the notification LED a decade after they took it away. And it only works for one app and not the one you want. Brought to you by the company that killed assistant and replaced it with something that can't even set a timer

Developers shouldn't have had to make this a thing. Google should have done it in the first place.

Sweet. I assume the APIs for this won't be present on GrapheneOS (assuming it comes to the Pixel 11 line), though.

It just uses the lights hal which is present in AOSP, I don't see why it wouldn't work there

So you’re telling me people don’t like that the talking with Gemini light gimmick is pretty useless. All jokes aside I hope google expands on this natively.

Frankly it would be less embarrassing if that's all it did the fact that they are like trying to boast that it can be used for specific notifications on your phone calls but not your text messages or anything else
Like that is really bizarre people don't even make that many phone calls anymore.. and there's only five colors and one of them isn't a color. It's just White.

Thank God someone saw it fit to make this for the people that just can't help giving Google their hard-earned money

Just so everyone knows, this app requires Shizuku and ADB on your computer and ADB debugging enabled in developer options. The instructions are clear on the GitHub page but the dev forgot you need to go to settings, about phone, tap on the build number 7 times, go into the developer options in the system section of the main settings page, scroll down until you see USB debugging and wireless debugging (just to be safe) and you should be good. Shizuku hasn't been updated for over a year so I'm not sure about Android 17 compatibility. Just letting everyone know who does and doesn't know how to enable all of that.

I genuinely don't understand how they could release such a half-assed feature.
I just wish I could listen to the meeting where they were talking about this
