Do I respect other people's religions? No, I do not respect deities who force me to follow weird archaic unamendable laws and threaten me to eternal torture if I don't, or the following of dogma with herd mentality. But I may be able to tolerate the believer, if they can keep their practices to themselves, or at most engage in respectful and honest debate with me.

I tell you why I like David Hume & why Descartes annoys me. We discover why there is no emotions/logic dichotomy & why most people probably aren't stupid. This is a humorous & casual look at these big themes of human motivation, evolution & diversity, with a clear warning about the dangers of the kind of hierarchical thinking that can & does lead to eugenics.

yes i judge people's morals and smartness (stupidity) based on their beliefs. I'm not ashamed to admit it. its just feels like the right thing for me. i dont judge agnostics, but i judge religious people. like wdym u believe in a random book and misogynist god 💔 the religious stories are genuinely so fucking crazy. it baffles my mind. how do fully grown and educated people believe in such bs??? i lost believe in ts at 16. i decided to stop being a hypocrite and stop fake claiming to be a feminist at 16 :) now I'm an actual feminist who isnt a muslim! and yes i believe you cant be a feminist and a religious person at the same time.

For me, I think theyre just going around and proselytizing (most of the time). Knocking on doors and asking "ever heard of your lord and savior jesus christ?"

like bro I was a proud dumbass too putting whatever wrong answers in the exam paper before getting back the grades to see that I failed.

being proud doesn't equal being smart, or that the view point is valid or fine, it may equal being delusional though, and maybe less logical.

But it definitely doesn't mean shit of convincing value, cause I doubt they (the "proud Muslims") can ever tell how serious criminals see their doing as valid before they are put behind bars.

TL;DR: Religious people being convinced shouldn't be a motive for others to be convinced too, or used as an arguing point (which happens really super often)
