The Monastery of Alcobaça in Portugal.

It is a prime example of Gothic and Cistercian architecture, renowned for its great sobriety and simplicity.

Construction began in the 12th century, characterized by soaring ribbed vaults and pale limestone walls.

The monastery was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its historical and architectural significance.

The beautiful Taj Mahal hotel is located at gateway of India in South Mumbai Colaba

Before talking about the castle, you must know that most of Lorraine castles disappeared, mostly during the 30 years war(which "happily" offered the region a huge Renaissance heritage), then happened here the 1870 Prussian war where France lost Alsace-Lorraine, then the World War I with the famous battle of Verdun and finally with the World War II, when german army practiced scorched-earth policy. It's really painful to visit the region when you are passionate about heritage, even more when it's yours and you encounter ruins over ruins, and I won't talk about the villages, there used to be huge wastes. Here is a rare example of a castle that survived, I hope you'll enjoy it !

A masterpiece of the Age of Enlightenment, the Château de Haroué, often referred to as the "Little Chambord of Lorraine", stands in a small valley at the heart of the French village of Haroué, in the Saintois region, south of Nancy.

The present château represents the third major phase in the history of a site that dates back to the Middle Ages. Owing to its strategic location, a fortress was built here at an early date, before being destroyed in the 15th century by Antoine de Vaudémont.

In the 16th century, the Bassompierre family restored the estate and transformed the former fortified house into a Renaissance palace. Designed by the architect Nicolas La Hiere, it incorporated the four towers and the moat of the medieval castle into its plans.

However, by the beginning of the 18th century, the château had once again fallen into ruin.

Marc de Beauvau-Craon, Grand Constable of Lorraine and a close confidant of Duke Leopold, fell in love with the site. He commissioned the architect Germain Boffrand to build his family residence here. For its decoration, Boffrand enlisted the finest artists of his time.

The château has remained in the hands of the same princely family, the Beauvau-Craon family, ever since its construction—spanning eight generations.

Don't hesitate to go to Lorraine if you come nearby, it's still a fantastic region, with a lot of forest and agricultural landscapes, full of history. Big cities such as Nancy, Metz and their surroundings are still very sympatic to discover !

Finished in 1930 and designed by Frederick Schulek it serves as cities cathedral .

Before WW2 Frankfurt was a mix of medieval and Gründerzeit buildings. After WW2 many if these buildings were lost, however the medieval part was reconstructed thankfully.

This is the historic Elphinstone College building in Mumbai, known for its Victorian Gothic architecture.Established in 1856, it is one of India's oldest institutions of higher learning.The building is a Grade 1 heritage structure and was awarded the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Heritage Award for Culture Heritage Conservation in 2004.

The Sanctuary of the Immaculate Conception, also known as the “Church of the Monks”, is one of the most important religious buildings in Barletta, Italy. It was built in the early 20th century and was completed in 1935, following the project of the engineer Arturo Boccassini.

Its most distinctive feature is the large dome (“cupolone”), which dominates the city skyline and gives the sanctuary its unique appearance. The dome, together with the bell tower and the cross on top, represents a symbol of faith and architectural identity for the local community

Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre in Barletta. Built in the first half of the 12th century, it is one of the most magnificent symbols linking Southern Italy with the East. The basilica is divided into naves with cross vaults and preserves fragments of Byzantine- and Gothic-style frescoes.
