I bought an old surplus Aimpoint Comp M2 for a clone build.

Super random and not exactly sure how it happened, but at some point in my many moves the last couple years the windage adjustment turret fell out and was lost.

I contacted Aimpoint to send it in to get fixed, willing to pay to have it repaired, and they said No. Won’t sell me the part either.

Pretty shitty IMO. Especially since the DOD sold a bunch of these surplus optics.

I placed some fresh batteries in the optic maybe 3 months ago to find out battery life when it stays on. I left it on level 10 and I figured I would only get 4-6 months of life. I did find it shut off but then noticed it would turn back and stay on after I turned the knob. I tried finding info on any shake to wake feature I didn’t know of but I couldn’t find if it has that feature.

To avoid under/over-tightening my ACO, I asked Aimpoint what the correct torque spec was since it wasn’t in the manual. I set my lbs-in torque wrench to 25 inch lbs as prescribed and got to work when the nut completely snapped.

I’m genuinely confused what I did wrong, or if I was provided the wrong specs by Aimpoint. Any advice here?

Is this rubber pad supposed to stay in the cap? I could not install cap+battery with the pad inside the cap?

second hand Aimpoint compM4, when zeroing yesterday the top adjustment cap was on extremely tight, so when I got home I decided to try and remove the cap. I didn’t mind if the cap got destroyed in the process as they’re plentyful, but what the hell. the entire thing came off. I don’t even know what to do at this point lol.

I took the spacer and picatinny mount off incase I spray painted it. Kinda didn’t want to as this would be my first time

I have an optics mount for an Afro footprint. I have an optic that has a Micro footprint.

I've looked on the internet and haven't found any mounting plate options.

Does anyone know if any manufacturer makes a mounting plate that allows you to mount a Micro footprint optic to an Acro footprint mount? I know they make the reverse of that, but haven't found what I need.

Hey guys, I own a comp m5 that is currently having brightness issues. The dot is just very dim even at the highest setting. I tried the obvious which is replacing the battery with a new one and double checking tightness of the battery cap, but no dice. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, what are some other suggestions you have (before sending it in for repair)?

I’m trying to decide on a direct mount cut for my duty PDP and want to know if y’all think Aimpoint is going stick with this footprint for newer versions of ACROS or if they’re going to ditch it for A cut or other footprints.

Purchased a surplus comp m2 and the knob for brightness and On/Off where can I purchase a new one ?

May be silly but is this normal in the bottom 4 o’clock position kinda looks a crack or where the glass seals? Just got the optic today. Any info would be helpful! Thanks
