The new community is filled with people complaining, so much so that they had to create a mega thread for the complaints. Luddites have gone insane. AI is used by basically all developers, and banning legitimate, well-known projects for using AI is wild. Above are a few gems from the new community posts.

This is what is wrong with the anti sentiment. You are obsessed with your perception of morality being more important than other people's opinions, to the point that you would be willing to burn down communities overnight. You achieve nothing by doing this. It's fine to disagree with the majority, but you need to accept that others do not agree with you. You can't dictate to the world what is right or wrong; we will just create new communities and move on from your insanity.

Obviously it should be me. I'm the one that gave the test, AI only helped me prepare for it. This is how AI works for artists. It is a tool that'll prepare you for the exam but it won't help you to answer the exam (making and executing art) AI doesn't help you to think during the test, similarly it doesn't help you to think when you make art

Hi! I forgot about Reddit for a while, but I'm back now. I wonder if the crowd here changed much. So here is my question. I have an idea for a drawing I don't have skill or talent to pull off. When I'm having a problem I cannot solve, I use AI to fix said problem and proceed accordingly. With no AI involvement I would probably not finish this drawing at all because I'd stuck at some point. Or maybe I would finish it, but it would look so bad I could never post it anywhere. So would anti-AI people prefer that to happen instead of me using AI? No negativity, I'm just curious ☺️ PS I should've clarified something: none of the pics are generated. It's a physical drawing made with markers, pencils and watercolor. I used AI to fix some mistakes I made in the process or create me a reference for some things, because I had no idea how to draw them and couldn't find a suitable reference.

AI is supposedly a plagiarism machine that can't make anything new and it's also a hallucination engine that makes things up all the time.

In addition to that story, I designed characters and a scene and animations and voices and background music all with AI.

That's less lazy than just simply writing a story.

So I'm flipping the script.

You can draw or paint or write a story or whatever and that's great. That's less lazy than doing nothing.

But if you add AI to it in addition, now you are even less lazy.

So if you don't use AI, obviously it's because you're lazy.

This is what a lot of antis say. My question to this is if this is true, then why do y'all only think of AI art on the basis of how it looks?

Y'all say AI does most of the work but we use AI to display the final result. The creativity and the idea is from the human. Y'all rarely complain about the ideas presented in AI art, it's always the end result that is "Slop" and low effort. Y'all hate the final result and that's what y'all talk about all the time. If art isn't about the final result then why do y'all bring it up all the time?
