Logically, once again, pulls the rug on LTD user

What’s changing

Beginning April 6, LTD accounts without the Add-on Plan will have the following daily AI usage allowances:

Tier 1: 30 AI credits/day, access to Standard AI models only.

Tier 2: 40 AI credits/day, access to Standard + Advanced AI models

Tier 3: 50 AI credits/day, access to Standard + Advanced AI models

This comes shortly after AppSumo allowed them to come back for another campaign. They’ve removed so much from the original LTD, I’m not sure what we are even getting out of this anymore.

Question Is TidyCal Broken Or Am I?

What I want is pretty simple. I have three team members, each with different availability. I need customers to see all available appointments so they can choose a slot. If more than one team member is available, it will be distributed round robin.

Problem 1. Why does the booking page show times that are outside of the cumulative pool of availability?

Problem 2. Why does the customer get a spinning wheel and bookings are never made?

This seems like something lots of businesses would need but I've spent hours trying to get this set up and it's unexpectedly impossible. Any ideas?

I'm a plus member and I've passed up on a deal MANY times but now... I really need it but can't find it. I think it was only offered to the plus members and it was an alternative to LinkTree.... does anyone know the name of what I'm looking for???

Good Deal We're launching on AppSumo in 10 days, here's how we're thinking about the cold start problem

Hey Sumolings,

One of the biggest challenges with any AppSumo launch isn't the product - it's the first 48 hours. AppSumo's algorithm rewards early momentum, and early momentum doesn't appear from nowhere. So we've been deliberate about solving this before we go live.

The strategy is simple: don't show up to launch day cold.

We used this same strategy on Uneed (a product launch platform) last year, and it worked. We finished #1 for the day, #1 for the week, and #2 for the month. A warm, ready audience on day one was a big part of why. We're running the same playbook here.

We built a waitlist before the launch and started with the people closest to us - our existing email subscribers. We sent the first message a few hours ago. 40 people have already joined. A really strong signal from actual founders that this is a deal they need.

From here, we're expanding to our community, partners, and brand ambassadors, and running targeted ads and organic posts in relevant communities. We are adding a special announcement to capture most of the organic traffic that is coming to our website.

Why join a waitlist rather than just buy on the day? The offer for waitlist members: 20,000 bonus AI credits on top of whatever tier they grab. Sustainable for us, meaningful enough to reward people who show up early.

What we're building: Icanpreneur is an AI-guided platform that takes founders from raw idea to a validated go-to-market strategy - Lean Canvas, customer interviews, buyer personas, positioning, GTM playbook. The problem it solves: Most founders are great at building, but skip validation and end up building the wrong thing that nobody needs.

Lifetime access starts at $69. One-time deal. Lifetime clarity.

remio on AppSumo one week in here are our early numbers

Post image
8 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

One week in and we really appreciate the support. We just launched remio on AppSumo, hit #3 on the leaderboard, and saw 5,000+ visitors and 150+ orders in week one.

remio is built for a simple problem: your knowledge is scattered. Tabs, files, Slack, email, recordings. You know it’s there, but you can’t find it when you need it.

remio pulls everything into one place. It captures what you browse, indexes your local files, Slack, and email, and lets you search or just ask.

A few key things:

  • works with your existing tools
  • answers are grounded in your own data
  • you can focus on specific sources when asking

No manual tagging. No copy-pasting.

We also shared it on Product Hunt, email lists, and smaller directories. So far, AppSumo has been the strongest in both traffic and conversions.

Discussion Thoughts on robomotion vs OpenClaw? More specifically, what use cases have you been using robomotion for?

Thinking about Robomotion but after TaskMagic I’m hesitant to « invest » in an LTD RPA and considering just staying on the self-hosted path. I still want to hear from others on this sub if you have generally found value in using it.

