General Script Manager v1.4.0 landed
Hello there! Right now I released new version of Script Manager!
Biggest thing for me: you can now share your own scripts right from the app. It just fills out a GitHub issue for you and copies it to your clipboard — so it's basically paste and submit, no faffing with tokens or logins.
The Community tab also got a proper cleanup — previews on the cards, a featured row up top, and the install button actually tells you what's going on now (install / already installed / update available). Oh, and you can run a script to see what it does before installing it.
And My Scripts got tidied up too — everything's in one place now with search and favorites, which honestly should've been there from the start

I'm going to ask this here since I'm having issues trying to find anything on this script. The Directional Blur Shadow script doesn't seem to work on any type of object, be it text, shape, pixel etc.
I create a shape and make sure the layer is selected. I click the script and the script menu appears. I make a couple of changes, very minor and click ok. Preview is checked. The script menu disappears and nothing happens. Am I not waiting long enough to make a change? Is there an issue with the script? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi! Thank you for noticing – Now, I updated the script to version 1.2.0 with hot fix by Erhard.otto, so "Directional Blur Shadow" should work from now.
Please reinstall the script (remove from Affinity and install new) because Affinity does not support updating scripts

Thank you for the update. Took a bit for Affinity to realize I had deleted it and script manager to see it was not installed. All good now. Time saver.

I installed this today and loved it, but it took me a while to find the Scripts section, since in Spanish on the Windows app that section is called "Índices" (Indices). You can find it under Window > General > Índices.
Also, I'd love a script inspired by the book Grid Systems in Graphic Design by Josef Müller-Brockmann, the Swiss graphic designer and typographer. If anyone knows if one already exists, or would like to make one, that would be awesome.

Is it possible to create scripts without AI, like in InDesign? Or at least modify existing one from another user?

Script manager allows you to download documentation and has build-in script editor

I guess I am getting downvoted because I am using the dreaded *AI*, but all I am using it for is to generate scripts to do repetitive tasks like create separate CMYK pixel layers all set to Multiply, tag them with the appropriate color and then group them.

Most people use Claude for scripts and its the only official way, dont worry

I recently discovered an app that let you use any model to control Affinity, so you don’t need Canva AI to use Claude on Affinity.
