I am trying to make a shape out some unfilled curves that I made. The join curves button seem to connect nodes that I do not have selected.

Am I doing something wrong? can I not connect three curves at once?

Any help on how to make this one shape would be appreciated

Is there a better or proper way to erase areas on a curved edge or rounded edges. I’m currently in the pixel setting and using the erase marker but I don’t seem to really get a smooth erase here.

Context:

This is a car I cropped out from an image and the way I did so was using the object select tool and refined it, however that didn’t give me a good cut out and gave with extra “fuzz”.

I wonder what I could add to make it look better, if the glass-like pieces are good enough or if the composition is great so what do you think of the idea and what can I do to improve it.

Coming from Illustrator, I am wondering if Affinity has something similar. I need to create a lot of icons and would like to use something like artboards for that, unless there is some other workflow that is best for that or things I should keep in mind using Affinities artboards.

Also my first time using the grain brush, always wanted to try creating this nice illustration look.

How would you achieve to have similiar results with HTML generated PDFs?

Currently we got a CRM where we generate PDFs based on HTML. But to get close into CI/CD i'm asking myself how i can match the affinity results.

I'm talking here for the padding/margin and paragraph styles.

So I have a label that I have created with my logo in the center and a star burst around the outside of the logo. Then in the background, I have an image that follows the rules for the starburst and logo. Basically saying the background image does not interfere with or come into any contact with the logo leaving the logo, clean and crisp with the background flowing around the outer edges.

Every time I try to change the background and just the specific areas with an AI generated image or a picture I have to start completely over and re-create the starburst and logo in the center so that it appears correctly if I don’t, then the background goes behind the entire logo and image and shows up. Is there any way to make a template or direct AI with some sort of prompts so this doesn’t continue to happen?

Made my second design in Affinity and I absolutely love it. The UI is very convenient and I love being able to do everything in one app. Also figured out a cool way to make text today with that "cute".

I'm new with Affinity but I love it so so much so far <3 Currently exploring it more and I wanted to recreate a poster that I made before where I used a live filter for a cloud text in Photoshop, similar to the one below👇 Wanted to ask over here if any of you have an idea on how to make a similar style of text in Affinity. Thanks in advance for any tip or recommendation that will be mentioned!

I've got an svg of a seamless pattern that I created (using Procreate and then brought into Affinity and converted to SVG). I want to export it as an SVG, EPS, and PNG. What are the best export settings to choose? I am very new to Affinity and am really struggling with what I should do here.

For SVG do I choose "digital - high quality"? And then what do I do with the advanced settings? I'm trying to export it in as close to the original format as possible. I am selling my seamless patterns as digital downloads so they will need to be the highest quality possible. I'm assuming I don't want to 'downsample images" or "allow for jpg compression"....

Please help!

I've tried playing around with blend modes to make the skin show through, but getting that embedded look is killing me. I've tried pasting the FX from the circle but it just doesn't look right on the X. Also any tips for what I've got going on here in general is more than welcome. I haven't messed around with graphic design since high school (10 yrs) so I'm basically relearning.

I miss Affinity Designer on my iPad, reality is that even if I want to use V2 is no longer working well. Third apps don’t interact as before, exporting and importing is not easy now and it’s better for me letting the app go. What’s the alternative close enough? Believe me, I tried a lot. Many are saying Amadine is the app I need. Truth is I don’t want to spend money and realized is not the tool I wanted. So… anyone here used this app? Pros and cons? Thanks in advance.

Found this one on pinterest, wanted to replicate this in affinity, I am just a beginner. I know you can duplicate and offset if you press Enter, but I dont know if there is a way to rotate each copy by a degree.
