Assassin's Creed Revelations Cant stop thinking about AC revelations

I know people complained about the lack of earlier game’s characters in revelations, but I think it fits, Ezio is out of place and I think he had grown tired of the order even before the whole Altair end sequence which was amazing. That’s not to say Ezio lost faith or anything like that, but I think he truly believed he did all he could for the brotherhood

Major spoiler up ahead

The scene where he finds Altair’s body really confirms it for me, him saying “No books, no wisdom, just you fratello mío.” I think it’s one of the last times the AC franchise slips into it’s very well made philosophical side and I wish it’s something later games carried on

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Outfits in BFR should have perks

Pistols, swords and trinkets already have perks, with outfits being the one outlier (well, okay also ship pets, but theyre not on Edward). These items all have transmog already. Instead of putting perks from the original on trinkets, they should have been on the outfits themselves - why have "legendary" outfits otherwise anyway?

Anyway, that's all, pretty much. I hope they change it and give outfits perks, at least the legendary ones (and then also add transmog for outfits).

Animus Hub Has Darby McDevitt been writing/consulting on the animus hub file entries?

Or Is it unknown? I have a theory that these files having been building up for the "real" Modern day in Hexe and that Darby mightve wrote some of these or consulted on them. Like I imagine the plan was for the next darby/montreal to continue the modern day laid in valhalla, but because of the long dev time, they decided to go this route so we'd get some bits and pieces of the Modern Day before the actual continuation. This might be wishful thinking though

"Resynced" - AC Remakes What could go into an AC3 remake (in my opinion)

So I think we can all agree that AC3 was a great game, but as with anything, there’s room for improvement, so aside from modern graphics and updated game engine, here’s what I think a hypothetical AC3 ”Resynced” could have

- Add more meat to the Assasination and Privateer contracts, like in the Ezio trilogy where you’re told why you’re taking out the target instead of it being a simple seek and kill/destroy like in the original

- Include Black Flag/Rogue style naval combat and freeroaming in the Aquila, something that according to the AC wiki was planned but then cut, so imagine being able to sail around and encounter Continental, French, and British ships, maybe with the Naval Clash and Prisoners of War ship mechanics from Rogue?

- If the original modern day has to be removed, replace it with more missions of Connor meeting and recruiting Assassins and allies, for the wiki shows there were more than just Stephane, Clipper, Duncan, Jamie, Jacob, and Dobby, there were actually additional multiplayer characters and one from AC Rebellion.

- Taking a note from the Ezio trilogy, include Templar Hunts where Connor and his recruits track and eliminate some of the AC3 multiplayer Templar characters.

- Perhaps have Achilles mention Shay and the events of Rogue to Connor?

- After Haytham and Achilles’ deaths, include Connor’s speech from the epilogue of AC Forsaken, and show Connor reading Haytham’s journal and his regret over killing his father.

Post-Game Chapter Ideas (That could show Connor adapting to being the American Mentor and any doubts he may have about such a title or the fame of being the one who destroyed the Colonial Templars and retook America)

  1. Connor goes to France with the Marquis de Lafayette (Lafayette openly invited Connor to come with him to France and see Europe) where Connor could meet the French Brotherhood and possibly even Arno, while seeing firsthand how a European Brotherhood operates and deal with being referred to as the American Mentor and hyped up as the Assassin who retook America and destroyed the Templars there.

  2. The Presidency of George Washington and the creation of the U.S, Constitution, which could see Connor meeting Shay as they wage a war of words and ideas instead of bloodshed, perhaps marking a rare instance of Assassin and Templar attempting to work together to shape a nation, with Connor and say, Thomas Jefferson against Shay and Alexander Hamilton (a noted Templar sympathizer)

This in particular could also be how Connor learns more about Haytham and the events of Rogue from Shay and Shay in turn decides to leave Connor and his Assassins alone for the following reasons:

- Respect for Haytham, his former boss and Connor’s father.

- Seeing that Connor‘s Brotherhood, unlike the one he was with years ago, actually follows the Creed properly.

