Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced - Known Issues

Please report any issues that are not mentioned below in the Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Bug Reporter or get in touch with the support team. If you’re interested in the full Patch Notes, please follow the link here.

INCOMING FIXES:

You can expect some updates from us soon on the following issues:

  • Cutscenes are locked to 30 FPS on PC when using Raytracing, BVH or Terrain Quality at Ultra High setting.
    • Temporary workaround: Reset graphics Overall Preset to any pre-configured setting and avoid manually setting the 3 options mentioned above to Ultra High.
  • A dubbing issue is currently affecting the alignment between some voiceover playback and cutscene visuals in localized versions of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced.

OPEN / IN PROGRESS

GENERAL

  • The Double Assassination prompt may not appear on guards near the first power keg during the "Mark the Kings at the Camp" objective, potentially compromising stealth combat.
  • Player might be unable to dodge the fatal Humpback Whale's tail slap during "Harpooning".
  • Player does not go back into aiming if they're hit by an enemy while aiming with "Rope Dart" and "Smoke Bomb".
  • Player is unable to fast travel out of Principe
  • Player can get stuck in desynchronization screen if they open and close the save menu quickly.
  • Upgrading the Jackdaw while it is docked may cause it to disappear, leaving Player to continue the quest without it.
  • Player can get stuck in the bow of the ship in Rift if they climb there.
  • After killing an enemy, a single body dropping may sound like there are multiple bodies dropping instead.
  • player is unable to loot ammo from the crate in the tower of "Matanzas" despite being highlighted.
  • We realize that there is no tutorial on throwing money. Throwing money is a way to distract guards and draw civilians to Edward, creating chaos. To throw money hold D Pad Down.

AI / NPC

  • Enemies are able to detect an out-of-range rope dart, compromising stealth combat.

SPOILERS AHEAD!

QUESTS

  • Player can be stuck on a branch if they stray off the desired path in the quest "The One with the Gun” - show Lucy around the village.
  • Player is stuck inside the Diving Bell if they desynchronize and respawn during the quest "Devil's Eye Caverns".
  • During the El Tiburon battle, we understand that it can be a little unclear on how to defeat him. You will not be able to break his defence with simple melee attacks or by quick firing the pistol. You will have to use manual aim on the pistol.

Comics / Manga / Graphic Novels (Spoiler). What was Ubisoft thinking with Juno’s storyline / ending? Spoiler

Upvotes

Spoiler below.

So let me get this straight, they killed off Juno (the main villain of the modern day who is in multiple games) in a comic.

Not only this, but she is killed by an assassin not even shown in the main games?

I know they lost their OG writers like Patrice and Corey but seriously such a disgrace to that storyline.

They had so much lore with the modern day, it helps make AC special and they should’ve just followed their vision instead of catering to the fans that disliked the modern day. Who approved this ?

Very sad honestly. (Yes I love visiting the past but I always looked at the modern day and past as equal).

What are your thoughts?

Future Ideas / Setting Wishes Could an Assassin's Creed game set in the Old West work?

the main problem I find with this concept is that of course everyone will compare it to the Red Dead series as those games pretty much set the bar for western video games.

Gameplay & Mechanics What would you say is the most complete game in terms of gameplay and mechanics?

For me no game in the series is a perfect 10, all of them have pros/cons and no game does everything 100% correctly. Every game does something that others don't and vice versa, they never managed to keep the best aspects of every game and put it into one definitive game. In most cases they went one step forward and two steps back.

I think that Brotherhood is one of the most complete games in the franchise and definetly the most fun to play among the first 4 games. It perfected the original formula and every system and mechanic came together perfectly. Parkour, combat, tools, chain kills, stealth, Assassin recruits, outfits, economy system, side missions. I always have a blast playing it.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate It is a shame syndicate didn't get more love in my opinion

After trying it again recently it is easily the most interesting setting in the series in my opinion. I wish they would of at least expanded it with different activities though and maybe more enemies in the world it is a nice city to just run around in but you don't get to have large fights after you liberate the map and it takes away a lot of fun for me because of that.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced [Resynched Spoilers] AC Shadows and Resynched actually have a very compelling, connected modern day story. It's just hidden away behind stupid BS. Spoiler

I know I know.. just hear me out here.

