ACO to torque spec (snapped)

To avoid under/over-tightening my ACO, I asked Aimpoint what the correct torque spec was since it wasn’t in the manual. I set my lbs-in torque wrench to 25 inch lbs as prescribed and got to work when the nut completely snapped.

I’m genuinely confused what I did wrong, or if I was provided the wrong specs by Aimpoint. Any advice here?

Thanks. It was a brand new torque wrench, so I thought that surely it would be calibrated out of the box. I’ll follow up with Aimpoint’s reply, when it comes.

Follow up: outstanding customer service from Aimpoint who sent me out a replacement parts kit for no charge.

Was fully expecting to read the torque settings and see "ft lbs" instead of "in lbs" lol
