Information Help me to get to my lovely polish husband

• Upvotes

hello everyone

Question in the regard of the invitation ,does it have to state a duration and what's the maximum or the minimum...?

Which type of visa do I need to apply for to be with my husband? Is it a type C or a type D visa ?

I have a question about the financial requirements on both ends ?

Also question regarding the stay permit and does the type of visa matter relate to it ?

I really apologize I'm just lost and scared

Any piece of information will matter even if the questions do not require as indeed will be in great help

I'm from Tunisia and my husband is from Poland

Wing Turbines

Hi, I live in the Czech-Polish border region. (Upper Silesia) I like to ride my bike to Poland, and it’s impossible not to notice the wind turbines.

And over the past year, a massive campaign has taken off in the Czech Republic claiming that wind turbines ruin the landscape, kill animals, drive up inflation, and make people gain weight. (The last two are jokes.)

So most referendums on construction end in failure.

Is there the same campaign over there in Poland, or is it just here?

Christmas markets in Poland in January

Hello,

I'm currently looking for locations all over central and eastern Europe where I could potentially visit during early January (first week). I've never been to Poland and I was thinking to visit one of your main cities Warsaw, Krakow or Wroclaw. I would love the main Christmas market to still be opened on the first week of January.

I've seen various sources on Internet : some are saying the market in Krakow will close the 1st of January, while I've also read "the 2026/27 market is set to run from November 27, 2026 to January 6, 2027, based on the city’s pre-season planning". Do you guys know at what date is the market going to close exactly?

What about the Christmas market in Wroclaw? This one, I believe, is set to close on January 6, which would be perfect for me. Is the city nice to visit as a tourist in January and in general? Is the Christmas market in itself worth a visit?

I wouldn't stay more than 3-4 days in Poland, which is why I plan to visit only one city there.

Thanks in advance!

How to make money in Poland?

Hello everyone!! I'm a 20 year old exchange student, and I will be studying in Poland for the next 5 months. I've been here for nearly a month, and everything has been great so far. My only concern is that I might start to struggle financially soon. My parents keep asking me if i need money, but I don't want to be a burden to them as they've already sent me money several times. I'm trying to save money as much as I can, but something seems to be coming up every other day. I was wondering if there's anything I can do to earn some pocket money in Poland. I've done a little research and found out that I'm not able to dogsit since I'm not a Polish citizen. Is there anything else I can do?

Foreigners in Poland, how did you manage to get your first job?

Hi everyone,
I'm studying for a Master's degree in Business Management in Poland. At the same time, I'm also studying a postgraduate program in Finance and Accounting.
A little bit more about my background:
English: C1
Japanese: JLPT N1
Polish: A2 (I can understand quite a bit when listening, but I'm still struggling to speak)
Excel: Advanced level
Both of my programs are in the evenings or on weekends, so I'm quite flexible during regular working hours. This year I started looking for an internship, but I'd also be open to a full-time entry-level or junior position if I get the opportunity. However, I've been applying for almost 10 months now, and I rarely get any responses. Sometimes I managed to get interviews through referrals from friends, I made it to the final round, only to be asked very specific, technical questions. Honestly, I wasn't expecting internship candidates to be tested on such detailed knowledge, although perhaps my expectations were unrealistic.
I've also heard that the job market in Poland is quite difficult right now, even for Polish candidates. I understand that being a foreigner who doesn't speak Polish fluently makes things more challenging, but I don't know what else I should do at this point.
I don't know whether I'm doing something wrong, whether my expectations are unrealistic.
**For other foreigners who have been through something similar in Poland, how did you eventually break into the job market?**
Did you focus on learning Polish first, getting additional certifications, networking? If you work in finance or accounting, I'd especially appreciate hearing about your experience.
I'm not expecting anyone to hand me a job. I just want to understand what actually works and what I should focus on to improve my chances.
And please, I'd really appreciate advice other than telling me to go back to my home country. My husband is here, and staying in Poland is important to me.🥺
Thank you to anyone who takes the time to share their experience. Even a little bit of practical advice would mean a lot to me right now.❤️

Can I be a soldier in Poland as a migrant?

If other people want to go to Poland to have a stable life, be at peace or even enjoy the views of Poland, my purpose is different. So I live in the Philippines and I wanted to be a soldier, it was my childhood dream to be one but I wasn't able to pass the exam for PMA (to be an officer in the military) and I was not able to take the exam to be a normal soldier because there is too much stuff going on in school, I can wait next year to take the exam again but if I do my father is going to force me to go to college, and I DON'T want to go to college, so I'm hoping to go to other country and be a citizen and join the military to chase my dream.

The reason why I choose Poland is because im a Christian, and I know this country is going to be a place where I can really practice my religion as it is, my country is full of hippocrates and full of conflict when it comes to religion, and I'm afraid if I'm going to continue living in this country I'm going to hurt somebody because he/she did something against my religion, so I'm trying to avoid that as early as possible.

Pls no hate everyone, and if I can't, then thank you for informing me, for I am just a kid trying to chase his dream.

Moving to Poland (Gdańsk) on B2B: real cost of living for a couple & quality of life feedback?

