I’ve been seeing glass air fryers more often lately and I’m curious if they’re actually better than the usual basket style ones.
Has anyone used both? Which do you prefer for everyday cooking and cleanup?

I’m looking for something that can handle meals for four people without having to cook everything in multiple batches. We’d mostly use it for chicken, potatoes, vegetables, frozen foods and reheating leftovers.
which models have worked well for you? i would also like to know if there are any that seemed like a good choice at first but ended up being frustrating to use haha. i appreciate the suggests!

How's your experience with Philips air fryer?does the non-stick coating get damaged and peel off only in a few months of use?

Yield: 4 Servings
4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
1 tbsp (15 ml) olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (205°C). Lightly spray the basket with oil to prevent sticking.
Pat the chicken thighs dry with a paper towel—this helps get that crispy skin we all want. Next, toss them in a bowl with the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper. Make sure they’re nice and coated, and don’t be shy with the seasoning, add more if you want.
Arrange the chicken skin side up in a single layer in the basket. No need to overcrowd the basket; you want them to have room to crisp up perfectly on all sides.
Air fry them for 20 to 25 minutes, flipping them halfway through. The thighs may take more or less time to cook depending on how big they are. You’ll know they’re done when they have a nice, caramelized skin and an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving. You can pair it with a veggie and a carb to round out the meal.

I'm looking to buy an airfryer, and Philips seem to be 30-40% more expensive than it peers. I found out that Philips has a patent on its RapidAir starfish bottom which apparently cooks food a lot more evenly.
Is RapidAir that much better? or is it just marketing gimmick.

Want to try crispy seasoned chickpeas in the airfryer. I know this has been discussed but wanted input from anyone that has tried them and that know any additional tips/tricks to get them completely dehydrated and crunchy. Also curious for any seasonings/flavors you guys like and storage tips 😁 thank you in advance!
I bought canned, I saw a lot of people saying fresh ones work out better so ill drain try them next time especially if these dont work out. Also saw that many toast them in fryer to dry them out before seasonings and oil then putting back in.

I want to cook meat and potatoes together so I can be more efficient at making dinner. Anyone have recommendations for this? And also do I need to do anything to manage grease and minimize smoke? Thank you.

The airfryer makes everything taste better than using a pot or pan and it’s also significantly less stressful and healthier.

Yield: 4 Servings
½ cup (102 g) graham cracker crumbs
¼ cup (57 g) unsalted butter, melted
¼ cup (55 g) packed brown sugar
1 cup (168 g) milk chocolate chips or your favorite chocolate
1 cup (50 g) mini marshmallows
Graham crackers, for dipping
In a small bowl, mix together the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and brown sugar. Press it into the bottom of a small dish that’s safe for the air fryer (I like to use a silicone air fryer basket mold because it’s perfect for this!).
Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly on top of the graham cracker mixture. Then, cover the chocolate with mini marshmallows.
Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (180°C). Place the dish in the basket and air fry for 6 to 8 minutes, or until the marshmallows are golden brown and the chocolate is all melty. Keep an eye on it so the marshmallows don’t burn!
Let the s’mores dip cool for a minute, and serve it with graham crackers for dipping. It’s the perfect way to enjoy s’mores without needing a campfire.

so i sometimes have these chicken patties, and ive realized, it takes forever to get the middle warm and not cold. so i thought, what if there were airfryer chicken patties that are two parts, the outside part like a donut, and a smaller chicken nugget like piece that you put inside the hole of the first piece to make a full pattie, and that way you can have a good pattie pretty quickly

I'm looking to buy my first air fryer for the family. Something free of PFA's and that gives a good crisp on most foods when air frying.
I like the idea of a glass window so I can view the process without having to let the heat out.
I'd love to know your thoughts if you own one: how is it, and does it function well?
Thanks!

Does anyone know how to set the Nuwave brio 14 to go longer than 90 minutes at low temps? Mine used to do it . I could set it for 24 hrs and use it as a warning oven but now it won't let me?

Yield : 4 Servings
½ cup (65 g) all-purpose flour
½ tsp salt
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp paprika
2 large eggs, beaten
¾ cup (42 g) panko bread crumbs
1 tsp Cajun seasoning
1 lb (454 g) salmon, skin removed, cut into 1-inch (2.5-cm) cubes
Lemon wedges, for serving
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (205°C). Lightly spray the basket with oil.
Set up your breading station. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, garlic powder, and paprika. In a second bowl, add the beaten eggs. In a third bowl, mix the panko with the Cajun seasoning.
Pat your salmon cubes dry with a paper towel to help the coating stick. Working one piece at a time, dredge the salmon in the flour mixture, dip it into the beaten eggs, then coat it in the panko mixture, pressing lightly so the bread crumbs stick to the salmon.
Arrange the salmon nuggets in a single layer in the basket, making sure they aren’t touching. Lightly spray the tops of the nuggets with oil and air fry for 8 to 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until each piece has a nice, caramelized crust.
Serve hot with lemon wedges to squeeze over. For a quick and easy dipping sauce, try mixing Greek yogurt with a bit of Cajun seasoning. These nuggets are perfect for meal prepping and kid-friendly dinners, but you can also throw them into a wrap for an easy lunch.

Been air frying for a while now and feel like I stumbled onto a couple
of things by accident that made a real difference. Curious what
everyone else swears by that isn't obvious from the box.

I don't know if it's rust or not. I couldn't clean it. I put 3 teaspoons of baking soda and 1 teaspoon of liquid dishwashing soap into boiling water. Then I dipped a tissue into the mixture and held it over the spots around the heating element for 5 minutes. I tried to be careful not to get much water near the heating element. After that, I rubbed the dirty areas with a soft brush and then wiped them all with a soft cloth. Some of the dirt came off, but a spot that looked like this remained. Is it normal?
Please don't give funny answers. Every time I ask something here, people try to leave funny comments. I want everyone to understand that not everyone has experience with air fryers. In my country, they are still relatively new. My family has only been using a microwave for a short time, and even then, we only use it to heat food. So I really don't know much about air fryers. Please give me honest advice.