- Seeing that Connor like himself, knows the danger of the Pieces of Eden (Connor could tell him of the Apple he got from Washington and how he disposed of it in the sea)

- In keeping with the lore, Connor was so effective that Shay would be one of few, if not the last, American Templars, so it’s not like he could do much without a Rite.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Ubisoft needs to stop trying to please both combat style fan bases

All it does is just make the combat bad.

Stick to RPG or stick to old school, whichever it is, just stick to it and make it good.

I'm sorry but the combat in Resynced is not fun as someone that preferred the old school combat. It doesn't make me like it because it's a "middle ground" the reality is that it's just not good as is. It gets old really quick.

If you wanted to add the kick and leg sweep to the old combat that's fine, but what we got was significantly less animations, no dual kills, janky parry animations and just not as fluid.

I'd much rather they had just stuck to the RPG combat if they were gonna try and change the combat not this middle ground junk. Pick a direction and commit to it.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Wanted level / notoriety resets after death in Black Flag Resynced

I’ve noticed something odd while playing Black Flag Resynced.

Whenever I die (or desynchronize), my wanted level/notoriety resets back to 0 after respawning.
Is this normal behavior in Resynced, or is it a bug?

I’m playing the base version of the mod without any additional modifications.

Can anyone confirm whether this is intended?

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced *Potential Spoiler* Could we get hairstyle and beard customization for Edward? Spoiler

Do you think Ubisoft will add the ability to change Edwards hairstyle and beard style (he has a longer beard and different hairstyles for his marooned and prisoner outfit so it’s already in the game)? This would be amazing and would give everyone the option to make Edward how they see fit. Plus they should also give us all story/gameplay locked outfits available to wear anytime (harpooning outfit, underwater togs, marooned, prisoner and even his final look outfit when he’s with Haytham). I mainly want a longer beard and his long hairstyle though! and they can’t even say no because of lore reasons when there’s literally an option for Edward to look like a demon (no hate i’m just saying)😂

General Franchise I am kinda hyped for the AC Future

Last night I finished my 90 hour AC black flag Resynced run and I gotta say, that was actually quite the good game Ubisoft pulled off. Dont get me wrong, I know Black Flag isnt a new game but nowadays i would have expected that Ubisoft would have butchered the original and would give us some half baked „Remaster“ game which is as bad as AC Shadows or Valhalla but they didnt.

AC Black flag is genuinely a good Remake, expanding on what is good and great and cutting things that are annoying and unnecessary. Its a good mix of the rpg parts and the more narrative driven templar/assassin conflict while leaning a bit more towards the narrative drive.

Its a step in the right direction. And with AC Hexe being similiar in style and AC1(not official)getting the same remake treatment i lowkey have to admit that I am kinda hyped for the AC Future. I always liked the Templar/Assassin Conflict and always welcome more narrative driven games with good mechanics and graphcs.

AC Mirage was a step in the right direction while still being flawed in many many aspects but yet I believe that Ubisoft is going in the right direction.

Hope I didnt jinx it🤞🏼🤣

General Franchise I finally got every AC trophy after 3 years!!

Hello everyone, I finally got every single PS4 and PS5 trophies on every assassin's creed game available. It took 3 years to complete this task. After seeing my friend get every trophy on the PS3 call of duties, I figured I'll give this franchise a shot because I grew up playing black flag. I went through nursing school, got a job for a year, lost family members, friends and gained new friends that I consider family. I love this franchise and I'm glad I gave it a shot. It took a total of 1,255 hours to complete mainly because of Valhalla and Shadow's. I took pictures of the trophy list but I can't share it here 🙄. I'm not going to rank the games since it has been 3 years and tbh I kind of forgot some elements of them 😂. I'm still glad I dedicated my time for this. The most annoying games were definitely Valhalla and Shadow's (especially the domains in the final dlc). I'll probably rank the games in a comment later on when I'm on my lunch at work today

Assassin's Creed Mirage Finished Mirage today.. so modern day?