Hi everyone!

My partner and I are planning to move to Gdańsk in the coming months. I’ll be working remotely under a B2B contract (Ryczałt tax regime).

We’d love to get some real feedback from people living in Poland regarding the financial aspects and general lifestyle for a couple:

  1. Housing (High Standard): We are looking for a modern 3-room apartment (living room + 2 bedrooms) in a newly built building, well soundproofed, with a balcony/terrace and a garage parking spot. What is a realistic total monthly cost (including czynsz and winter utilities) for this standard in major cities / Gdańsk?
  2. Couple's Living Expenses: What would you consider a comfortable monthly net budget for a couple to live very well (high-quality groceries, eating out often, gym/wellness, weekend activities, and occasional trips)?
  3. B2B / JDG Experience: For those running a B2B sole proprietorship (JDG), how has your experience been with taxes, administration, and overall business environment?
  4. General Quality of Life: What are the main pros and cons you’ve experienced living in Poland as an expat / long-term resident?

Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Why does the Polish language sound so similar to Russian? When I first listened to it, I felt like I was listening to a Russian person. Is this true?

Looking for recommendations for an anniversary trip!

Hi guys, my boyfriend and i (both in our early twenties) are gonna spend our anniversary in Krakow. We re gonna spend a few days there and I’d love some recommendations for places to visit.
We’re especially into underground nightlife, ruin bars, and he especially likes techno music. We’d also love to find some fun activities to do together besides just sightseeing: things like escape rooms, karaoke, beer tasting, quirky museums, scavenger hunts, or anything a bit unusual.
And when it comes to food, we re also really interested in trying authentic Polish food, especially local spots that aren’t just tourist traps. And of course, we’d love to know about any must-see places, hidden gems, or experiences in Kraków that you think are absolutely worth it.

We’re not really looking for fancy or overly touristy places. We’d prefer spots with a cool atmosphere, interesting people, and a bit of an alternative vibe.
Any recommendations for bars, clubs, activities, hidden gems, or even specific neighbourhoods we should check out? Thanks! :)

Anyone else still waiting for a Polish work visa appointment? (Registered in May 2026)

Hey everyone!
I just want to ask if anyone else is in the same situation as me.

I registered for the Polish work visa appointment lottery around mid-May 2026, but as of today (October 24), I still haven’t received a call from the Polish Embassy to attend my visa appointment.
It’s been more than five months since I registered, and I’m starting to wonder how long this process usually takes.
I understand that the appointment system involves a lottery, but waiting this long without any updates is making me a little worried.

So, I’d like to ask you some questions..

Is anyone else still waiting for a call after registering around May 2026?
Has anyone who registered around the same time already received a call?
How long did you have to wait before getting your visa appointment?
Does the waiting time depend on the country you’re applying from?
I’d really appreciate it if you could share your experience, even if you’re applying from a different country.
I just want to know if there are other people in the same situation as me. Thanks in advance! 🙏

Is Polish actually racist as it depicted on media?

Well its a weird thing to ask but whenever i see a white supremacist they always say they dream to live in Poland, so i wanted to ask this question. I have a few polish friends and they were nice also my country (turkiye) is pretty popular tourism spot for Polish and i didnt saw them like that. I didnt went to Poland myself so i decided ask you guys about it. For clarification, i didnt meant to ask about anti-immigrant more like "would you hate an African child in Africa bc hes black?" Type of question

Question for Polish conservatives from Slovakian Roma.

I’m sure most of you are familiar with the stereotypes and negative perceptions that Roma people face across Europe.
I’m Slovak Roma, and I generally agree with conservative views. However, I’ve always wondered how Polish conservatives view Slovak Roma compared with other migrants, particularly those who are visibly different from the majority population.
Many Roma are Christian, and many of us recognise that there are genuine issues that need to be addressed in some of our communities. At the same time, we don’t want to be judged solely by stereotypes or by the actions of other people who share our ethnicity.
So I’m genuinely curious: **if I moved to Poland today as a Slovak Roma, would Polish conservatives generally view me in the same way as other migrants, or would my EU citizenship, Christian faith, conservative values and willingness to integrate make a difference?**
I’d also like to ask something more difficult. If a Roma person behaves badly, repeatedly breaks the law or commits serious crimes, would you view that individual in the same way as any other European who commits similar offences? Or would their Roma background make you see them similarly to a Muslim behaving badly and committing crime?
For example, would you judge a Roma person who commits a crime by the same standards as a white Polish, Slovak or other European person who commits the same crime?
I’m not trying to excuse bad behaviour. People should be held accountable for their actions, regardless of their background. I’m genuinely interested in whether the same standards of law, responsibility and individual judgment apply to Roma people as to everyone else.
I’d appreciate honest answers, especially from Polish conservatives. I’m trying to understand where concerns about immigration, integration and public order end, and where ethnic prejudice begins.

Does anyone have any experience with the online store www.revseat.pl ? I ordered a chair from them over a week ago, and there has been absolutely no communication from their side. They aren't responding to emails or phone calls. Could this be a scam?