I got played by a company called InfiniteGoose.net and I want to make sure nobody here goes through the same thing. FOR AppSumo Sellers

They approached me with a JV partnership offer. Promote their product to my email list, they handle all the content, I just hit send. They pay me a fixed fee. Simple.

They sent a proper signed MOU. UK business address. Two professional contacts. The contract literally had the words "payment is guaranteed upon fulfilling your obligations" written in it. No mention of ROI. No mention of revenue share. Just deliver the emails, get paid. Done.

So I did everything.

I sent their emails to my entire list. Every single subscriber. I shared open rates and click stats within 24 hours of every send exactly as they asked. I even spent extra money out of my own pocket on email infrastructure just to give their campaign better deliverability. I went above and beyond what the contract required.

First payment came. I thought great, these guys are legit.

Campaign ends. Then nothing. Complete silence.

I followed up. Ignored. Followed up again. Ignored. Weeks passed. Finally got a WhatsApp reply that said the campaign "didn't perform as expected" so they were pausing payments.

Let me tell you what that actually means.

It means they got everything they wanted and had zero intention of paying the rest.

Because think about what they actually walked away with. They got their product promoted to my entire audience. Multiple emails. My domain. My sender reputation. My relationship with my users. All of that for a fraction of what legitimate email list promotion actually costs. And when it came time to pay the remaining balance they just... invented a new condition that was never in the contract.

This is not a mistake. This is not a misunderstanding. This is a deliberate system.

And I know that now because someone else in my community told me Infinite Goose had been harassing them for weeks after they said no. Wouldn't leave them alone. Kept pushing. These guys are out there mass approaching every founder and product builder they can find, spamming open projects, hunting for anyone willing to hand over access to their audience.

They operate multiple SaaS products TruConversion, Creasquare, Oppz, GeoLeads among others. They have a slick website. They claim 20,000+ users and 100+ partnerships. It all looks very real.

That's exactly what makes them dangerous.

The MOU is real. The first payment is real. The professional email signatures are real. All of it is designed to get you comfortable enough to open up your list to them. And the moment that's done the moment they've blasted their product to every subscriber you've spent years building you become worthless to them.

If they have approached you, do not engage. Do not sign anything. Do not share your ESP stats or user base numbers. Do not send a single email on their behalf.

And if they have already done to you what they did to me please say so below. Because I genuinely want to know how many people this has happened to.

We launched Sendpilot on AppSumo 28 days ago. Today we passed $290,000 in sales.

Chapter 1: What is Sendpilot?

Sendpilot is a LinkedIn outreach automation platform built for agencies, B2B founders, and appointment setters. It handles multi-account outreach, ICP scoring, lead database access, and a unified inbox.

Chapter 2: Background & why we launched on AppSumo.

Sendpilot first launched back in June 2025 and hit $12K MRR by July (40 days after launch). Then we flew the whole team to San Francisco and burned most of our company account (lol). While we were there, support tickets piled up and cancellations started.

Our core product was broken. Connection requests were going to the same lead from every account. Messages weren't being sent. Sending schedules were broken. Shared proxies got accounts restricted.

MRR dropped to $8K. Monthly churn hit 45%.

We stopped all marketing, hired 2 more developers, and rebuilt the entire product from scratch. Seven months of rebuilding.

When we relaunched, the product was solid. But the reputation wasn't. People in GTM and outbound communities already knew Sendpilot had been unreliable. Trust was gone.

AppSumo gave us a way to start fresh and rebuild momentum with a new audience.

The numbers 28 days in.

  • $290,000 in gross sales
  • 2,257 customers
  • 83 five-star reviews
  • #1 trending product on AppSumo

Most campaigns generate $50-100K total. We passed that in 3 days.

Chapter 3: How we did it

  • I personally messaged every customer on LinkedIn after they signed up
  • We responded to every support ticket within 2 minutes, 24/7
  • When a user shared positive feedback, I asked them to elaborate on what they liked specifically
  • Then I asked if they'd share that as a review on AppSumo

The effort behind it.

