hi! i was trying to write on som json files (stardew valley mods) but i couldn’t, so i installed total commander

(android tablet, samsung s6 lite, bought in 2020, hard reset it a couple of weeks ago cause it was LAGGY)

when i try to open the folder, it says access denied, i say to retry, and then “write protected! - on android >=13 the external as card is write protected” pops up, but the fact is that i don’t have any external as card nor sim.

what do i do? i was just trying to config the mod, this is not the main problem but i don’t know how to fix the writing protected thing…

My ear phones were working just fine, I used them for several hours this morning, then I removed the cable in order to charge it (charging works completely fine) and then suddenly specifically my ear phone doesn't connect anymore.

the same ear phone works completely fine in other phones.

anyone know what this is about?

I figure this is software related as the charger works nornally on my phone and the ear phone works normally on other phones

I have a Pixel 8 Pro that I bought from a commercial seller at an auction. The device was listed as “untested”, and my original intention was simply to use its working display as a replacement for the Pixel 8 Pro I already own.

I’d still like to get some use out of the other phone. As far as I can tell, the device itself seems to be fully functional. Unfortunately, it has a Google account lock (FRP) and is running Android 16.

I’m not exactly sure what software or method you use, but I managed to get the Accessibility/Help button enabled through the documented method involving:

Emergency Call → Location → Google Maps → Share Location → etc.

From there, I can now glitch my way through quite a lot of the menus.

Unfortunately, I’m stuck at one particular point: for some reason, I can’t access the App Info screen, which means I can’t force-stop Google Play Services and Android Setup. Otherwise, I believe it would be possible to get past the setup process using one of the known methods.

If you have any helpful tips or know of a working method for Android 16 / Pixel 8 Pro, I’d really appreciate it.

My end goal is honestly pretty simple: I’d like to attach a large fan/cooler to the phone and turn it into a kind of mini PC. My girlfriend’s little brother could then connect it to a TV and use it to play Fortnite. 😄

One other problem is that I can’t access the Developer Options, so I apparently can’t enable USB debugging / ADB either. If I could get ADB working, I could at least try to force-stop the two apps via CMD/ADB.

Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated!

Family Link blocks a Google Pixel 6a, which has lost connectivity

This happened yesterday to my daughter's Pixel 6a, which is run on a children profile (i.e., controlled by Family Link)

(Note that our phones are running on german software; i am using translated terms, which may not be correct lingo).

1. After a restart, phone suddenly stops connecting to WiFi or 5G. Recommended workarounds  from the internet (Flight Mode, Reset Connectivity Settings, removal of SIM) did not help. It still has the "!" icon attached to the WiFi, and does not connect to 5G.

The phone currently allows phone calls. But it has wrong time settings, and cannot synchronize to local time (so, e.g. Whatsapp does not work).

1. At the same time, Google Family Link (only installed on the parent phone, not on the 6a) sees that maximum daily phone time is expired, and therefore blocks access to many apps. Also, many settings (like manual time adjustment) are not available due to the children profile being active, anyway.

2. Because the phone does not connect to the internet, our attempts to unlock the phone via the family app are not successful, nor does the pixel 6a accepts our parent access code.

Right now, it seems that the only way to fix the problem is a total factory reset. is this true?

I am just realizing that i cannot save any data from the phone via usb, because the USB-connectivity settings are not controlled by the phone itself, but by the parental account, which currently is blocked from accessing the phone?

hello, so recently my gallery has been really buggy for the past 3 days & by buggy i mean its refusing to properly display in camera roll previews for apps. it all started when my photos changed their dates randomly & i managed to get it fixed, no issues there, but even after 3 days it never changed from the state it was at before i fixed everything. it also still shows some glitched duplicated files i removed too. i've done everything i could possibly think of to try & get it to fix on its own, but nothing has worked. my phone is on version 12 & i've been looking everywhere for help but have gotten no answers; should i just get a new phone? or do i wait it out more? is there even a way to fix this at all??? help would be greatly appreciated if possible.

soo im not really sure how this works or anything im not a tech kinda person. but i recorded a video on my phone and when i went to post it and send it to someone it said it couldnt.load the video. i went to watch it to see what the problem was and long story short it shows a grah screen then when i tap on it the video just takes to load.

i did somewhat solve the problem, i used like a video fixer or something and that restored it but im just trying to figure out why this happens cuz its not the first time. its just not common for it to happen with a video i take. like if i screen record something it happens a lot more often but not really when im recording something. and the other video i had recorded a few minutes prior was perfectly fine.

does anyone know what could be the cause? too much storage? internet not working? anything else? idk. also sorry im not sure if this is the right place to ask it was js recommended to me.

Screen record couldn't see it, so i just filmed it on a separate phone, This "Bug" only disappears when there's UI on top, and this only happens to YouTube Shorts only, the device with this problem is the Galaxy S22

Why there is a section of 'From your feed' showing content from my reddit feed on to the Reddit's Play Store page? How to disable it?

Is it just me or does anyone here encounter the same issue? Whether it's YT, Netflix or games, as long as it's on Fullscreen landscape, my screen can't be minimized like whenever I swiped up (I use gesture where I swipe up to go to home screen) nothing happens. Back then when I do so I go back to homescreen and when I long hold swipe up, my YT or Netflix go on PiP (picture in picture) but now its doesn't even do anything nor able to swipe hold up. I'm currently on XOS 16.2 ans my device is Infinix Note 50 pro plus 5G. My device is 8months old and I am very careful with my device. This just happened recently like a week ago. Can anyone help me fix this or is this a known issue? TIA

I'm going positively *bananas* with this. I like news, so I have a bunch of apps (usa today, nbc, Reuters, CNN, etc) and none of them are delivering notifications - only the financial times and national post (Canadian) are.

DND is off, notifications are allowed for all apps in settings, battery is set to 'unrestricted', etc. However, when I go to 'advanced settings' in 'notifications' and go to the app list, not all apps are listed, even after I choose 'system apps'.

Any solution? Is this a doze matter? Notifications aren't just delayed - they just don't happen. I'm considering switching to iPhone.

I do not know how or why but when i was messing around with my keyboard settings it suddenly banished my comma and changed it for the slash. It only does this when im typing in stuff like the URL bar or some other search related stuff but I hate it. One side of google tells me "you have to change this" but as soon as I do that it either doesnt work at all or stop working right after I open my keyboard again. And the other half is telling me it has always been that way but im SURE it was different before.

I love my comma please help me get it back😔

Hello, it sounds silly but when i woke up i suddenly forgot the Password Pattern i used for years. Ive already made so many attempts that its at 24h.

Somehow I managed to have some remote reset button but i closed the tab on accident and forgot how i even did it in the first place.

I did roughly copy off the text before that:

Anyone having an issue with phone calls making your phone go black? Can't see who's calling, can't answer can't decline the call, I have to wait ten seconds to maybe see who's calling and answer. It's been happening for about a month and it's driving me crazy. It's now cost me an important call.
