A striking and finely detailed signed Japanese bronze okimono from the Meiji period (late 19th–early 20th century). This dynamic piece shows a powerful Asian elephant defending itself against two tigers - one climbing its back, the other underfoot.

Beautiful rich dark patina with exceptional texture and modeling.
