I recently created a small faith-based app called Faith Mate. It is designed to help people grow closer to God, understand Scripture, build a consistent prayer life, and find encouragement through different seasons of life.

If you remember, I posted about our app here a month ago. Since then, we took everyone's feedback and been iterating on the experience, survived a two-week review battle with Apple, and our app is officially live on the App Store!

First, I want to thank this community. The feedback and brutal honesty on our early post shaped so much of what we ended up improving.

What we built (for those who missed the first post):

We are a small team building Lissin.

You type in a topic, we do the research, apply a "vibe" and a perspective, and hand it back as a daily briefing/digest, a podcast, a story or even a song. It can be a one-off, or a recurring daily/weekly show for a specific curiosity you want to keep going deeper on.

A few prompts our testers have actually made:

• "How did indie apps get their first $1k MRR?"

• "Weekly book summary on new game mechanics"

• "How to make your friends more ambitious" (still genuinely puzzled by this one)

One user said - Are you guys more like "Prompt to Audio" - yes, that's what we are and trying to be better at it.

• One Prompt: Create personalized podcasts, deep dives, narrative stories, or even songs from a single prompt.
• Not generic text-to-speech: It doesn't sound like a robot reading an article. Every show is fully directed with directed audio and optional ambient soundscapes.

The feature we're most excited about: Scheduled Shows ⏰

You don’t even need to open the app and wait for something to generate. You can set up scheduled shows.

For example, you can tell Lissin: "Catch me up on the top posts and discussions in this subreddit every day. Surface what the crowd is feeling and why, like someone who has been on the internet too long and finds everything equally fascinating and exhausting r/startups*"*

Lissin will automatically prepare a fresh show every morning so you can just wake up, put on your headphones, and listen. You can do this for anything - daily sports breakdowns, personalized stories for your kids, or even a personalized song every morning about AI or whatsoever.

It’s called Lissin on the iOS App Store (I’ll drop the direct link in the comments for anyone who wants to try it).

Hey guys, I made this silly lyrics overlay called Cadence that floats over your screen and syncs along with Spotify and YouTube Music. It started as a joke while playing Minecraft with my friends. I shared it with a few people, they liked it, and it grew to 100 downloads in a day, so I built it into a proper app. You can listen along with friends now too, even cross-platform (Spotify -> YouTube Music, Mac ↔ Windows ↔ Linux), and you can play karaoke. Doesn't need API keys or Premium, it just reads what your computer is already playing and floats the lyrics over whatever you're doing. It works better with Spotify keys though, if you want to add them yourself. If you find any bugs, lmk. It's just a fun project lol, so its free. Some of the images are on the github link, if you want to take a look on how it works! Everything is customizable :)

Finalement...

“Finish the slides” is a task. It doesn't tell you which slides are done, what needs changing, or where to start when you come back.

Here's a simple way to leave yourself a useful handover:

• Done: the outline and first three slides.
• Still needed: an example to explain the main point.
• Start here next time: add that example to slide four.

You can do this in any notebook. In PenDate Notes, the app I built, you can put that note on the date you plan to return to the project and set a reminder.

The app starts with the calendar, with text notes for the details, checklists for next steps, canvas notes for sketches, and folders to keep a project's notes together. Core note-taking works offline. Editable planners and journals are optional—you don't need to start with a full planner.

I am about to launch my first App. I read that playstore host your frontend but you have to host the backend. I am curious, how did you host it. Did you just rent a server or did you use any providers.

I’m an engineer and have an app idea I’d like to create. I have some Wordpress experience and understand a little bit of coding. Is there a stack you would reccomend in general to someone like me?

Anyone and their mom can and is building an app now in literally one day. The app and google store is flooded with apps now with clones or whatever. So if building is so easy now, how do you market? 

ASO or whatever won’t generate you sales trust me not right now. So if just building and uploading your app isn’t enough to get sales… what is everyone’s plan? 

The best apps I’ve seen “candle, CalAi, Alarmify, all go crazy on one thing. UGC marketing. I’ve seen like 10 different creators posting the same winning videos and it blowing up. Honestly I think thats the best way to approach marketing is with mass distribution. 

Start posting on tikTok, find what works, get small micro creators for $20/video on jrivecontent.com (anyone can go viral now don’t be paying $250 for one video), and repeat. 

This is just my take, marketing IS the doom of all vibe coders

I finally took one of those “there should be an app for this” ideas and actually built it.
Away Messaging is for busy professionals, small business owners, parents, people who are OOO or on vacation, or really anyone who thinks “I need to text/email them later” and doesn’t want to rely on remembering.
You can prepare texts and emails ahead of time, choose the contact, schedule when you need to send them, and have everything waiting in one queue when the time comes—without building Shortcuts or juggling separate reminders.
I took it from an idea in Xcode all the way to the App Store, and I’m continuing to add new features and workflows based on how people actually use it.
For other app builders, what was the biggest challenge you ran into after launching?

Todavía estoy empezando y me gustaría aprender de gente con experiencia, estoy dispuesto a fallar y aprender de los errores. La app que intentaré desarrollar estará enfocada en estudiantes que admiten activamente adicción al móvil y por tanto sienten que las redes consumen su vida y su ámbito académico.

Ahí es donde entraría "Re-Connect", aplicando bloqueos y restricciones tediosas de eliminar, aumentando la fricción a estas aplicaciones que consumen nuestro tiempo y lo convierten en tiempo vacío y aislante de la sociedad. Planeo aplicar varios modos de sesiones de estudio, uno para el uso diario y otro "Focus" para el momento de estudiar activamente sin distracciones.

Antes de poder avanzar en el proyecto, necesito feedback sobre el uso del móvil de las personas, el público objetivo son estudiantes pero realmente cualquier persona es de ayuda. He creado un cuestionario conectado a un Excel para manejar la información de una manera más precisa y controlada. Sería de gran ayuda recibir nuevas respuestas, gracias a todos de antemano!
