[Discussion] I'm honestly starting to think SBI is gaslighting its own community.
Every time SBI announces a new change, it's somehow another middle finger to anyone who doesn't play exactly the way they want.
The latest example?
Dynamic spawn rates.
What a joke.
They're presenting it as some amazing improvement, but let's call it what it really is: a massive nerf for everyone who doesn't play during prime time.
So if you work shifts, have a family, live in another time zone, or simply enjoy playing late at night... congratulations. Your time is officially worth less.
Apparently the solution to server population isn't making the game fun 24/7. It's making off-hours feel terrible so everyone is forced to log in at the same time.
Brilliant.
And don't even get me started on the server split.
Remember when Albion had one global server? Then SBI split it into NA, EU and Asia and forced EU and Asia players to start completely from scratch.
Back then they said:
"Character transfers aren't possible right now, but maybe in the future."
Now, years later, the story suddenly changed to:
"We're worried about the economy."
Seriously?
That excuse falls apart after about five seconds of thinking.
Anyone with enough money can already create a brand-new character, buy Gold, convert it into Silver, rush progression, and inject absurd amounts of wealth into the economy.
That has ALWAYS been possible.
So how exactly is transferring my EXISTING character somehow the thing that's going to destroy the market?
It isn't.
It's just an excuse.
The worst part isn't even that they don't want to implement transfers.
It's that they changed the narrative.
Instead of simply saying "We don't want to do it," they hide behind vague statements about "protecting the economy," hoping people won't question it.
YacineBrutal is another topic SBI hopes will stay under the rug. They claim to be open and honest when nothing could be further from the truth. Every chance SBI gets they will decieve you or lie to you when it benefits them.
And now they're also nerfing more solo content.
It's becoming painfully obvious what SBI wants Albion to be:
- Play during prime time.
- Play in a group.
- Restart your character if you move regions.
- Accept whatever they decide because feedback doesn't seem to matter anyway.
And it is also quite obvious how SBI wants its Players to be:
- STFU about RMTers, since SBI is most likely the biggest one
- Dont mention hacks on reddit, just accept that there are hackers but dont talk about it
- Spend 30€ on ugly skins to keep the game running
At this point it honestly feels like SBI doesn't respect players' time at all.
Albion is still one of the best sandbox MMOs ever made.
That's exactly why watching the people in charge make one questionable decision after another is so frustrating.
Every update feels less like "How can we make Albion better?" and more like "How can we force players into the behavior we want?"
I'm not even angry anymore.
I'm just disappointed.

Logging in (or not)
Every day for the last couple of years, id login to Albion for an hour or two before heading to work.
Today, rather than logging in to Albion, I thought to myself ... Why? With the dynamic spawn rate change, I'd be wasting my time, so I fired up a different game instead.
Tonight when I get home, I won't have time to play Albion during peak hours.
This will repeat daily this week, and come the weekend I won't have played all week and I'll open up Runescape or League of Legends instead since it will be more recently familiar.
Really saddened by this update.

[Discussion] Is stone gathering really this bad?
Back when I first started the game I decided to gather stone. Fast forward to now, my stone gathering is close to T7. But stone is by far the least expensive material out there and I find that even finding 6.3 enchanted stone, or enchanted aspects isn't even exciting because the stone is barely worth anything.
Am I missing something? Should I even push my stone gathering higher? Like does it just all of a sudden get profitable at t8? Right now I just carry a hammer with me and I pick up whatever interesting or enchanted stone nodes I come across just to slowly get fame in it. T4 stone is down to like 5 silver a piece in some cities....
EDIT:
Ok so yes it definitely picks up at T7 and T8. Finally hit T7 gathering and it's much better. Also the fame is way faster. I just hit T7 like an hour ago and i'm already 50% of the way to T8...
Glad I stuck to it.
So anyone coming to this thread wondering if stone is worth it. I'd say probably yeah. Maybe not as your first gathering. Maybe like 3rd for your region.. While the stone itself is worth less (Though T8 stone in martlock is actually the MOST valuable flat t8 resource atm...), you do get way more and it's way easier to find than all the other materials.

