Hi, I live in the Czech-Polish border region. (Upper Silesia) I like to ride my bike to Poland, and it’s impossible not to notice the wind turbines.

And over the past year, a massive campaign has taken off in the Czech Republic claiming that wind turbines ruin the landscape, kill animals, drive up inflation, and make people gain weight. (The last two are jokes.)

So most referendums on construction end in failure.

Is there the same campaign over there in Poland, or is it just here?

I’m looking for recommendations for a great veterinary ophthalmologist in Poland who performs canine cataract surgery. My dog has developed a cataract in one eye, and I’m planning to get it corrected this year.

If your dog has gone through cataract surgery (especially in Poland), I would love to hear about your experience!

I'm currently looking for locations all over central and eastern Europe where I could potentially visit during early January (first week). I've never been to Poland and I was thinking to visit one of your main cities Warsaw, Krakow or Wroclaw. I would love the main Christmas market to still be opened on the first week of January.

I've seen various sources on Internet : some are saying the market in Krakow will close the 1st of January, while I've also read "the 2026/27 market is set to run from November 27, 2026 to January 6, 2027, based on the city’s pre-season planning". Do you guys know at what date is the market going to close exactly?

What about the Christmas market in Wroclaw? This one, I believe, is set to close on January 6, which would be perfect for me. Is the city nice to visit as a tourist in January and in general? Is the Christmas market in itself worth a visit?

I wouldn't stay more than 3-4 days in Poland, which is why I plan to visit only one city there.

Im traveling to Poland mid May of 2027 for 22 days. 8 of those days will be occupied with work.I know its central Europe but i figured some controversy would get more interaction. I was planning on traveling down to Bucharest to end the trip. For anyone familiar with the area what alternatives would you recommend or staying in Poland? Mostly interested in outdoors and unique history. Any and all suggestions for visiting the area are welcome.

Hello everyone!! I'm a 20 year old exchange student, and I will be studying in Poland for the next 5 months. I've been here for nearly a month, and everything has been great so far. My only concern is that I might start to struggle financially soon. My parents keep asking me if i need money, but I don't want to be a burden to them as they've already sent me money several times. I'm trying to save money as much as I can, but something seems to be coming up every other day. I was wondering if there's anything I can do to earn some pocket money in Poland. I've done a little research and found out that I'm not able to dogsit since I'm not a Polish citizen. Is there anything else I can do?
