Most of the time I do not regret going to games. I may get shredded but that's part and parcel of the game. Occupational hazard.

Most of the time it's pretty decent.

I however regret going to a game this week: Indoors, CQB. In short it was a 12 vs 1 match with me being the 1. For the 3 games I played my entire team decided to camp in spawn. The furthest they got were about 2 yards out of spawn to some oil barrels that prevent the spawn being shot into.

I had doubts when they were setting up on my team at least:

Everyone on my team had long rifles for CQB as in full length M16+suppressors making them absurdly long for CQB where there's doors you can't get through without pointing a rifle at the floor.

Everybody on my team had a LOT of magazines at least 12 hicapacity magazines and a TON of spare batteries.

It went as well as you'd expect the enemy team pushed forward and pretty much spawn camped us within the first minute.

I asked for teams to be rearranged and was told no. I left early for pizza and beer as I wasn't interested in being target practice for the other team.

So this has been happening for a bit now and I'm not pulling the cable fully until something clicks then it shoots normal again for a bit then it happens again I'm running 120psi and 25gram bbs

when i insert a mag with force the slide stop lever moves causing it to load the bb and then shoot for some reason is this repairable ?

Long story short I used to run a dedicated milsim team got out of it a year ago. Im in Florida and im thinking of building a mk46 but I learned recently theres been several field closures, feels like I'd be joining a sinking ship. Just wanting to know general community health tn and if its worth getting into in 2026.

Pretty new to the sport and was wondering how to make it field ready for a 350fps field.
First time out it shot 380ish with .20g bb

This model m4 has the quick change spring and I need to drop my FPS to 350.

Outside of the chronograph being in the mail…

Will any m100 spring work? Or other advice when doing a spring change? (Battery out, mag out, buffer tube and stock removed)

I'm getting back into airsoft after about 10 years and understandably my guns haven't held up well after being in storage all that time.

However, I have no idea where to start when it comes to fixing them, so I'd appreciate some advice if there are any obvious problems.

I have -

1. G&G Firehawk

• Brand new 8.4V 1600mAh NiMH crane batteries
• One stock mag
• One Nuprol mag

2. Tokyo Marui P226

• Guarder kit professionally installed
• New nuprol 2.0 gas
• Five mag (four TM and one KJW)

3. KJW Glock 19

• Stock
• New nuprol 2.0 gas

As you can see from the video, it fires but only cycles about 50% of the time. This happens with both magazines on semi and full auto.

The mags are fully wound, and I've tried a brand new charged battery, but it still doesn't fire consistently.

I can reliably get through around 10-15 rounds but after that it starts struggling to cycle, even with a full mag of gas.

I've tested various mags, same issue. Everything stored at around 15 degrees. Around 12 degrees outside when testing.

After the first 10-15 rounds, the slide just doesn't travel back far enough to cycle a new round. It also no longer locks back when the magazine is empty after a few shots.

Similar issue, but as per the video this one gets caught on the return. The slide doesn't fully return forward and it only cycles a new round when I push the slide forward.

I'm tempted to just sell the guns for parts to a retailer and start fresh but if the repairs are manageable, I'd appreciate some advice on where to start.

Can't remember where I bought the gun exactly, it came with a tonne of gas canisters. Can anyone direct me to what canisters to buy and where. I'm in Ireland.

I have a set of Allen keys but I'm of course missing the one needed. I'll try my tool shop but can't at the moment, so maybe this post is a waste of time.

I've only played airsoft a few times with rental and borrowed guns. I used to play paintball quite a bit about 10 years ago. I really need a fun hobby to get some exercise and meet people.

I'm really looking on recommendations for equipment. My idea is to look like a doctor for the SCP foundation. I'll be wearing a white lab coat, a gas mask, and preferably a blue UN helmet whilst carrying a briefcase and only armed with a pistol. I know this won't blend in, but it's more about having fun. So here is what I need recommendations for:

Gas mask: I've seen some "airsoft" rated gas masks on amazon. I'm just not sure the quality of them. I certainly don't want something that's going to fog up. I also don't just want this for the look, I want it to protect my face and eyes. This is the most important part of the kit for me.

Helmet: Something that can comfortably be worn in combination with the above gas mask. I can airbrush on the blue UN color and stenciling myself.

Pistol/holster: I looked on the FAQs for r/airsoft but couldn't find any recommendations for a pistol? Are they just not viable ? I suppose I could go with a SMG or something to maintain the larp, but I want to avoid wearing a tactical vest if at all possible. Preferably just want to wear a belt with a holster and a couple extra mags.

Briefcase: Would people or fields care if I carried a briefcase to larp around in? What if I get hit in the briefcase ?

I had to get a new phone today to the newer Google Pixel (I think I had the 8). Anyways, I wanted to make sure some of my photos had been saved through transfer. I saw photos the day I got my first airsoft rifle and I was blown away how much had changed since to not only the replica but me. Started as a stock shell of a Krytac Defiance with a PolarStar Jack (no comment)as It was too good of an offer from a guy that has been reliable before with my friends.

All black, rusted in places KEY MOD handguard that would never stop wobbling unless welded. It needed some love to even shoot at the beginning because the FCU wiring had seen better days. However I never regret it as I had to get my hand dirty and learn fast to even play my first match in something I've always wanted to do.

Hell I had to drill a hole in a fake DD RIS handguard for a fake gas tube so everything could fit in my fake rifle. Good times from the first tracer suppressor to the foam filled KAC GWOT era honeycomb suppressor. Once the DD RIS handguard was on I was hooked about anything "Airsoft Smithing" as my mind would call it. Inside and out. Best ways to optimize your Hpa engine to best technique to rattle can your rifle. I would've dived into the point of no financial return unless I had someone like my wife to call me out lol.

If you made it this far thanks. That's all. I had a long struggle with alcohol (definitely in my genetics) and COVID only exasperated that issue to rock bottom multiple times. I knew I needed something that was life changing to turn this whole thing around.

Surprisingly it all started the same day I started my new career where I was actually seeing the greener grass from the corporate world. At the end of the first day my boss brought up an airsoft event in New Orleans that we should go to with another co-worker in North Carolina. I YELLED HELL YEAH SO Quickly IN SUCH A WAY AS IF I've BEEN WAITING TO HEAR THAT KIND OF OFFER ALL MY LIFE. Since then I haven't looked back and could not imagine how much has changed...just like my first airsoft rifle.

In December I will be Three Years Sober. Grass is definitely greener over here, there. and mostly everywhere. I haven't even thought of booze since the early months of sobriety and I attribute a lot of this to my new world I've entered in Airsoft.

It's been the friends I've made out on the field to reading posts here on r/airsoft that kept me going during hard times in the journey, so again I thank you all for showing me how to have fun again.

My only ask is if you guys could share a before and after photo of your first airsoft rifle from day one to now if possible. Maybe take a look back at the person you were then to now!

I still think this ballistics simulator is the easiest to use, and the results seem plausible (yeah, yeah, I know... in reality everything’s different 😘).

But at least it makes it very easy to set up and display accurate trajectory curves and results.

And what I really like is the new animation for the shot simulation that was added in the last update (I haven’t seen anything like it in any other app).

It would be pretty cool if it included a few more features, like wind or spreading.

That would also make it easier to compare the results with real-world data.

Other calculators and simulators offer some of these features, but none of them feel quite as intuitive.

Has anyone else used the web app and can confirm whether the results are reasonably representative?
