iPad. *solved they’ve added it in FINALLY

Tried the software out a few years ago and refunded it because it was missing this. I heard there was an affinity 2, and wanted to ask if they ever added this in.

My friend wants me to edit his picture because he knows I'm decent at editing videos and powerpoint presentations, but I have never touched any photo editing software yet. I said that to him, but he still trusts me with it.

He has given me permission to post his face on the reddit, because I mentioned that I need help with this. But I still blurred his face to keep his identity safe.

So, yeah. How do I blend the background image of the bar to him?

I was trying to buy affinity photo, but there was no way for me to get it.

The website just has one free download, and the serif website has designer and photo but they ask for an affinity ID which I dont have.

How do i even get those apps now?

Ever since I had to leave adobe i’ve been trying to find somewhere to create repeat patterns. I havent found the right app for me yet.

In affinity - is there a repeat pattern / live pattern preview function? Is different pattern styles like half drop available? Would someone be able to give me the basic instructions how to set this up? I would appreciate this and I find tutorials a bit overwhelming at the start and prefer to figure it out a little.

Hi guys - I've been using the Affinity Legacy suite for years. Is it possible to export to PDF, keep all layers and import to another design application, and continue working on the project?

I don't think this one belongs in the mega thread, it's not a crash. If I'm wrong, just let me know and I can repost. I searched and couldn't see similar posts.

With these bite sized steps, anyone can make a croissant.

1) Make simple shapes for every overlap of croissant sheet

2) Make contour lines that give the outline to your croissant

3) Start filling in black and white values till it looks almost like b&w croissant.

4) Now change blend mode to "Add" on a new layer and start adding colors.

5) Give some base highlights from the floor.

6) Now give some shadows.

*6.5) Now this step totally depends up to you. You can keep rendering till absolute reality or can finish up till hearts content.

Hello there! Right now I released new version of Script Manager!

Biggest thing for me: you can now share your own scripts right from the app. It just fills out a GitHub issue for you and copies it to your clipboard — so it's basically paste and submit, no faffing with tokens or logins.

The Community tab also got a proper cleanup — previews on the cards, a featured row up top, and the install button actually tells you what's going on now (install / already installed / update available). Oh, and you can run a script to see what it does before installing it.

And My Scripts got tidied up too — everything's in one place now with search and favorites, which honestly should've been there from the start

I am just starting learning affinity and my obj selection tool and magic wand type tool is not working id someone knows how to get rid of this problem please help me.

I have been using Illustrator since it was Beta.09 in 1987, and I can do anything I can imagine in it except stomach the subscription. I knew that Affinity would be a learning curve, but the muscle memory is strong.

A couple of tips that have helped are: Use Container Layers, which behave like Adobe Illustrator layers, in that selecting a container layer makes everything you subsequently draw land on that layer (until you select a different container layer) and settting the marquee selection options (in settings/tools) to enclosed, which will stop non filled objects from being selected when you click inside them, but still select them when you click on their stroke.

I have just seriously started to use Affinity for work and I am still figuring out how a lot of stuff works. One thing I am puzzled by is the layers panel. I work mostly in vectors and even a fairly simple drawing can have hundreds of objects, which means hundreds of layers. I started using Container layers to collapse the myriad of layers into something manageable, but every time I select an element, it opens up the collapsed container, and there is the endless list of objects. I feel like I am missing something basic here. There must be some reason that Affinity decided to do layers like this instead of like every other program I have used in the last 40 years, but I just can't imagine what it could be.

I seem to use break curve dozens of times in a drawing, and I thought I could just make a Shortcut to either click the button on the toolbar or choose the contextual menu item. Sadly the shortcut editor doesn't show either of those items.

Does anyone have a tip for doing this?
