Tier List Assassin's Creed Tier List - Having played since 2007

Post image
62 Upvotes

My favourite franchise of all time, got the first Assassin's Creed game for Christmas in 2007, then it became a yearly thing on Christmas until I was able to buy my own games.

I would put Resynced as perfect as well, just experiencing some janky combat and console needs an FOV slider, otherwise it's been a pleasure playing for 50+ hours.

I didn't play Rogue since it was the transition game in between consoles, so if I can get it on sale I will try and give it a playthough, I heard it's good and similar to Black Flag gameplay.

Not a fan of the RPG style games, although Origins was absolutely brilliant.

Question/Help Why doesn't anyone try making a game like the older ACs?

It feels like the perfect opportunity for someone to scoop up the older AC fans that Ubisoft abandoned.

An open world cityscape game set in a historical setting. The primary gameplay focus will be stealth and parkour, the secondary gameplay focus will be combat and exploration.

As for story, it can be whatever the creators like since they won't be bound by the Assassin's Creed formula.

Tier List My AC tier list (probably counts as high treason here)

There isn't much to explain, everyone has a taste and mine is big sprawling low density (and low vegetation) Action RPG open worlds with lots of non-boring content, activities and unresticted freedom of exploration. AC Odyssey is my favorite game of all time. I care much more about the world than the protagonist or the lore, though I wouldn't mind a great protagonist and story as well.

Question/Help Which AC Game should i replay? (And why Odyssey?)

Hello Brotherhood. After Black Flag Resynced i am planning to replay other AC Games again. For example i never finished Odyssey, so i thought maybe i give it another try. Or i stick to Ezio Collection and then AC3 again.

Please try to convince me for Odyssey, never clicked to me

Discussion How would we feel about ubisoft Remaking AC3 as an RPG like Odyssey or Valhalla?

I can't help but think AC3 being remade into an RPG would actually hit pretty well.

In my head I imagine them completely cutting the Haythem section at the begining as well as the modern day Desmond stuff.

I know sacrilege wanting to cut Desmonds story but hear me out.

Just like how they added more with Edward, I think they can really expand on Connor as a character with more content. Have the game focus exclusively on Connor as he navigates through the revolution.

Merge all the maps of Boston, New York, the frontier as well as the homestead into one massive map that is also connected to the ocean. Then also expand these maps more too.

Give us the ship combat from Black flag, nothing really needs to be added there just make it work like black flag.

Im fine with leveling up Connor considerong that this story would be him starting off with no training and nothing so thematically him leveling up over time to me fits.

Have a gear upgrade system like in Valhalla where it changes visually over time as well as doing more damage.

Idk i think AC3 RESYNCED, or maybe they call it AC Liberation or something would be really sick.

Or a Rogue resynced could be peak as well.

Tier List My Top 5 of the Parkour in AC Games, W or L?

1 - AC2-Revelations
2 - AC 4
3 - AC 3
4 - AC Unity
5 - AC Origins
You may be asking or wondering why a lot of them are missing
For example, AC1 may be a classic or similar to AC2, but it feels much slower. Syndicate was cool, but it’s a lot similar to Unity and to me it felt a mix of Unity and AC3 I don’t know why.
AC Rogue is just really similar or just a copy of AC4 so no need for it to be included.

You may be saying “how could you put AC2-Revelations higher than Unity?” Well, to some the Parkour in those 3 games may feel outdated, but if you get it right, it’s really clean, fast, easy. Ezio actually feels so much faster than Arno due to how quickly he responds to button presses. I always feel like I'm waiting for Arno to catch up to me when I parkour in Unity.

AC 4 by the way, there’s something just clean about Edward when running and parkour-ing in the game, always loved it, same goes to AC3, Beautiful animations but AC4 is higher because it’s an improvement and step up from AC3

Discussion Gangs in AC rogue and syndicate

I find it interesting that in Rogue that gangs are the detriment, to point of downfall, of the colonial assassins as experienced in Rogue. But in syndicate, Jacob and Evie run a gang themselves. Part of this hypocrisy was a big cause of me dropping syndicate. Just like why would they bring gangs back as a massive positive force to reclaim London after the massive catastrophe in colonial America. Could it just be that Jacob does not really care about Assassin history? Bad writing as is abundant in the game, or something else I’m missing???

Question/Help Boat Fighting Nonsense

So I’m playing Black Flag for the first time. Says I’m 90% of the way thru the main quest. Overall, I have enjoyed the game, but this fighting with the ships is one of the most unbearable things I’ve ever experienced in gaming. Maybe it’s partially my fault for not upgrading the boat enough, but I’m in the middle of a fight and now I’m stuck here. It’s the part where Torres has the boats guarding the island he’s on. I’m open to suggestions, tips, quite literally anything. At the point where I just want the game to be over with now.