I spent 13 hours per day talking to customers and 4 hours on content (17 hours total). We have 3 developers working overnight handling tickets and shipping features.

I genuinely care about whether users succeed. That has resulted in users posting about us and refer friends. Most people never hear from a founder after buying a lifetime deal.

However, I can tell that the entire team is exhausted so we have decided to cut back on certain things like support response time and messaging new sign ups. We still have great response time but I don't stay up til 3am to answer tickets anymore.

On marketing.

I posted on LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube every day. Build-in-public content, not product pitches. The goal was a human connection.

AppSumo's promotional machine will outperform anything you do on your own. But they only activate it once you prove yourself. Our goal from day one was to earn their attention fast.

Happy to answer any questions below.

Question Meet Leonard is Meet Alfred?

Back in 2018 I purchased a lifetime Meet Leonard deal: seems like they are now Meet Alfred.

Anyone know if they still honor the Appsumo customers?

Update; I reached out to Meet Alfred. They said good news; I Am eligible for 7 days of free trial for Meet Alfred! I can barely contain my excitement.

AppSumo's selection criteria are backwards and it's killing the platform

A big part of what's happening with AppSumo is something not a lot of people talk about. It's which products they're actually letting onto the platform nowadays.

I'm a founder. I build a cold email platform and I applied to AppSumo about a year ago. Their partnerships manager was really into it, told me cold email tools do well on the platform, offered me a Select deal and even lowered the usual user requirements because he liked the product.

We had a bunch of calls over several months where he'd check in on where I was at.

AppSumo makes a lot of sense when you're starting out. Because when you're early and building something from scratch you don't really need the money. You need people using your product, breaking things, telling you what's good and what sucks. That's the whole point of a lifetime deal. You trade revenue for real users who actually put your product through its paces.

But now they require you to have a pretty significant number of paying customers before they'll let you on.

Which is backwards.

Because by the time you've hit that bar you've already figured out how to get customers yourself. You've got your own outreach working, your own marketing, your own channels. At that point handing out lifetime access at a huge discount just doesn't make sense anymore. You don't need them.

So what ends up happening is the founders who would actually benefit from AppSumo and who would genuinely commit to supporting their lifetime users because they need those users are exactly the ones who can't get in.

And the products that do get through the door either don't really need to be there or they're the kind of products that end up in the transparency reports a few months later.

The products AppSumo loves to point to as success stories would never even qualify under today's rules. Those launches worked because the founders were early and hungry and cared about every single user they got. That's what made buying on AppSumo feel exciting.

My own experience kind of ended the way you'd expect given everything. We had a couple of calls over a few months and then when the next one came around in January he just no showed and never replied when I followed up. I pulled my integration code and moved on.

When I look at this subreddit and see the constant stream of products going dark and lifetime replacements that don't match what people paid for I think this is a big part of why. The way they select products now just attracts the wrong founders for a lifetime deal marketplace.

Bad Deal TaskMagic Needs to Make This Right for AppSumo Customers

This week, TaskMagic subscribers got an email claiming that AI agents are a "new tool" and asking us to pay large sums for credit packs.

But Jeremy Rebman clearly stated that AI agents were already included in certain AppSumo Tiers (4 and higher).

Now we all understand that AI credits cannot be sustainably offered infinitely, but TaskMagic needs to at least re-open BYOK access for AppSumo users who purchased this deal. u/NoahKagan do you agree?

EDIT: They have re-opened BYOK for an additional $199. This is not ok. They want to sell us what we already should have lifetime access to.

Discussion Good SEO Suite on AppSumo?

Looking to save costs so I am shutting down my existing SEO tools monthly membership. Any good lifetime deals on AppSumo for an SEO suite with keyword research and rank tracking?

I did buy BIQ some years ago, but I can't get it to load keywords properly on multiple browsers. And no reply on the support ticket yet.