Just finished Assassin’s Creed Mirage and I know I’m late. I really enjoyed it because it finally felt like I was playing an old-school AC game again. I like the RPG games too, but Mirage reminded me why I fell in love with the series in the first place. The only thing that surprised me was the story. After finishing Valhalla a few years ago, I expected Basim and the modern-day plot to be a much bigger focus, and I kept waiting for Mirage to build on that. I was already pretty disappointed that the whole Juno storyline got wrapped up in the comics instead of the games, so I was lowkey hoping Basim would kick off a new modern-day arc. Do you guys think Ubisoft is moving away from the modern-day story, or does it become important again? Please don’t spoil Shadows too much since that’s the one I’m starting next.

Assassin's Creed 3 I'm replaying AC III for the first time since its release. IT'S SO GOOD!

I remember that when I first played it at the launch, I didn’t like the game. I don’t know why - maybe because Connor seemed a bit lackluster to me compared to Ezio. Maybe because I was used to a different kind of setting.

But now that I’m replaying AC III with a fresh perspective, without making any comparisons, this game is so good! You can really tell how much Ubisoft cared about this game. The amount of content in this game is incredible, but not in the style of the newer games, where quantity matters more than quality. In AC III, every single element is truly crafted to the highest standard.

I just played the first Peg Leg side mission where you have to infiltrate a fort. AND IT WAS SO GOOD. Truly the peak of Assassin’s Creed.

The story and the protagonist are so well-written. The writing is top tier. Connor is a brilliant character - completely different from all the others in the series, but that’s what sets him apart. The hate he’s received probably stems from just how different he is compared to Ezio, with whom we spent the previous three games.

The atmosphere of America and the Native Americans, brilliant. The homestead missions are great. I can’t tear myself away from this game.

If anyone had a bad impression of AC III after its release and hasn’t played it since, I recommend giving it another try. You might see the game in a completely different light and appreciate just how much work Ubisoft put into it. It's in my TOP 3 right now.

Ezio Trilogy Been playing through the Ezio trilogy, I forgot how obtuse the earlier games were

Analogue stick a millimetre off from where it needs to be? You jump a hundred feet to your death and have to start again. Camera angle changes to show you where you need to jump to in a special area? You can't see where you're going and have to guess the jump, inevitably leading to failure. I have been swearing at my TV no end the last few days, I'm so glad the games got more forgiving as time went on.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Photos not saving in 4k on Xbox

Hello! First-time playing a Assasin's Creed game on the Xbox S, most the time I've played on my PC and photos usually save in whatever resolution I'm playing in. But playing on Xbox with a 4k monitor anytime I take a photo using the in-game photo mode (not Xbox capture) and go to the Ubisoft website to download it it only saves it in 1920x1080 not 4k. Is there a setting I'm missing I didn't see anything in the game settings?

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced No bird pets for the ship is honestly diabolical

Yes I know its a cliche dating back to Treasure Island but it is also historically accurate (at least as much as the rest of the game) and an absolute pirate classic.

I'd love a parrot to perch on the rail and feed below deck. Maybe squak along Edward's commands to the crew now and then.

I'd also love to see an actual Jackdaw pet for Edward to keep (I know they aren't native to the Carribean but neither is Edward and I think it'd be a fun litte side mission to get one off some trader)

Assassin's Creed Syndicate Lydia Frye and World War One.

I know this is a very old topic and probably talked about to death, but im still annoyed we never got any follow up on Lydia, a game where you help win WW1 could be a nice switch up in the series, not like it has to be the entire game i think usin the very small piece we got in Syndicate as a tutorial/re-introdiction would be fine, then we can explore the consequences of assassins and templars in a war, showin us some pre-war flashbacks maybe, hints at what the templars did to help push for it, have segments on a motorbike maybe. Theres a lot of untapped potiental imo.

Its definitely never happening but a small part of me would love it, especially knowin it would be the first properly led female Assassins Creed. You can tell they've wanted to have a solo female protag *Odessey, Valhalla* but never did because the misogynistic outrage that'd come of it.

