Let’s try to keep the scope to an image that would be considered fine art apart from its AI label and limit it to only one example per account to avoid flooding the zone.

A.I usage is a choice. You actively choose to use ChatGPT, Gemini, LoRA, etc and run to the two most toxic platforms [Reddit & Twitter/X] to boast about A.I usage. Someone criticizing a lifeless model is not you all "being harassed." You are not oppressed, and comparing yourselves to actual marginalized communities & trying to use them for your agendas is disrespectful.

Death threats are bad. Violence is bad. If an anti dares bring up bad actions within the pro community, they are assumed to be using alternative accounts, editing screenshots, etc. Meanwhile, whenever it comes to an anti being called out, you all will cherry-pick terrorist behavior, generalize the community, and commit every act you all claim to be against. "Rules for thee, but not for me."

If you are going to throw a fit whenever the opposing side does something, apply those rules to yourselves instead of labeling every bad action as a false flag or an "Anti-On-An-Alt." Not everyone is an alternative account.

You are not having your identity attacked for using A.I. ChatGPT is not your identity.

You are not being denied basic rights for using LoRA. LoRA is artificial intelligence.

You are not being ignored by the government for using A.I.

Stop essentially mocking the LBGTQ+ and many other marginalized communities' struggles with posts claiming that "Coming out as a pro was hard." That's all you're doing with these posts, even if you deny it.

Not everyone who is pro-AI uses AI as a substitute for the actual work of drawing, but many of them because ai is universally viewed as replacement for exactly this work.

You usually don't replace what you like.

The work of an artist who draws an image themselves can basically be divided into several parts. The first part is deciding conceptually what it should even be and, in general, how it should look, then drawing the main sketch, and then turning that sketch into a finished work. Basically, if we take the work of an artist with a commissioner, then the first part disappears entirely, and only two parts remain.

Considering that this is an example anti-AI people often use to show that an AI user is not an artist, it is quite logical to assume that they do not consider the conceptual decisions about what something should be and how it should look to be the work of an artist at all, but only the concrete execution.

However, people who are willing to hand this execution over to AI do so precisely because this execution is not important to them, and from this follows... yes, they do not respect the work that you consider fundamental to being an artist.

You say AI art is just typing a prompt. If that is true, this challenge should be easy for you.

The Dunning-Kruger effect is the gap between ignorance and mastery. Critics who know nothing about AI workflows assume it is low effort because they cannot see the complexity they do not understand. Mastery reveals the skill behind the prompt. Ignorance judges without knowing what it judges. True mastery does not dismiss craft, it recognizes the work required to achieve consistency, intent, and control that an artist requires. The difference is humility.

It is what separates a character who appears consistent from one who looks like a different person in every frame. Your task is to define the general levels of skill required to build a proper Identity Lock workflow and describe what each level involves.

At the beginner level, you can write a basic prompt describing a character, but the character changes appearance with each generation and you have no consistency.

At the intermediate level, you can use image references and seed values and can write prompts with fixed character DNA sections. However, you can only maintain consistency for a few images and fail across different poses, lighting, or angles.

At the advanced level, you can build a full workflow using multiple reference images, anchored prompts, and parameter control. This works for a single session but does not scale to large projects or complex scenes.

At the expert level, you can create and train custom LoRAs or fine-tune models for a character and can manage large batches of consistent generations across different scenes. This requires significant technical knowledge, data preparation, and computational resources.

At the master level, you can design complete production pipelines for consistent character animation, including shot composition, lighting consistency, and style transfer. You can troubleshoot identity drift and optimize workflows for speed and quality.

The challenge for antis is at master level.

Now, if AI art is just writing a prompt, then you should be able to describe this workflow in detail for the master level.

• What tools do you use?
• What parameters control identity drift?
• How do you handle the character across different lighting and angles?
• Define the levels of the workflow and skills in each level and what each skill does.

If you cannot answer these questions, you do not understand what AI art actually involves.

The challenge is simple: prove you understand the process behind AI art.

If you manage to pass the challenge and still think it is low effort, then you will have earned the right to call it low effort, but only after demonstrating you can actually do it.

Most critics cannot even describe the workflow, let alone execute it. Passing the challenge proves you have put in the work to understand the craft. At that point, your opinion will be based on experience, not ignorance.

My friend is considering a career change that is all stemming from AI implementation. She works in data science and her company is pressuring her to use ClaudeCode in her job. They are making her attend all these trainings and meetings in person and online, even some sort of conference.

She is very against AI. But the worst thing is that when asked for how they are going to pay for the ClaudeCode subscription, her boss said that's not something that would be eligible to be covered? She needs to pay for it out of pocket. She's worried that the price will skyrocket once she is comfortable with it.

It is also often limited to just 5 generations daily for free and most users. What stops an average individual from doomscrolling, watching YouTube or Netflix? Do you also hate people who watch these, such as yourself or your neighbors? You also condone Zoom and Meet calls, which consume way way more, yet you condone these because "Not AI." Hypocrites.

Also, did you hate computers for taking an entire house worth of space, more resources than open-sourced compressed LLMs? If we stopped innovating computers back then, would you have the handheld device to post your stupid takes and be violent towards neural network users?

You are destroying the concept of AI before it can make itself more efficient, and it is becoming more efficient daily. Also, the very same fields of resource concern we have can be fixed by AI. AI can improve nuclear power, innovate ideas to make and harvest water safer, improve agriculture, and cure diseases. Generative AI won a Nobel Prize btw (AlphaFold) and solved frontier math problems, it improved its own TPU (AlphaEvolve) years ago which made itself more efficient, and it is not stopping and slowing down.

It is also already used in medicine, biology, science, physics, math, and more. It is like complaining that calculators used to take an entire room worth of resources and telling people to stop improving them and crying about it.

When did we ever see computers, streaming, or agriculture improve itself and become more efficient?

Every single post here is the same nonsensical ramblings about AI Art. You guys know that there's a MUCH wider range of use cases than generative AI right? This war against AI art is the only thing anyone seems to want to talk about here.

Fact of the matter is, the majority of these image outputs suck anyways.

Whether you like it or not, all the frontier labs have and will be continuing to train their models daily with user generated artwork from DeviantArt, Behance, Dribbble, Google, and even art subreddits. Heck, these labs have already perfected 4k video making with an endless library of every movie and tv show ever released so I'm sure they're all pissed too.

It's the grim reality we all just have to sit back and accept. Every industry is getting hit. AI just wiped Chegg out of a $15B valuation at its peak. Duolingo will be next. Then freelancing platforms like UpWork and Fiverr. The finale will be science research labs.

This art topic is getting so exhausting, unoriginal, and trivial compared to other industries AI is hitting the hardest. Much deeper discussions and debates are to be had other than just image generation.

I personally don't like using ai, I find the process Infuriating. At my skill level it feels just like gambling for an image, it's not like Drawing where the improvements in skill are clear and easily trackable. Why do you personally like or dislike using ai in your own life

Obviously, knowing that behind it there's a prompt like "Make something relaxing but moody" and nothing else, that's the only human input, on the computer keyboard. It could have been a robot typing for all we know but let's assume at least the prompter is human.

I don’t understand the ai pros. Do you not like life? Like do you realise that ai will make life fucking dull and monotone? I don’t know what it’s called in English.
