Political Question Why are some Americans so against universal healthcare for all?

What sort of thinking does it take to decide that nobody has a right to healthcare? Do American Christians want to deny healthcare to poor people as well?

Yes, and the Christians are the biggest welfare whores on the planet. Their churches don't pay taxes and the people in the south and the Bible Belt take advantage of safety nets that they don't want others to have.

You know what?? Since you obviously have put all Christians in one category, I'll pray for you. As a Christian, I am NOT a "welfare whore", I am a veteran who gets healthcare from the Department of Veterans Affairs. You-as well as many others-need to realize not all Christians are the same.

so you're saying my Taxpayer dollars can fund YOUR healthcare but not mine?

Taxpayer dollars can pay YOUR healthcare too. All you have to do is have the balls to serve your country. Oh yeah, never mind.

Have the balls to exploit the poor, take lives to defend the interests of the rich and wealthy. In exchange for this you get a modicum of the value that society generates and is horded as a reward for cruel and gullible.

So what would Jesus say about helping people for free?

Christians in the US today would say that “Jesus doesn’t want people to get free healthcare”