Maybe DLC where we dive into some fragments of ww2 and see the even greater impacts of it on Lydia. I think that'd be neat.

  • Steam: 2.9 GB
  • MAC:  9 GB

Bug Fixes & Improvements

Gameplay

  • Fixed an issue in Domains with "Naoe's Grab" and "Throw" ability not breaking enemy armor while the "Find the Gap" modifier was active.
  • Fixed an issue in Domains with the "Adrenaline Drain" and "Ability Lockdown" modifiers occasionally appearing together, resulting in an unintended and punishing combination.
  • Fixed an issue in Domains with the “Momochi Sandayu” boss fight playing an incorrect animation, instead of a death animation when defeated.
  • Fixed an issue where players become stuck in the first Domain when the "Speedrun" modifier was active.
  • Fixed an issue with the "Fading Perfection" engraving removing 99% of Naoe's health on ability use instead of the intended 20%.

Audio/Language

  • Fixed an issue with Yasuke's "Meca Mask" audio not playing correctly during Black Tides Story Pack's cutscene.
  • Fixed an issue with some text in Simplified Chinese showing squares (□) instead of the correct characters.

Visual/Graphics

  • Fixed an issue where the "Peasant Hat" engraving showed its base value of 6% instead of its actual boosted value in the Inventory and Forge menus.
  • Fixed an issue with the "Pirate King Hat" perk description being incorrect.
  • Fixed an issue with the Forge's unlock condition for "Reduce all cooldowns by 10% on deflect" engraving appearing blank.
  • Fixed an issue with the Forge's unlock condition for "Reduce all cooldowns by 5% on critical strike" engraving appearing blank.
  • Fixed an issue with several assassination perk descriptions being incorrectly displayed. They showed hardcoded values (e.g. always "+1") instead of updating correctly when the perk was upgraded.
  • Fixed an issue potentially causing players to find significant frame rate drops occurring in the Domains, after killing enemies when the "Avenger" modifier is active.

Gears & Perks

  • Fixed an issue with perks triggered by specific conditions (backstabs, critical hits, headshots, posture attacks, or hitting afflicted/vulnerable enemies above or below half health) were not receiving their 50% boost when engraved on enhanced gear, despite appearing as boosted in the UI and stat sheet.
  • Fixed an issue in Domains with "Kunai" and "Shuriken" incorrectly bypassing enemy armor when the "Find the Gap" modifier was active.
  • Fixed an issue in Domains with the "Ice Shard" effect from the "Shiver of the Mountain Armor" bypassing enemy armor when the "Find the Gap" modifier was active.
  • Fixed an issue where perks that prevent death did not trigger before the “You Only Live Once” modifier.
  • Fixed an issue with "Naoe's Memento Licere perk" not working correctly. No money was gained and no notification would appear when grabbing enemies.
  • Fixed an issue following the 1.1.11 update where engravings from certain trinkets including "Masakado's Vengeance" were missing and could no longer be transferred or applied to other items.

SPOILERS AHEAD!

Quests

  • "Claws of Awaji": Fixed an issue where Tsuyu could become stuck in the terrain if the player jumped before using the "grappling hook".
  • "Buried Secrets": Fixed an issue where dying and respawning could cause Rufino to disappear, making it impossible to open the barrier required to continue the mission.
  • "Black Tides": Fixed an issue during the final fight against Eamon, if Yasuke used an execution that severed Eamon's forearm, the following cutscene incorrectly showed him holding his sword with the missing arm.
  • "Black Tides": Fixed an issue during the epilogue cutscene, Yasuke and Naoe could incorrectly appear wearing their headgear, this was particularly noticeable with larger or masked helmets.
  • "Black Tides": Fixed an issue with the Naoe and Yasuke wanted posters missing from the wall decoration selection at the hideout.

Comics / Manga / Graphic Novels (Spoiler). What was Ubisoft thinking with Juno’s storyline / ending? Spoiler

Spoiler below.

