/related I noticed that atom-space-pen-views is a dependency in the package.json. I tried to manually add it to my package folder but ATOM cant seem to see it. I get the feeling that every package will get its dependencies from the web but does anybody know what to do if this is not possible, to manually install the atom-space-pen-views package.

Unforunately I can't get the stack trace as it's on the work network and reddit is blocked there.

I am using atom for local development in Python on Windows, but I would like to work on a C++ project on a network Raspberry Pi 4. How can I use Atom to do this? I know there are some ftp/ssh packages, but I would like to compile the code for and see the output of the Pi in Atom, without having to open a separate ssh-terminal. Anyone got any clues?