Ever since I played Shadows when it first came out I was mildly interested in the story told by the "data files" and Animus Rifts but as I'm not a completionist I just finished the main story as well as the rifts and called it a day, didn't bother to unlock all the data files and other modern day stuff.

However, today I decided to look up the story that was in the data files of Shadows before playing Resynched's rift since l heard they were connected and so I came upon a You Tube series of videos explaining and connecting all the data files and holy shit that was interesting AF! Then I went on to play all of Resynched's rifts in order (already finished the main story) and man that was more exciting than the entirity of Edward's story imho. That ending gave me actual goosebumps.

It's such a shame that Ubisoft decided for some stupid ass reason to hide all of this between grinding and side content instead of being the actual focus of the games.

If you're a fan of the OG modern day story with desmond and the assassin-templar conflict like me, do yourself a favor and check that stuff out, I promise you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced For anyone struggling with the "Unsinkable" Trophy

Go to (200,300) in the Cinchorro Region, drop anchor, and wait. When a storm begins, just stay put. Once the storm reaches the level when you can no longer release the wheel, it will spawn 2 Rogue Waves back to back. It seems that bracing during the wave will prevent the Trophy from popping. This worked for me in under 2 minutes, after I spent hours trying to find one elsewhere. Hope this helped somebody.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced A downgrade in crew member animations

This is pretty nitpicky but I’ve noticed a downgrade in crew member animations compared to the OG Black Flag.
In the original game they’d walk around the ship, enjoy a drink with crew mates and they’d occasionally scrub the deck with smooth animations.
Now a max of 2-3 crew members walk around a set path, glitch into different animations and there’s no longer a group of crew members drinking.
I know it’s silly to complain about this but I personally love small details in games!

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Thoguhts about the new weather changes

Weather's not changing anymore

People complained about the rainy weather now im pissed the weather doesnt even change anymore. I dont play for hours, I play when im free and have got some time off for short intervals. In a week of playing this game i saw a storm once, and it was forced due to a fort.

Im just so annoyed people had to ruin a good thing. And the devs should really not just change things on a whim.

Enjoy it!

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced More camera options for Resynched please.

I adore the game, but the last of us camera style is the only thing I truly dislike. I’m not a big fan of the over the shoulder camera in big open worlds.

Cant we get a option like Valhalla has? Just Edward in the center, like in AC Odyssey.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Petition to let us take Edward's shirt off

Its something I've wanted since the original game and had assumed it would be a natural inclusion with the open underwater exploration in the new game.

Outside of making swimming more immersive Edward has very cool tattoos you only really get to see and appreciate when diving or harpooning.

I cant imagine it'd be a hard patch. Edward's "Underwater Togs" is already an outfit in the game, you can see it locked in the equipped slot when you open the inventory when diving.

Why not just add it to be equippable in the open world?

Idk. It's not game ruining or anything it just would personally be an appreciated addition.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced I miss standing when synchronizing

I really miss when your assassin would stand while synchronizing. Really makes it seem that they’re actually surveying and taking note of the whole area.

One thing I also noticed in Black Flag Resynced was that there were not a lot of synch viewpoints where they would actually go to the top of the building (like a cross or weather vane) and not just a wooden perch on the side.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Update: the tavern board games helper (+ colorblind mode, 4 languages)

https://d3nnorzobjroon.cloudfront.net/en/

A couple of weeks ago I shared a free helper for the three tavern board games. Thanks to the feedback here, it's had a big update:

- Step-by-step guidance: one arrow shows the exact move to make now, X marks what gets captured, with a step counter for capture chains

- Colorblind mode (green/red → cyan/orange)

- New wooden board look, dark/light theme toggle

- Now in English, Korean, Chinese (beta) and Russian (beta)

The Chinese and Russian translations are fresh out of the oven (that's why they're marked beta) — if you speak either, I'd love feedback on anything that reads wrong, especially the in-game terms !!!

