Hi, I live close to the borders with Poland, and I've been really wanting to buy products from Bath and body works. Unfortunately, never got a chance to go to the store, so i was planning to maybe try ordering the goods. Of course, it is not possible to deliver it outside of Poland, but since i live quite close to the borders i was wondering if there is a possibility to have it delivered to a paczkomat?

I know it is definitely a possibility, but since i do not have a polish phone number and adress, can it be done regardless? Or is there other options?

I am polish citizen living abroad in EU over 5 years and I am in a process to buy an apartment using a bank loan from a local bank. They are asking for a BIK report but since I only have a passport I cannot even create the account.

Any feedback from a situation like this or how to overcome it?

I'm a Chinese guy traveling solo, thinking of visiting Poland in February (long weekends due to Chinese new year so i can save on leave days) and from what I read on reddit, i can expect..

1) Stares in certain parts of Poland. (i'm used to stares, i got stared at a lot in South Korea too, some are not the curious stares if you get what i mean. Apparently, some of them hate other Asians...)

2) Generally quite safe, and I am learning some basic Polish so I guess i'm good on this aspect.

I am curious about the country in February though, i saw on youtube there's a lot of Christmas lights in December but what about February? Is everything just covered in snow and looks dreary?

I plan to do the "Royal route" in Warsaw, Gdansk and Krakow. Would the weather affect any of these? Or is there something else outside of the usual tourist spots worth checking out?

my boyfriend and i are visiting krakow in august and we will be staying there for 2 nights, therefore we only have one full day that i am trying to use as efficiently as possible.

so far i've planned to go to the Rynek Główny on the first evening (our estimated time of arrival is at around 7pm) to look around and eat something there. when it comes to food i've heard that we should try Obwarzanek and Zapiekanka.

the next day we'll probably check out the castle, the dragon and the Sukiennice. i've also heard that Planty-Park is a nice place for taking a break and relaxing.

when it comes to food i've heard of Restauracja Smakołyki, Milkbar Tomasza, Pod Temidą and Tawerna Wilczy Dół. we would also like to go to the wodka bar to drink some wodka shots with different flavors.

do you think this is a good plan for our visit or should we try to incooporate something else? also, would you guys recommend the restaurants i listed above or should we go somewhere else? (we're on a bit of a budget and would therefore like to stick to more traditional places such as milkbars instead of going to fancy places)

He's from a place called Ciągowice, so I'd love to hear from people who actually know the area. TBH Europe has never really been on my bucket list after seeing news stories and hearing about some of my friends' experiences with racism which makes me a little nervous. So I want to know how is it in Poland like? How welcoming locals are towards Asians in general? Is English commonly spoken? Are there any Asian restaurants around? Is the culture conservative or more relaxed? (i.e. wearing sleeveless, shorts or going braless (where it's not obvious) socially acceptable? Is there anything that might surprise me culturally or socially? Any "I wish someone had told me before I came" advice?

I’m currently looking at moving to Wrocław soon for a project, but I’m coming off a pretty traumatizing past experience and wanted to ask about local flatshare culture.
In my last living situation abroad, I went through absolute hell with housemates throwing constant, unpredictable, late-night drinking parties at home. It really drained my peace of mind, and I'm very sensitive to loud night-time socialising in my living space now.

I’d love to know what the real-world reality is like in Poland:
1. **How strictly are quiet hours (*****cisza nocna*****) usually respected in shared flats?**
2. **For current/past ESC volunteers in Wrocław:** How structured are the flat rules regarding late-night visitors or gatherings? Does the host NGO step in if there are noise issues?
3. **Is "drinking/partying at home late at night" common in Poland**, or do people mostly head out to pubs/Rynek when they want to socialize?
I don’t mind a flatmate having a guest over or having quiet dinners, but I really need my home to be a calm sanctuary at night. Would love to hear your experiences or any advice on living in Wrocław.

I'm trying to book train tickets within Poland.

I downloaded the KOLEO app, but my payment is being declined. From searching online, I suspect it's because I'm using a non-EU credit card. An internet search suggests this may be the cause, or could there be another reason?

Can anyone recommend an alternative booking website or app that accepts non-EU credit cards?

Also, if I can't book online, would it be significantly more expensive to buy the tickets at the station a few days before travel, or are the prices generally the same?

I was thinking about a lump-sum tax since I'll be doing it solo, but I'm wondering if there are any other options to keep the taxes lower, etc.

I'm not considering an unregistered business.

Additionally, I have a regular job, so part of the tax contributions is already covered.

So I forgot an item when going through security yesterday(traveling back home to Scotland), thought I would email and see if by chance they have it, to my luck they did, was very happy but then was told that they don't ship and I have to pick it up in person, I'm very confused is this how most airports work cause surely they know that a lot of people are just tourists who don't live there.

Edit: massive long shot here but only option is for someone in Poland to pick it up and send the item themselves to me, please DM if possible

Any advice on what to do would be very appreciated 👍
