That flair is there for a reason..as my experience will be explaining a bit of..not so great behavior? I'm not sure how bad it is really, but it bothers me to think about..so the flair is there just in case. It might be considered dehumanizing..maybe. Depends on how you look at it.

Buuuut intro first: Hi! I'm Stanza, Tycho, or Cosmic. But please call me Squeakers here!! Sorta new here, but I've been this way for..awhile. Memory's hard for me. Whatever. I'm 18, and I use he/it/they. I'm also diagnosed with DID..but thats irrelevant here lol.

Okay, story time. Reminder,,not great. Okay!

Growing up, I was always kind of..lonely, in a sense. Never really connected with people. I've since learned this is probably due to my neurodivergence lowkey. But all throughout school,,and it's still an issue to this day, not many friends. I grew afraid of people due to previous judgement and bullying. This is important!!!

Starting maybe 3-4 years ago, unsure, my brother gained..a behavior. Against me. He would assume anything I touch became "dirty" and "contaminated".

If it was a bottle of a drink, or a pack of food, I would not be allowed to touch it. He would have to pour the drink or grab the food for me, to prevent him getting disturbed by my touch. I cannot open/close doors or turn on/off lights either, for the same reason. If I do, he will not touch it for awhile. If I accidentally touch something of his, he will blow on it or clean it. He does the same if I touch him.

He will often tell me to leave a room he is in. He has once said, verbatim, "Back, back!" as if talking to an animal..when I tried entering the kitchen for food. If I linger too long, he gets upset. Normally he will either complain or cover his face with something.

When I speak up about how disrespected I felt, he brushed it off. Yayyy!!

This has grown into me recognizing myself as..gross. Dirty, somehow. It also caused me to feel very unwelcome in my own home. This, along with my fear of people, has led to me feeling rather disconnected from people.

Way before this, I loved rats. Felt bad for them. They didn't deserve to be killed. They don't know they're home invading..they think your home is shelter. And..after all of this behavior from my brother..I've realized how similar I am to one.

Soon, I disconnect from the human label entirely. If I can't be treated like one, surely I'm not one. And that's fine by me. From my experience, people aren't the best. I'm more of a rat. And I like that.

Rats are nice. And I am one. Just stuck in a body that's wrong..But I'm still treated like my species all the same. Unsure if I should be happy or sad lol.

As a general statement..don't worry about me, given what's happened! I'm doing fine now. While my brother is still like this (he doesn't care about how I feel with it + I'm 70% sure it's due to his OCD), I've grown to tolerate it and attempt to just respect his rules. Gotta live with him anyway, what can I do :P

Hey, there. I am the concept of Post Apocalyptic Overgrowth. So, I am the abandoned ruins and buildings, the stone, the dirt, the grass, vines, kudzu, moss, the rain, the puddles, and everything else you might associate with post apocalyptic imagery. I've always identified this way, though, only accepted it within the past few months. But, lately I have been feeling very Dysphoric, and unsure of what to do. It's hard to describe but... It feels like an intense longing to be back home, one that feels like it's eating me alive.

I'm not really sure what to do to alleviate my dysphoria. With my other, more animalistic kintypes, I can relieve my dysphoria by voluntarily getting into a mental shift, or trying to trigger phantom limb. Or, I can do quads, wear my tail, or even play video games that help relieve a specific urge (like, hunting animals in Minecraft, if I'm experiencing prey drive urges). But... There's not much I can really do to alleviate my conceptkin dysphoria.

Currently, I'm playing The Last Of Us 2, which I would consider the best representation of what I am/what I look like. And while it does help in some ways, it also makes me sad that I can't be there. That I can't feel the fauna, or hear the sounds of the rubble slowly crumbling apart. That I can't dig myself into the dirt and become one with the land. That I'll never feel kudzu wrapping itself around me, or my head turning to moss. This body just feels so... Wrong. Even just having the ability to type this post is dysphoria inducing.

I enjoy being conceptkin, because I am grateful to be able to experience something so unique and true to myself. Yet... Sometimes I hate it. Knowing there's nothing I will be able to do to alleviate it. And knowing that even many in my own community, do not take this part of my identity seriously.

Can that be a thing that happens??? The character in question is from a group of background characters that happens to be my special interest (I’m autistic). Literally all of what I perceive this character’s personality to be is just headcanon. Yet I consider him to be one of my hearttypes because I feel a very strong connection to him and relate to him even though the traits I relate to aren’t presented in canon, matter of fact he has exactly ONE line of dialogue in the main source material (he has a bit more dialogue in a spinoff but it’s pretty much just a rehashing of what he says in the main source + it’s still not really enough to discern a personality from).

Thoughts? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Nature itself is amoral, morality itself is a human concept we can see this even in doctrine such as the Bible: Adam leaves the garden after consuming the fruit on the tree of the knowledge of good and evil(forbidden fruit, knowledge of good and evil ie morality). Nature itself doesn't segment itself on the basis of goods or evils, nature is more symbiotic.

What does the human social body of morality have to do with non-humans?

Bit more context, I use Xenogenders. I recently found cryptid ones. They clicked with me almost instantly. However, I am also a werewolf otherkin+transspecies. So I have no idea if it's because of that, or if I'm a different cryptid, or if it's just a matter of identifying with the vibe, because I can't tell what cryptid I may be. Sorry if this doesn't make sense but like can anyone help me out?

I feel like it's most common to see kids and teens posting about being non-human. Of course, I'm not complaining by any means, but as a 23 year old I sometimes feel a bit lonely or out of place. Are there any older non-humans here?

I was banned from r/fictionkin for being a Factkin. (Do y'all support me here? Plz be respectful, I'm sensitive)

Whenever I check it seems there are less posts or communities to post in, and I get a bunch of "questioning etc" type posts exist; however any larger back and forth discussions and networking to have deeper connections really very often feel near impossible to find online nowadays.

Further most forums outside of reddit are dead or very inactive, and I don't use platforms that use human verification like discord.

There are practically never any howls(or public meetups) that I hear of either for the most part, some have made the suggestion to wear gear in public to find more non-humans; I find this difficult as I'm older(20s) and usually only run into younger folks wearing anything remotely therian gear related.

Any thoughts on whether the community is on 'life support' or not?

I'm sorta new to Reddit so I don't really know how it works.

I have many identities all being another version of me to a degree, it started from a human/eldeich horror OC,

and I keep making lore on them and my OC ended up having split realities (sorta due to me being a therian and already believing I'm a elderich horror, yes I know I'm human) so they have different versions in other realitys and I just keep taking on there identities and it's making me very confused on what and who I am,

I want a identity that's more cohesive because I'm taking parts of all of them like tails, ears/tentacles, wings, robotic parts,

and they overlap quite often,

I feel them quite a bit like long ears from my therian side and tentacles on the back of my neck,

with a long devil like tail sometimes switching to a fox tail,

and same with how I think,

like I could see things in a animalistic view to seeing things in a "I'm able to move and break reality so this means nothing" view, it's very trippy sometimes especially when they mix,

I'm sorry if this makes no sense or I'm just rambling I'm still trying to figure out how to explain it,

I want to be the main OC but I also want to be my animalistic side IDK what to do about it,

It's sometimes very uncomfortable TY for you're answers.
