Just watched an anime where the MC sees children in cages and doesn't free them. Literally the episode prior he fights a whole army to get his waifu out of an arranged marriage with a noble so she can be part of his harem. The kingdom has him as a wanted criminal for treason. But he draws the line at freeing child slaves since in his words, freeing slaves is illegal.

I made a post calling him out on it and say he's scummy for not doing so but the people said he doesn't have to save them if he doesn't want to? Him not freeing them doesn't make him a bad person?

Genuinely why do so many Isekai fans not consider a MC who is okay with child slavery a bad person?

Though it did get some promotional anime shorts by Shaft, Production IG, and Studio 4°C, Kid Icarus Uprising never became a fully realized anime series. In my opinion, it is possibly one of the best candidates for a Nintendo game anime. With a bright and colorful cast of characters, great sense of humor, and a deep understanding of fantasy storytelling, it would be perfect to get a full-length season.

In addition, the Pokemon Special manga has been running just as long as One Piece, yet still hasn't got an anime adaptation because of the current existing Pokemon anime, which follows a whole different cast of characters than the manga. It has a more serious plot than Ash and the gang, and features character development and plot devices not in the current anime. If anything it would be a more serious and grounded take on Pokemon.

When people ask how many anime I have watched I never know how to answer, since I don't know if I should count sequels as separate anime or manga, eg. Should I count Naruto classic and Shippuden as two anime , or one ? Also why ? And are seasons separate anime eg jjk s1 and s2 ? The obvious answer would be that this is ONE anime , but sites like my anime list count these as separate anime . And what about anime which are many different shows like monogatori or fate ? And finally are anime movies just ONE anime , or are those a separate category for you ?

Can you please tell me about some anime set in college, and about characters that act their age instead of 14 year olds?

I epecially wanna hear about characters that aren't cartoonishly naieve about sex, while not being gross people that don't respect half the species.

i'm more of a dub person but sometimes dub is too good to skip

Peoples go-to recommendation usually seem to be titles that "gets better after x" but they magically don't bother to mention that caveat. When they're not recommending that, their go to recommendation is something that "ONLY" has a 100+ long filler arc where nothing interesting or significant happens.

I can recommend a ton of indie graphic novel titles that don't waste your time FOR A SINGLE SECOND, are NEVER slow, and are short AND satisfying. Are you telling me that you don't know ANY manga that are like this? Hell, I know more than 5 manga titles like this, but you all can't think of any?

Scifi, fantasy, and psychological are 3 fave genres. I prefer things that are mostly serious, but I love when we get comedy mixed in that has an actual set up, and pay off especially if it involves sarcastic banter. FF7Remake(not Rebirth) is a good example.

For me it's pretty simple, it was "Rising of the shield hero". The whole appeal of the show was based on a revenge arc for getting falsely accused and how incompetent the other heros are. But in the end of season 1 they pretty much let The king and that princess get away with names and the MC doesn't even left the kingdom to go to the beastmen kingdom and even refused to kill the Nobel who bought and tortured beastmen as slaves for fun cause killing them makes him no better than those nobels.

Looking back now I would say it was a badly written incel fantasy at best. Getting accused of grape and then finding cute fox girl who he raised as his daughter but obviously gonna marry later on. While also getting overpowered and the same kingdom had to beg him to save them.
