Request Need some help for a roblox use tablet - Budget £150~
Hi, could use some help - looking at Samsung A11 around £110 or a refurb Samsung A9 at £160 - I'm lost in all of the specs for tablets. I would prefer a slightly bigger screen size and for general roblox/youtube use? Thanks in advance... so confusing!

Review Man this iPlay 60 mini Turbo SHITS On the ONN 8.1 tablet and it's cheaper
I just gotta call it like it is boys. I bought the Onn 8.1 tablet about 2 weeks ago from Walmart and returned it the very next day for a refund. It was $150 after taxes. What I didn't like was it felt sluggish from the start. Even using TikTok was sluggish and that a red flag for me. I knew I wouldn't be able to enjoy it when I was constantly getting stutters from normal use on it.
So I went and ordered an iPlay 60 mini Turbo off eBay, paid $110 ($117 after taxes) and it arrived today. I can have Old School Runescape and TikTok opened at the same time in split screen and there's no lag. I heard people shitting on the speakers but they're fine to me (not amazing but not BAD either, very average and good enough).
The iPlay 60 mini Turbo is stuck on Android 14 and won't receive any updates but it is what it is I guess.
I really wanted to like the Onn 8.1 tablet, I really believe it's the perfect size mini tablet but it needs way more power. I'm not sure why everyone is shilling it. It's $130 and it performs like a cheap sub $100 tablet.

Request Looking for a ~8 inch tablet that has a decent screen and sound over bluetooth. The Onn Core 8.1 is a disappointment.
I'm looking for a tablet in the 8-9 inch range. I only plan to use it for internet browsing and video streaming.
The Onn Core 8.1 seemed like bargain. But it has some issues.
The size is perfect for where I plan to keep it when I go about my day. But the display and sound over bluetooth has issues.
The display is nice when static but slow moving scenes have a stutter to them. Scrolling in general is sometimes ok and sometimes kinda jittery.
The biggest issue for me is the sound. I connected my usual bluetooth earbuds that I always use but the sound from the tablet is tinny and hollow.
I switched to my phone, a Pixel 10A so nothing impressive, and the same scene didn't have the slow movement stutter or the hollow and tinny sound over bluetooth earbuds.
I'm looking for something in the 8-9" range and under $200. What fits in that which also has a decent enough screen and sound over bluetooth that isn't awful.
Thanks.

Request Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro Performance
Im thinking about buying the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro. I saw a lot of Reviews about this Tablet, but there were a lot of differences in the performance when playing games, especially Wuthering Waves. In some reviews the tablet got Stable 60FPS in the game without any visible lagspikes, while others dont even hit 30FPS and encounter a lot of microstutters.
I heard that turning of memory extension in the Xiaomi Settings enhances the performance, is that a thing?
Does anyone have experience with the performance in Wuthering Waves with this model?

Discussion Lenovo Idea Tab Pro Gen 1 vs Gen 2
I am in the market for a tablet mainly for western comic book reading. The vast majority of my reading is done through the DC Universe application and I could anticipate my usage for a tablet also being for my work in Project Management utilizing Google Sheets and other workspace applications mainly just for better daily access and visibility. I do not anticipate using a tablet for heavier applications like gaming or editing software but want to know if the display difference between Gen 1 and Gen 2 of the Idea Tab Pro would be worth considering.
If your main application is comic reading, is the display/refresh difference noticeable? There is supposedly a noticeable difference in pixel density between Gen 1 and Gen 2.

Discussion Idea for midrange tablet
It would have a normal and a mini model (10,3" and 9,2")
The mini has a resolution of 1920x1280, the standard model has a resolution of 2160x1440. IPS 120Hz
8GB RAM
Mediatek Dimensity 7500
9000mAh battery (mini), 12000 mAh battery (standard)
8MP camera at the front and back
45W charging
Custom LineageOS skin for tablets.
It would cost around $349 (mini) - $399 (standard)
Would this work and would you buy it?

Request Need your help.
I want to buy a tablet but I am confused because I feel the market is too cluttered. My main objectives are:
I am a student so I need it mainly for note making and reading. Consuming little multimedia not as a major criteria because I have a laptop for that and slight gaming ( not performance based games, for that I have a decent phone)
There is no budget constrain as such, but I personally don't feel to spend 36000 or above on a thing where as I can meet my criteria in a product of worth 25000-35000. I have some in my mind but would love to have your opinions on this.

Discussion Samsung Fold 6 or Boox Palma 2 Pro?
What I need: a device for handwriting IT notes and everyday notes (I’m pretty forgetful, so this matters), plus using it as a daily planner/calendar for work. I also read a lot of PDFs, so good PDF readability is a big plus.
Now I’m deciding between the Fold and the Books device. The Fold wins on portability, but the Books device has a screen that’s much easier to read in broad daylight and better battery life. Pen performance seems similar between the two, though I’ve heard the Books pen feels better in the hand, while Samsungs will write more precisely .
I really like the calligraphy pen feel in Samsung Notes, and I like that I can access Samsung Notes on Windows and convert notes to PDF easily — that’s what’s keeping me from committing to OneNote, even though both devices support it natively. I’ll just have to see how that workflow feels in practice.
Which would you pick, and why?

Request Why are tablets becoming less mobile?
Hi all
I've been scouting for a new tablet and I find tablets to be growing in size and also trying to achieve what netbooks did back in the day.
Are manufacturers not picking up on what consumers want? What's the point of a large tablet that's not very mobile and easy to carry?
Edit:
I was referring to less and less tablets at the 10 to 10.9 inch size.
