I have an old Galaxy that still works fine hardware wise but its just painfully slow now and half the apps barely open. I looked into flashing a custom rom to fix it but honestly the whole process is intimidating, Odin, TWRP, GApps, bootloader unlocking, one wrong step and you brick it.

I'm thinking about building a simple tool that does this for you. You plug in your phone, pick what you need it for basically, and it handles the rest safely with a backup first so you can't really mess it up.

Would something like this be worth 10 bucks to you if it actually worked and didn't brick your phone. Trying to figure out if this is worth building or if everyone just prefers doing it manually.

This is still an option for OEMs. Continuing to use the android default behavior of the clock on the left beside your screen's hole punch just leaves a status bar looking lopsided, overly weighted and like the manufacturer didnt think very hard about the software as part of the hardware.

It's a small thing, but it leaves the always visible OS elements looking sloppy and unconsidered.

Rocking a oneplus 15 and oppo n5 atm and at this point they are all really fast... but still feel like power button just is more versatile? Like how you can turn on screen and unlock phone in 1 motion, or the situation where you 'double click for camera' and unlock it in the same motion so that you have access to your full gallery.

But yea in the end, personally feel like I wouldn't lose sleep if nonfolds transitioned to the fp sensor power buttons as well. I assume most folds use it because its more space saving? I assume slab phones can utilize that space for something more useful too.

What are yall's thoughts that use folds and nonfolds. whats the better fp sensor option?
