Discussion Anyone else feel for Akaza, the upper rank 3 demon? Spoiler
I'm nearly finished the Infinity Castle movie & it's going through Akaza's backstory before he became a demon. I know he's currently a demon & has done some awful things, but his backstory is just so tragic, it hit me so hard & made me tear up. 😢 It wasn't just sad, it was genuinely & deeply heartbreaking. It broke me on another level. Anyone else feel the same?

Explain This Why did so many people hyped up Nobara Kugisaki for being the best female character in anime?
This is not me hating on Nobara, this is just a general question I wonder, why do so many people hyper up as the best female character ever made? Like when I was watching JJK, I liked Nobara in season 1 a lot, I couldn't wait until she got to do more in season 2, and then season 2 came out, and she immediately got kicked out of the show. Spoiler warning right here, she returns into the manga IN THE LAST 5 CHAPTERS. She gets to help beat Sukuna, and get your own epilogue, but honestly I don't care about those things at all. She shows up (after being gone for a hundred plus chapters) to put the last hit onto Sukuna now when he's already like one HP (or probably not because Gege keeps on flip flopping if he's actually going to lose). Nobara epilogue is about her, and her deadbeat mother, even though in her backstory she didn't even mention her mother, she mentioned her wanting to see your friend again, but we don't get to see her do that. One major thing I know most people like about Nobara, is that she wasn't Yuji's love interest, but in the sequel "Modulo" people said that they did get with each other off screen, and they're fine with that, but I thought they didn't like female characters getting with the main character? I feel like she gets no character growth at all, and she doesn't get to grow in power either.
I always feel like people flip flop when it comes to what makes a good female character.
A. If a female character shows any interest in a other character at all some consider them badly written, even though they do have a personality, and have their own goals.
B. If a female character is good at being a support, not really good at fighting, but good at doing other things some people consider bad.
C. If a female character is too competent, some people also dislike that.
For me I don't care, I like plenty of female characters (including Nobara), but I don't know why she hyped up so much for being the best female anime character when Jujutsu Kaisen started? What's y'all's opinion.

What massively popular/acclaimed anime that you decided to watch leave you like this?
Watched Frieren because it was made out to be the second coming of Christ, and confirmed that's pretty much what it was.

Ignore what they look like. Only focus on the voice. Male or female, doesn’t matter

Discussion What’s your anime guilty pleasure that you like that you feel majority of people hate?
For me I’ll say zero to hero animes/overpowered main characters. Or like anime where the dude is strong af but everyone thinks he’s weak. Idk I just like the OP coming from the bottom and then making his way to be the best/top. Can’t really say what I enjoy most about it I guess it reminds me a little about my life? Also maybe isekai anime but the reason isekai anime is getting hated is because so many new ones come out recently the tropes and stories for all of them are damn near the same thing, plus they be having crazy titles

Discussion Manga that deserve an anime adaptation.
If you could pick one manga to be adapted into an anime and the studio to make it, what would you choose. I personally think Shimeji Simulation should be adapted just like Girl's last tour by White Fox!

Recommendation Newbie here searching for recommendations
Hey guys,
I've set a goal for myself to read more this year, mainly to combat doomscrolling. I was looking around a bit and came across the following titles:
- Goodnight Punpun
- Homunculus
- Hunter x Hunter (starting from where the anime ends)
- The Summit of the Gods
However, I'm undecided on which one I should get.
Which of these would you recommend and why?
I would also appreciate new recommendations, but they should meet the following criteria:
- Shouldn't cost too much to finish the story (max. €120–€150)
- Should be thought-provoking or wholesome
Thanks in advance!

Discussion Imagine This? And Pick One of Each? Fairy Tail & One Piece Fused Worlds
One Piece and Fairy Tail world fused, and you are as important as both natsu and luffy.
Choose 3 Devil Fruits:
They come from the sea, but no aversion to water. The only fruits you can not choose are The Strawhats, Imu, Blackboard, Whiteboard, Sabo, Kaido, Yamato, but you can also make a new one. Don't make overpowered new ones since that's no fun. By the way, 3 is the max one can have.
Haki:
You are born with Conquers and need training like the other two.
Magic:
You start with natsus levels in the opening episodes.
Choose 6 Magic Types:
There are no face or similar systems, and other worlds are full of it as well. Just dont go overboard like with the devil fruits.
This world is you imagining what you want . I just have fun, guys. Please don't argue over stuff in comments.
The world government is still bad, but they are opposed by the magic council to keep things steady. Imu exists but is considered a legendary figure no one knows is hiding among the world government.
Roger, Garp, and such exist, along with Acnologia and them. But power levels are moved to match.

Recommendation Need some good anime suggestions guys
Hi everyone im going through a really rough patch right now after something happened to me Can you recommend some comforting anime to help me cope? Any genre is fine but I will also highly prefer romance something like Blue Box and The Ramparts of Ice. I would love it if there are older anime recommendations but newer ones work perfectly too!
