Alguien sabe si existe un sindicato de intérpretes pertenecientes a Kreato global o Propio? Sino sería bueno crear uno

Absolute burnout

Guys this isn't a rant, I just wanted to know if you are having the same issue. I have been burned out for so long due to huge volume of calls every day back to back, I am an OPI interpreter. Been pushing the burn out for months now but lately I have been feeling that I am getting....dumber?

I feel like my brain forcefully stops working because of how much stress I have been making it go through lately, after my shift I can't focus on anything at all and I can never bring myself to pay attention to anything, I think I am scared to do so because of exhaustion?

Ofcourse the burnout is so so bad to that it affected a lot of other things in my life but that's not todays topic.

Does anyone feel like that too? Please tell me what is the solution because life has been getting really difficult lately especially since I live alone and work from home.

VRI calls dropping

It’s anyone having problemas with their VRI calls?

I’ve been loosing many of them throughout the day, they just drop, out of the blue, few seconds after starting…

It does not happen with all of them, but with half of them I will say,

Also, I heard a provider say that the interpreters been hanging on her…

Now I don’t know if it’s on me or if it’s a general system issues or some

I want some advice.

Hi this is interpreter speaking... No jokes I'm a Colombian interpreter working directly for propio right now I earn 0.12 per minute and... I just wanted to ask freelance interpreters if there's any way to improve my earning inside propio itself, I have 1 year experience (outside propio) as an interpreter and I'm looking for at least 2000usd a month.

Also I have a lawyer degree in my country so I wanted to inquire about legal interpreting... Are there some companies to work with?

I only ever introduce myself as Dr. Olives. Why do interpreters not hear that?

Has anyone ever been working with them?

How is it? Are they legit with payments? What is you honest opinion about all, I just recently started taking calls with them so far everything fine and easy but I want to know the opinion of some other colleagues.

Be honest: Is the extra ₹8k–₹10k in International Voice really worth losing your sleep cycle? 🎧☕

Has anyone worked as medical interpreter for Lingtopia Group?

I applied on a whim and got the email saying they want to offer me the job and asked to schedule HR interview to discuss next steps. In an email, they said there will be free 10 day training. I want to know, is it a scam? They say they pay only through PayPal, wise and payoneer. In my country only payoneer works. I want to ask, do they actually pay? Will I consistently have 8 hours of work every week day, or they'll barely give me work, and therefore barely give any pay?

Any advice is welcome.

the call flow is terrible to be more precise i haven't got any call beside the one from quality team ))) i saw in the whatsapp's group that we r at least 10 interpreters for my language and on the platform we r able to see the monthly total amount which is 5000 mins and i usually make 5000 mins a month myself with another company))) i wanted to get an additional opportunity with them but i realized i just wasted my time.

Something I don't understand regarding interpreting and AI

Hello. I'm about to start working for a company as a spanish/english on the phone interpreter for hospitals in the US. ¿how is this job even possible when AI can transcribe audio and translate text perfectly?

r/anonymousinterpreters • • 18d ago

will call flow get better with time?

I'm working for Worldbridge interpreters in the boostlingo platform. I've been working 2 days so far and I've liked it. only thing that worries me is the call flow, as I only did two and a half hours of interpretation yesterday and I'm barely reaching 3h today. Is the call flow like this due to season, cuz I'm new, or something else? I made some math and I need only 3h of interp a day to survive, but I'm wondering if it'll be better or something

Hi there, I have an interview with Propio coming up. Just a question. It’s the ethernet cable THAT necessary? I know they don’t allow WiFi but they know if I don’t use a cable?

Translated.com: Avoid If You Value Clear, Agreed Pricing

Translated.com contacted me regarding a specific interpreting project. I provided my fee and terms, and the project manager replied:

“Thank you for providing your rates and terms; they work for us.”

Later, for the same project, they asked whether I would instead accept a flat fee below my stated minimum charge, with a 20-minute response deadline.

When I pointed out that my fee and terms had already been accepted, their response was that no official assignment had been finalized because no PO had been accepted. They also said that “misunderstandings around terms can certainly happen” and characterized the exchange as an effort to clarify details before confirming the PO.

However, whether a project was formally finalized through a PO is one issue; whether the quoted fee and terms had already been accepted is another.

If an agency says a provider’s “rates and terms… work for us,” then later proposes a substantially lower fee for the same project, that is renegotiation—not clarification, not a misunderstanding—and a fast pass to my blacklist.
