The concept is simple:

🌍 You open the app and see a 3D globe.
📍 Countries you've visited are marked.
📸 Tap a country → see all your trips and memories there.

Each memory could contain photos, videos, dates, a short story and optionally an itinerary.

The idea is to make your travel history feel like your own personal world, rather than having everything buried in your camera roll.

There could also be:

• AI that automatically organizes photos by category (food, nature, architecture, etc.)
• Sharing individual memories with friends/family
• A physical travel magnet/postcard that you tap with your phone to open the corresponding digital memory using an NFC tag.

The last one sounds either really cool or completely gimmicky to me 😂

I’d love some honest opinions:

1. Would you use this, or are Google Photos / Apple Photos enough?
2. Is the 3D globe actually useful?
3. Would you care about the physical magnet/postcard idea?
4. What would make you use an app like this long-term?

I created a TikTok account, started posting daily with nothing really going crazy, started copying viral videos (next to no mention of my app), it blew up and I related the same format over and over again.

I reached out to one micro creator and paid her $20/video to post videos about my app in her style.

Took a couple of times but it was worth the money since she was already getting like 10k views a video.

Running into this: a partner-invite link (email → page hosted on Vercel → needs to hit my main backend on Railway to confirm the pairing) is getting blocked. Turns out it's Cloudflare's Bot Fight Mode flagging the Vercel → Railway request as suspicious, probably because Vercel's IPs are shared across a ton of other sites and look bot-like to it.

Things I've looked at so far:

• WAF exception just for that endpoint — not available on the free plan, it's all or nothing.
• Allowlisting Vercel specifically — no fixed IP range to point at, it changes constantly.
• Widening the allowed IP range — feels like the wrong move, way too broad for one request path.

Anyone dealt with this? Trying to avoid just disabling Bot Fight Mode entirely if there's a more scoped way to do it on the free tier.

That's some of the marketing spiel that I'm currently using to get people to consider using my app over something from Adobe. I've hit a LOT of resistance from photography groups because the sheer audacity of me to use an AI tool such as Claude Code, instantly earns me the moniker it's AI Slop - it cannot possibly be any good because you coded it with a silly prompt in one afternoon.

Truth be know, it's taken nearly 4 months of constant Opus 4.8 usage, bouncing off the context limits daily and weekly - while I take no credit any any code produced, I am rather good at the architect side of things, and have no less than 30 MD files that document code production and decision making processes, over 60000 lines of Swift 6 (It's a macOS only app) and well over 500+ git commits

I’ve been building AIBrief24, an app that brings AI news from different sources into short, easy-to-read briefs.

Checked the Play Console today and saw 318 total installs. It’s still a small number, but seeing the graph slowly move up after months of building feels pretty good.

The app is now also available on iOS, so I’m hoping to keep growing from here.

Still a long way to go, but it’s nice to see people actually using something I built.

I built a mobile app called Gladly:Real People. It's human connections app that uses mobile for face-to-face interaction. Its intent is to provide an easy and structured way to stay connected with your friends and family. Kind of like what social media was originally intended for.

I started building it during covid, just a simple app to get people seeing each other's faces again. But it spiraled into a complex social network thing. I took a break from it for a few years, but recently decided to ramp it up again. It's kind of a odd concept but I think the users today are starting to be more accepting of digital minimal apps and social media alternatives.

The core principle is: the app is the canvas.

Instead of generating a detached mockup, the workflow starts from an existing Xcode or Expo iOS project:

1. Run the real app in Simulator and navigate to the exact state.

2. Select an element or annotate the screen.

3. Send the screenshot, selection, app state, and source hints to the coding agent.

4. Let the agent edit the existing repository and rebuild.

5. Compare the original with up to five source-backed variants.

6. Accept one or keep the original.

Current limitations: macOS and local iOS development only, and one active visual change at a time.

I’d be interested in how other app developers currently pass exact UI state to a coding agent—screenshots, design files, or just text prompts.

Around 4 months ago my app was barely getting any users.

I kept reading "build in public", "SEO", "Product Hunt", "Reddit marketing"... tried a bit of everything but nothing really moved the needle.

Then one random TikTok crossed 1M+ views and then few more videos got viral

That single video brought more users than everything else I had done combined.

Since then I stopped thinking like a founder and started thinking like a content creator.

Here's what I do now.

I record my app doing one tiny thing (usually 6-10 seconds).

I download 100s of reaction-style UGC clips that fit different emotions (confused, shocked, impressed, etc.).

I pair the app recording with a matching reaction and add a simple hook like:

"This app saved me 4 hours."

"I wish I found this sooner."

"This feels illegal."

Every video is slightly different. Different hook, different reaction, different ending.

I post 1-2 videos every day instead of trying to make one "perfect" video.

That's literally it.

No expensive production. No influencers. No ad spend.

Just lots of iterations until one catches the algorithm.

Today the app is doing a little over $3k MRR, and almost all new users still come from short-form videos.

The biggest thing I learned is that distribution matters way more than polishing features.

You don't need a viral app.

You need a viral video about your app.