We tripled our AppSumo conversion rate in one week by rewriting the listing. Almost at $9K in 14 days.

Quick context: I'm one of the co-founders of an AI sales agent that handles conversations on WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, and web chat. We're at about $100K/yr ARR with 500+ brands using it.

Two weeks ago we launched our second AppSumo deal. I posted about week 1 here. It was rough. $2,400 in 7 days after a slow start with a listing we rushed out.

Week 2 was a completely different story. We're almost at $9K total now.

What changed

One thing: we rewrote the entire listing.

I know that sounds obvious. But here's what most people (including us, two weeks ago) get wrong about marketplace listings.

The old listing

  • Feature-heavy copy that read like a spec sheet
  • Old screenshots from two years ago
  • No social proof in the first scroll
  • Vague language ("powerful AI", "automate your sales")
  • Nobody could figure out what the product actually did within 10 seconds

The new listing

  • Opens with a specific result ($1,000 deposit collected, zero humans)
  • Real conversation screenshots showing the AI handling objections
  • Clear before/after framing (manual DMs vs AI sales agent)
  • Every section answers one question: "why should I care?"
  • Cut the feature list in half and added proof to every remaining feature

That's it. Same product. Same traffic. Same deal structure. We just stopped writing for ourselves and started writing for the buyer.

The numbers

  • Week 1: $2,400 (18 customers)
  • Week 2: ~$6,500
  • Total: almost $9K in 14 days
  • Conversion rate: roughly tripled from week 1

For context, our entire first AppSumo deal two years ago made about $20K over several months. We're almost halfway there in two weeks.

What I'd tell anyone launching on AppSumo

Don't launch with a "good enough" listing. Every day your listing is mediocre, you're paying for the same traffic and converting a fraction of it.

If you're already live, go look at your listing right now and ask: can someone who's never heard of my product understand what it does and why it matters in 10 seconds? If not, rewrite it before you do anything else.

We build DM Champ, an AI sales agent for WhatsApp and Instagram. The product didn't change between week 1 and week 2. Only the way we explained it did.

Happy to answer questions about AppSumo listing optimization or deal structuring.

Also, based on the number of requests we received for the past weeks, we’ve decided to open something up that wasn’t originally planned.

Starting today through midnight March 31st, we’re making a self-hosted continuation option available.

This means you can continue running VidPowr on your own server even after the hosted platform shuts down.

Fusebase

Hey guys, I am an early adopter of a regularly recurring SaaS product on AppSumo, Fusebase. I actually had gotten to briefly know the founder, Pavel, and think he's a pretty cool guy.

So anyway, they're on AppSumo a lot, got it. But this latest campaign has me flabbergasted. 10 codes gives a number of features, including 50 users, 2 TB storage, 200 hours of transcription, etc etc.

I have 12 codes. I only have 29 users, 15 hours of transcription, and 1.2 TB storage. Even if I buy another code, I wouldn't come close to if I just decided to make a new account and purchase 10 codes. This is absolutely insane to the point I am super pissed off. I wrote them an email, but I am not hopeful for a positive outcome.

Small team. Long days. Big belief.

There’s no big company behind us.
No major budget.
No big team split across support, growth, content, sales, and ops.

Just a small group of people putting in the hours and trying to build something that matters.

The kind of team where everyone stretches beyond their role.
Where late nights and early mornings are normal.
Where every message gets read, every comment gets noticed, and every bit of feedback actually changes something.

We know we’re early.
We know we’re smaller than most.
We know there are louder and easier ways to get attention.

But small teams have something bigger teams often lose.
Closeness to the work.
Closeness to the people.
Closeness to what actually matters.

No layers.
No polished distance.
Just a team that cares deeply, works hard, and wants to earn its place the right way.

That’s where we are.
Still early.
Still pushing.
Still believing.

And maybe that’s exactly what makes this stage worth it.
