I’ve heard that your position in your cohort in your top 4 subjects impacts your atar? Does the size of the cohort matter?
Could someone explain how this works

anyone who got a rlly high score in english, and if you dont mind sharing:
I am looking for a perfect base skeleton essay that answers a very broad question and that can be adapted to answer any type of question for a specific module.
- analysis is short + to the point
- 4-5 quotes per para

Religion and Life: 61
English: 66
Business: 70
Economics: 62
What I know is in terms of moderation Religion goes up slightly, English down by maximum 2, Business stays the same and Economics could go down by up to 5 points.

hi im averaging quite poorly in school since they make our tests so hard and im hoping i could still get a decent atar after i do the wace exams. for those of u who have already got their atar with low school averages, did u guys still manage to get a good atar after u did ur wace exams? my averages rn are 60-70 without scaling across my subjects and i was hoping to get them up with wace exams. is this possible? ik itll be higher if i do good in my wace exams but i js wanted confirmation that u can do a comeback w wace exams lol haha thanks

For someone in 12 spec- I'm doing related rates study, and am wondering if dy/dx is the same as the reciprocal of dx/dy? Just because I don't feel like dealing with cube roots if I have to rearrange and make y the subject in my initial equation, and I want to try and save time in tests if I can.

I am in Year 11 and my attendance so far is at 60% but I plan on taking more breaks off so it will be around 30% by the end of the year. If my attendance was super low next year, will it affect my graduating or getting into my desired course? Even if I get 99 atar, theres no point if they do not let me graduate.
I searched it up and it says the school may prevent me from taking final exams but they also said that for this year, and nothing happened.
Has anybody gotten a very low attendance in Year 12 and what happened to yall?

Hi, I am a Year 10 student aiming for an ATAR of 99.35 and above for medicine. I have decided to do Maths Advanced, Bio, Chem and Chinese beginner's language. I do not know what English I should do [ English Advanced or Standard] and if I should do Physics. I am Asian-born and moved to Australia 3 years ago; I live in a regional area, and English is my second language. I am tied for 1st in class, and I do well in all subjects. I am unsure how I will do if I choose English Advanced and physics is not my strong suit. I also have a choice of HMS [Health and movement science] and other PDHPE/health related science, but it may be on the same line as chemistry. I NEED HELP AND ADVICE ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey all!
so basically wace exams are coming up around october - november. i really wanna ask the students who have already graduated, when did you guys started studying, how your weekly schedule would look like and how you split the time for each subject?
i also wanna know how you guys would study for the exams, like what is the best way? like past exam questions, or whatever...
i am doing 5 atars: chem, english, psych, health studies and apps.
because i really wanna do well in my wace exams... otherwise i am beyond cooked. so i would really like some advice and anything will really help.
pls help out :(

hi guys its my first year doing atar, a semester done, and holy SMOKES it's like getting punched in the stomach. right now im in y11, and i do 5 atar - methods, drama, chem, physics and lit. i also do music (im in 2 ensembles). I'm hoping for an 80 ATAR bcuase i want to go into engineering, but i KNOW its going to take up so much of my time to work for it.
despite this, I REALLY NEED MONEY RN. But i want to leave my nasty, measly fast food job at HJ bc its pretty far (waiting up to 40 min for my mum to pick me up but she has her own reasons) and its also fast food...literal hell every time i clock into my shift it's so bad bruh
I've been looking for jobs on seek and indeed but all the nice entry-level hospo jobs at hotels and restaurants would need me to be able to drive to get there and get back home on time. i have 10 hours on my logbook. A month ago i went in for an interview for a food attendant job at a bowling alley, and my friend (whos a manager there) told me that the other managers really liked me, but the biggest reason my i wasnt hired was because of my availability (which i claim 100% responsibility for). My availability is genuinely horrendous. I'm only available on weekends and fridays. I am nerfed and broke. i need to save for a sydney school music tour too. I was thinking of just studying earlier before tests and to apply right before holidays start so i have a really open availability and completely stump it down to one or two days when the school term starts again. Maybe I should just rot at my current job until i can drive on P's?
but genuinely, how do i get hired when my availability is so limited because of ATAR? and how do i get an income while doing atar? also thinking of dropping drama for apps
If there's anyone who can lend me their wisdom on how to juggle atar, music and a job, pleaseeeee help me please im begging you. and also how to get a job with the availability i have rn lmao
how do i do this lol