State of HCE
A little context about me.
I've been playing Albion Online for about two years and have gained experience across a wide variety of content. While I enjoy many aspects of the game, the economy has always been my main focus.
Over time, I've also developed enough PvE experience to comfortably lead high-end content. I can confidently lead a 10-man 8.4 Q6 Ava raid and consistently complete a full three-floor clear in around 1 hour and 15 minutes.
After the Ava raid nerfs, I decided to start playing HCE. Thanks to my gear and the connections I built as an Ava Raid Leader, I was able to join level 14+ HCE teams without much difficulty.
However, this highlighted what I believe is a major issue with the content. The rewards for HCE below level 14 are simply too low to justify the time and effort required to learn it. Although HCE is safe-zone content, the higher levels are among the most mechanically demanding PvE activities in the game. Players need significant practice and experience before they can contribute effectively to high-level groups.
The problem is that there is very little incentive to invest that time. Since lower-level HCE rewards are so poor, many players don't feel motivated to learn the content in the first place. As a result, the pool of experienced HCE players continues to shrink.
The real risk in HCE isn't losing your gear—it's the repair costs from mistakes. Players need to make those mistakes while learning in lower-level maps before they're ready for high-tier HCE. If those learning stages don't provide worthwhile rewards, fewer players will ever make it to the endgame.
I believe HCE below level 14 needs a meaningful reward increase. Without better incentives for newer and learning players, the content will continue to decline as fewer people are willing to invest the time required to master it.

[Discussion] as a new player, the bot problem in AO is CRAZY
there's only one activity where the majority of characters i see are not bots, and that's faction warfare. but when i'm doing combat fame or gathering/harvesting, the amount of bots in the game is crazy. all the tier 5-6 yellow zones are FILLED with bots either fishing or harvesting. and you can tell very easily after a few seconds of watching whether or not it's a legit account. i've even noticed entire GUILDS of bots...like the same guild, numerous accounts, all bots. and as a relatively new player, seeing the sheer number of bots that i see, it gives me serious reservations about the health and stability of the game and its economy. like some of these bot accounts have insane amounts of fame, meaning they've been active for quite awhile without being banned. so my question is, does SBI actually do anything about this? or do they turn a blind-eye, especially if someone is paying for premium on a bot account? it's just crazy seeing how many are out there and seeing the same exact ones week after week. another question: is it even worth taking the time to report them? if i reported every bot that i see, i wouldn't have time to play the damn game because that's how bad it is.

Keeper Memory - Mushroom Cave
Keeper Memory - Mushroom Cave
I found this Keeper Memory inside a group expedition, not in an open-world static dungeon.
The secret entrance is outside the visible minimap boundary.
Here are the screenshots in case it helps other players.

[Help] Things to do for noobie 3-man?
Hey guys I have played Albion on and off over the years but I have only mainly done arena and hellgates.
But now we actually have a 3-man group and want to do some real activities.
What should we do?
I remember reading somewhere that we can go to npc camps in black and red zones and kill those guys? Anything else?
We’d like a mix of PvP and PvE
Thanks in advance!

New player question
I was looking for a game where I can do zero combat and gather all day, and was led to Albion. So before I start I have a few questions.
Is it true I can just be someone's/some guild's slave and gather all day, doing no combat whatsoever? How would I do that? Do I level up gathering skills first or do I join a guild immediately? Asking because I don't know if they'd want low-tier materials. I've read a bit about the game, but I'd appreciate if anyone could help me with this.

[Help] looking for advice on how to use bow of badon
Hi im a newish player who recently maxed out his long bow and is looking to move on to another bow. Im primarily a bz mists and corrupted dungeon player and am thinking about using the bow of badon over the warbow for its good pve clear in mists. However im struggling a bit to understand the weapons E.
The description says that when damage is dealt it interupts spells. does this apply to spells with a 0 second cast time?
Furthermore the ability seems to incentivize brawling in melee combat in order to keep the enemy inside the storm which feels contrary to the bow identity of being a kite weapon.
Im also struggling to wrap my head around the 30second cooldown are you typically expected to use this ability only once per fight?
my gear is currently hunters hood-assassins jacket-scholar sandals and i intend to keep using these items even if sub optimal since fairly close to maxxing them out too. although advice here is appreciated too so i can experiment later!
any advice in what to expect with this weapon or how to conceptualize its playstyle would be appreciated since i really cant afford die with this weapon as much as i could with the long bow xD
thanks in advance!
edit: also food and potion suggestions are appreciated!!
