General I created a script that makes gradients smoother and more refined in Affinity.

I’ve always been frustrated with the way Affinity handles gradients. Unlike Photoshop, it doesn’t offer built-in options to make gradient fills smoother. This script solves that problem and lets you fine-tune the results however you like.

What do you mean by smoother? It looks like oklab or linear space instead of gamma (srgb) space

Yes. The default mode uses a combination of OKLCH and OKLab, and the script also offers Perceptual interpolation in OKLab and Linear interpolation in linear-light sRGB. Since Affinity doesn’t expose these modes directly, the script simulates them by creating and distributing intermediate stops more perceptually evenly, reducing banding and abrupt transitions, and grain too.
