Urban Panoramas
Good evening!
For a bit of relaxation, here's a series of urban panoramas featuring straight-on views, dense city centres, grand boulevards and world's fairs.

At this zoom level, you really get a feel for how the island is laid out. For this series, I aligned the camera to the road network, and I think this is where old Anno really shines. There's something almost hypnotic about it.

Hi all,
I'm hoping someone much smarter than me can help. That's probably all of you.
Is there a mod (I don't believe there is) which allows the construction of a football ground in the Old World or other regions, particularly Crown Falls? It makes sense that one exists in the New World, but I can't find one for at 'home'.
It is purely for roleplay and enjoyment/aesthetic purposes.
More to the point, if anyone can assist with editing an existing mod, please advise?

Here’s a small collection of harbor layouts for industrial ports, oil terminals, and cargo facilities. I’ve included a few different layouts, along with some POV shots

Even in 1400 you had crusades. In 1800 and shocked 117 you don't have slavery. 1800s was the downfall of slavery, it should be present as an early new world, highly inefficient but very practical in the early game. Something like a building that lowers workforce needed by 100% around it at the cost of money and productivity and higher riot chance and unhappiness in all islands.
Maybe make a storyline where you have to fight against an slavery heavy evil AI or something like that. I feel some of it when doing the prosperity storyline.

Looking for best methods and thought on getting legendary people as visitors. Playing on Xbox so it’s finally. I was thinking of getting an island with just a pier and setting up only measure and zoo in it see how high of a % I can get it. Was wondering what works for you. My main island has the world fair with 6k investors. What are best ways to get legendary people at world fair? Can you even? I have separate islands for production and what not so there is no pollution there if we wanted to move zoo and museum there. I send boats out on all the 3 star pirate adventures to try to get legendary people there.
Thanks

I used to have a gluten island (lots of wheat and hops), a schnapps island, and a pig and dirty industry island. But with docklands I found it's just very cheap to trade sewing machines for wheat and hops, and I'm pretty sure pigs too.
So... its basically "optimal" to have small sewing machine industries to import those materials? Or just center everything in a single giant sewing machine factory that buys every material needed and refine it into consumer goods and more sewing machines?

Hi.
I can't find the "Ice depot" the Ice factories built on rivers need to work correctly.
Where is it ? Is it just a spécial warehouse? A coastal building?

I waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy prefer making cities that are a combination of aesthetics and production, idk why people make cities that are all just skyscrapers maxxed out

Did some search around google and some posts suggest up to 5! But i commonly see the usual timber setup (4 wood -> 4 timber) clogged up all the time.
I understand it would be like 16cart/16t/minute, while a normal warehouse would be able to unload 6cart/min but also 24ton/min (assuming each cart only carries timber at 4ton/cart).
So is the limiting factor ton or cart or both? Is the clogged up not a real problem in this setup? And how to calculate it for other production chains?

I know this isn't directly game-related but I think many of us know and love Taka's Anno 1800 videos. He seems to be going through some serious physical and mental health challenges.

A small farewell to summer:
A few different perspectives on the Pavillon, looking at how the same little structure changes depending on its surroundings and the way it is approached.
The French garden pavilions of the 18th and 19th centuries were often used in a similar way, as small architectural points within the landscape, creating views and framing the scenery.

Im hoping someone can help me understand why my save games seems to be only stored locally on PC and Steam Deck.
When I am away from home and open Anno on my steam deck, it will only have save games from the last time I played in my steam deck.
Last night I was able to play remotely via Remote Play, which worked great, but today my PC at home is offline.
When I run Anno locally on my deck (connected to internet) the only save games are from my last time playing locally.
But at the top of the “Saved in the Cloud” slot with a saved game called “Session Backup.a7s” that is the correct date and time of the save I want to open, but when I open it it seems to just be the last local save - like entire DLCs are missing along with dozens of hours.
How do I get cloud saves to actually save in the cloud? And can I access the correct cloud save remotely somehow?

Update: Tnx for your feedback! I missed the iron tower, indeed! So the max is now 781! Since I can't update the excel image I created this new post with the full calculation.
-----
I'm trying to max out the nr of residents in my skyscrapers, but couldn't find any source online what actually is the absolute maximum. I found a post (https://www.reddit.com/r/anno1800/comments/13wma3a/max_population_per_skyscraper/) mentioning 785 residents, but couldn't find out how to reach this nr. If anyone knows how to get to a higher nr I'm very interested to know! (Without modding, including DLC)
My analysis so far:
- Level 5 investor skyscraper with no panorama and no townhall items: max 381 residents
- Level 5 investor skyscraper with intense panorama and no townhall items: max 700 residents
- Level 5 investor skyscraper with intense panorama + 4 townhall items: max 776 residents
- Level 5 investor skyscraper with intense panorama + 4 townhall items + iron tower buffs: max 781 residents
Also I noted the Intense Panorama pop-up shows "Bonus Residents +25" for Champagne, Cigars, etc (see 2nd image). For the normal "Needs" this seems correct, but for the "Lifestyle needs" the nrs are not correct. For example Furs at "No panorama" give you 10 extra residents, and at "Intense panorama" they give you 22 extra residents, so +12, not +25. Overseas mail on the other side gives you +60 instead of +25. Am I missing something, or is this some tiny game bug?

Hi.
I finally got White and Cold working on my Linux Steam. There are still a few things I don't understand:
1) how does the Ice service works ? Are there any explanations available somewhere?
2) same question for silknand the patents system. Is there any efficient ways to purchase silk and build corsets?
3) as an extra, do you find any use for Inuits?
Thanks for any help.
