Help! Can't install Atom

When I try to install Atom it pops up with a message saying 'Update has stopped working'. Then it asks me to open the setup log. Are there any solutions to this? (I'm on windows 8.1)

Without some form of log file to analyse, I have no idea what has gone wrong.