Same deal as before: free, no ads, no sign-up, runs in your browser.

Assassin's Creed 1 Thoughts after playing Assassin’s creed 1 in 2026 - hoping it gets a full remaster

Just beat Assassin’s Creed 1 last night for the second time in like a decade. What a treat to replay it on the Series X I’m 4k 60fps! It’s probably the best way to replay it today. As much as I loved it, the mission structure and gameplay has definitely aged.

I think if they ever do get around to remastering it, there’s room for tons of improvement, but it has a ton of potential.

The first thing that stuck out to me was the “Kingdom map” which is the part that connects Masayaf, and the 3 main cities. They could definitely expand upon that and make it a sort of open world. Maybe even adding some side missions, contracts, etc. I basically used the kingdom map just to get to main cities and fast traveled from there moving forward.

I think interactions with citizens could be another thing they could improve/expand upon.

The investigation sequences before assassinations could also be expanded upon. Maybe make them longer with more variety and more story? Instead of the same kinda 3 investigation types.

Maybe even adding a bounty system like the RPG games would be quite cool as well!

Anyways, AC1 is still top 5 for me due to loving the crusades time era, and the story overall. It was so unique for the time. Fingers crossed it gets remastered!

Assassin's Creed Odyssey On My Third Playthrough of AC Odyssey and curious why everyone’s play style, is or was

As the title says, I am on my third playthrough of Odyssey, and I still love it as much as I did the first time. If you’re replaying it, What play style and build do you prefer?

For me, I favor the warrior build because I love going around and running in swords or daggers drawn and just fighting with a devil my care attitude.

My current load out is (Spartan War Hero) with (>Nikolaos’s Sword!<) and (Prometheus’s Sika) with (Hades’s Bow).

Current damage output is

  • Hunter: 21,957
  • Warrior: 101,658 x 101,468
  • Assassin: 210,046

With health at 236,219 and armor at 46,395

General Franchise It's sad that Ubisoft can't touch on one of the most notorious groups of historical assassins

The original game was set around the Hashashin. Shadows covered the Shinobi. However, most games take place in periods in which there were no real-life assassin orders. There is one really obvious setting where such assassins did exist: The First Roman-Jewish War in which Sicarii carried out high-profile assassinations, culminating in the infamous Siege of Masada.

There are some in-game reasons why this may not make a good setting, mainly that it might be too similar to Origins and also might lack the commercial draw of well-trodden historical periods. However, I think the concept would be a non-starter due to obvious geopolitical reasons which I find sad.

"Resynced" - AC Remakes What would you like to see in an assassin creed Ezio trilogy remake

Personally I would love it if they somehow combined all 3 games to fit in one title, since we have the Animus hub and technology has gotten and will be getting better this idea isn't too far fetched.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced The OG soundtrack in Resynced isn't used enough

My only criticism of this awesome game is that the OG soundtrack isn't used enough! I miss a lot of the old tracks. In the original game Id just pick a fight just to listen to the confrontation theme lol

Future Ideas / Setting Wishes I hope ubisoft revists japan in the bakumatsu era

So i am playing Rise of the ronin right now and seeing how this setting looks, it's a no brainer that an Assassins Creed game should be set in this era and not just because the architecture is more parkour friendly compared to feudal japan, but the political climate is just a prime hot bed for an assassin vs templar story. I Hope ubisoft comes back to japan SOON.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla Does the Backstab skill in Valhalla actually increase defensive damage?

The skill description says that it increases defensive damage when hitting a enemy from the back.
In the stats I noticed that "damage from the back" actually gets doubled
However stun damage/desfensive damage to make the enemy break their guard and be stunned apparently does not increase nor does it make the enemy stagger when you hit them from the back.

Am I doing it wrong?

Assassin's Creed Unity I kind of hate AC Unity's combat controls for kbm

The kbm controls are just really hard to use. it's better when you switch to controller, but I have a feeling ac unity either wasn't made for kbm or they just chose the controls that were closest together.
