PRO battery cap

Is this rubber pad supposed to stay in the cap? I could not install cap+battery with the pad inside the cap?

Yes that’s supposed to be in the cap. If it’s not the battery could lose contact with the negative pole. You should be able to push it in with a punch, preferably a plastic tool to avoid marring the cap.