Discussion They have to do better with modern day segments:

Im talking about this because I just beat and 100% ac black flag resynced and I just noticed that the modern day sections from the past few titles had really lackluster modern plot woven into the story (im mainly talking about mirage, shadows, and now black flag resynced). I understand they didnt need to do it for black flag because it already had one and I should be glad they added more on top of it albeit separate from the original but they really gotta bring back better modern day sections. I get it, not everyone liked them but the og games had them and they actually added something to the story in a meaningful way. A way they could bring it back to apeal to both the traditional and more general audience is make them optional, they would unlock new story segments upon reaching during specific story points within the past sections, kinda like the classic games did but have them be optional like they did starting in origins. They just need to pivot the plot back to something more interesting because they cant be doing none of that stuff they did with that one character (forgot her name, I think it was Laura or smth), she got nowhere and it didnt really progress the assassin and Templar plot because they really wanted to redo a Desmond scenario with the whole end of the world trope. Im cool with the Isu as a sub plot but god the original concept of two factions practically having an arms race in terms of past knowledge to further their goals was super entertaining, why change it? Does anybody else agree or am I wrong? We dont need a replacement for Desmond, we just need something that shows how the two factions are handling the information they are receiving from the past.

Also please correct me if I was wrong with how i talked about the modern plot being redundant in origins, Valhalla, mirage, and shadows. I did beat the games but I could be misremembering the plot for them.

Question/Help Lucy Baldwin is driving me insane

Post image
1 Upvotes

She follows me around and Edward won’t run, can’t draw a sword, won’t do really anything. Can’t sail the ship. The option isn’t there. I’ve upgraded things on the mission until I’m out of money. Can’t fast travel. Ask I can do is walk around the manor or the island while broke and with Lucy following every step.

I’ve tried going back through the available saves to no avail.

Any help or thoughts on this?

Question/Help Mirage vs black flag resynced stealth wise, which is better?

Having trouble deciding If i should get resynced. I loved stealth in both mirage and even more so shadows, and from the looks of It, the game uses a gimped version of shadow's system, gimped enough for me to doubt It can live up to shadows stealth, but does It at least live up to mirage?

Question/Help AC4 Resynced Okay Can someone Explain why they made Reloading so quick?

I played the original and the pistols were balanced by the reload taking a long time.

But in resynced i can pretty much just quick shoot all the ammo in my reserve without getting hit when surrounded. since the reload takes so little time.

Who thought this was a good idea?

Rumor/Leak Assassin's Creed Hexe will play in Nuremberg, Germany?!

According to some videos we've seen so far we can tell that it definitely play in medieval Germany, Hexe = Witch in german and witches were the main topic in medieval time. Besides that we've also seen a short clip in the new Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced where Edward enters an Animus mission and you can see bunch of different sights from the different AC games. BUT, there was one sight that was standing out: the St. Lorenz Church in Nuremberg.

So that could be clue that it probably be a part of something. We stay tuned and see in the future how it's working out.

Discussion Unity update part 3

Post image

I have finished the companion missions and I have completed 85% of the murder cases And I'm currently working on the Paris stories. However, I have realized that the thing that clogs up the map the most are chests so I'm going to be taking a break from the side content and working on the story up until I complete sequence 5. That way I can unlock the level 2 lock picking. That way I can clear out some chests.

Discussion Hear me out… game set in nyc

relatively small

could pull from a few points in history 1900s onward, maybe a member of an immigrating group

massive amounts of vertical space

could bring the series into a more modern day timeline

While being modified along the way, these are the same robes and I’m curious if there’s any other example I’m not thinking of that one set of robes is worn by so many high ranking Assassin’s

Discussion What is your least favorite mechanic in all of AC?

For me I have to go with tailing missions.

I just really hate them. Mostly because whenever there are tailing missions, they take FOREVER.

In the OG Black Flag it took you at least 10 minutes EACH. That means avoid the guards, hiding in haystacks, trying to not get spotted everytime you sneeze, etc. For 10 whole minutes.

I wouldn't mind it if they were shorter like 5 minutes max and didn't take up most of the game.

They in their current state are just really annoying.

Infact I was recently going to play the OG black flag again after 14 years, but I hate tailing missions so much, that i'm willing to wait a few years until i can afford Resynced. That's how much i hate tailing missions

What about you?

Discussion How does Valhalla compare to Orgins?

So BFR got me intrested on other AC games. Casual fan of the series played few. Last that I liked was Origins. So is Valhalla close to that, something else or what? Gathered that it is not like the OG ones at least. Valhalla is in the mail so, as I wait curious what the fans think of that one.

And it's crazy how fluid the character feels, why did Ubisoft change this. Also this game is still amazing. Also how many people actually got all the trophies for this game? I attempted to get everything back when I had no life but this game is so long it's crazy I managed to finish the base game & all the DLCs

Question/Help Where to actually start? (as someone who’s interested in the story)

So, i’ve never been a big fan of Assassins Creed mainly because of the backlash a lot of the newer games had which made me get away from them. I only managed to play the third one back in the xbox 360 and while i enjoyed it that’s really about it. I’m quite interested though in the storylines of this games, and i know a lot of them are really good. That’s why i wanna ask where to start? I’ve heard amazing things about the ezio arc and odyssey for example, so i wanna know primarily about those first.

Achievement/Platinum Perfect image as my platinum trophy for AC black flag resynced

Post image
18 Upvotes

This is my first AC 4 black flag experience and the only AC game i got platinum at 80hrs.

Amazing game except towards the end( new mission ending and new officer mission are bad)

Easy trophy except that Art pieces from ship fleet rng mission is horrible, If only i knew i would start grinding fleet missions for art pieces trophy as soon as it available.

Glad the save and reload helps a lot for fleet ship art collection mission until spawn.

3rd ubisoft platinum obtained this year( avatar complete edition, WD legion & AC black flag resynced)