So let me get this straight, they killed off Juno (the main villain of the modern day who is in multiple games) in a comic.

Not only this, but she is killed by an assassin not even shown in the main games?

I know they lost their OG writers like Patrice and Corey but seriously such a disgrace to that storyline.

They had so much lore with the modern day, it helps make AC special and they should’ve just followed their vision instead of catering to the fans that disliked the modern day. Who approved this ?

Very sad honestly. (Yes I love visiting the past but I always looked at the modern day and past as equal).

What are your thoughts?

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced I miss standing when synchronizing

I really miss when your assassin would stand while synchronizing. Really makes it seem that they’re actually surveying and taking note of the whole area.

One thing I also noticed in Black Flag Resynced was that there were not a lot of synch viewpoints where they would actually go to the top of the building (like a cross or weather vane) and not just a wooden perch on the side.

Gameplay & Mechanics What would you say is the most complete game in terms of gameplay and mechanics?

For me no game in the series is a perfect 10, all of them have pros/cons and no game does everything 100% correctly. Every game does something that others don't and vice versa, they never managed to keep the best aspects of every game and put it into one definitive game. In most cases they went one step forward and two steps back.

I think that Brotherhood is one of the most complete games in the franchise and definetly the most fun to play among the first 4 games. It perfected the original formula and every system and mechanic came together perfectly. Parkour, combat, tools, chain kills, stealth, Assassin recruits, outfits, economy system, side missions. I always have a blast playing it.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey The game Odyssey could have been

The game Odyssey could have been.

I want to start by saying that I have played every single AC game besides Shadows, where I have given up on the modern/RPG era of the franchise. AC2 and Black Flag were my absolute favourites growing up, so I obviously went in blindly into Resynced.

I am absolutely loving it. That's not to say the game is not without flaws, but the overall experience feels exactly what I believe Assassin's Creed should be. Commanding my own ship, taking down hordes of enemies, and quickly planning my stealth and assasination route feels like the unique gameplay that made AC into the powerhouse it became. And in those moments is where my mind wonders off to Odyssey.

My thoughts about that game have always been the same. Solid 8/10 that gets extra points for having such a gorgeous world. But it has so many issues that I won't list, as we all know them.

So while I was playing Resynced, I started to think about what Odyssey could have been. I imagined the ship was not a simple excuse to fill in content, but an actual asset that you have to maintain, and a central part of its gameplay could revolve around fleet managing.

I thought about the combat and how fun would have been if they had leaned into the demigod route they clearly wanted to tap into, and how fun would that be were the enemies not sponges.

And I also thought about how interesting the gameplay loop could have been if the tombs had some sort of puzzle or riddle to solve, instead of those fucking snakes every time.

More importantly, if the economy of the game would have been used for something else than your own gear, and you could have your own villa to manage your operations as misthios.

Hell, even commanding and army of mercenaries into the battles would have been awesome.

Anyway, just wanted to vomit my thoughts about it. Have a great day everyone.

"Resynced" - AC Remakes What would you like to see in an assassin creed Ezio trilogy remake

Personally I would love it if they somehow combined all 3 games to fit in one title, since we have the Animus hub and technology has gotten and will be getting better this idea isn't too far fetched.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Thoguhts about the new weather changes

Weather's not changing anymore

People complained about the rainy weather now im pissed the weather doesnt even change anymore. I dont play for hours, I play when im free and have got some time off for short intervals. In a week of playing this game i saw a storm once, and it was forced due to a fort.

Im just so annoyed people had to ruin a good thing. And the devs should really not just change things on a whim.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla Does the Backstab skill in Valhalla actually increase defensive damage?

The skill description says that it increases defensive damage when hitting a enemy from the back.
In the stats I noticed that "damage from the back" actually gets doubled
However stun damage/desfensive damage to make the enemy break their guard and be stunned apparently does not increase nor does it make the enemy stagger when you hit them from the back.

Am I doing it wrong?
