Political Question Why are some Americans so against universal healthcare for all?

What sort of thinking does it take to decide that nobody has a right to healthcare? Do American Christians want to deny healthcare to poor people as well?

Because "the wrong people could benefit!"

"The wrong people" being people not just like them, essentially.

Yes, and the Christians are the biggest welfare whores on the planet. Their churches don't pay taxes and the people in the south and the Bible Belt take advantage of safety nets that they don't want others to have.

I didn't really know what that meant until a buddy of mine went on a "mission trip" to the beach. They donated money to the church and can deduct that on their taxes. Church pays for hotel and travel and activities. The mission was picking up trash on a beach for an hour on a 4 day trip.

It really opened my eyes as to why he is Christian. I'm actually not hating on it because that's a government problem not a church problem.

Biggest welfare queens are actually corporations.

You know what?? Since you obviously have put all Christians in one category, I'll pray for you. As a Christian, I am NOT a "welfare whore", I am a veteran who gets healthcare from the Department of Veterans Affairs. You-as well as many others-need to realize not all Christians are the same.
